Smooth transaction and delivery

Smooth transaction and delivery, it was well packaged. The only thing I wish was different on the watch would be to have the alternate date set to be Japanese characters.

Axios deserves to be on everyone's list…

Axios deserves to be on everyone's list if they are looking for a beautiful quality watch.

I have both the Ironclad (1st release) and the newly released Flagship and honestly, I love them both. I swap them out daily. I have even considered wearing them both...one on each wrist.

Could not be happier with Axios

Stuart was incredibly helpful answering my questions regarding the new Axios Flagship Victory. I was quite pleased with his timeliness and ended up purchasing the watch based on his answers to my questions.

Love my Flagship Temeraire!

The Axios Flagship Temeraire is a gorgeous watch - the dual aqua and orange color bezel with the black dial is stunning. One of my friends liked it so much he bought the Victory with that amazing Teal sunburst - quite honestly I was torn between the two. The BOR bracelet is super comfortable and as well made as my Doxa Sub 300. Axios Flagship is a great watch at a really great price. Thanks guys - keep 'em coming!

I’ve been collecting watches for…

I’ve been collecting watches for 20-plus years and I’ve got everything from Invicta to Rolex in my boxes. I must say, the bang for buck factor with Axios is through the roof! The fit and finish is impeccable! I was so impressed with the first Ironclad “Emerald Night” that I purchased, I immediately turned around and ordered a Flagship “Temeraire”! Congratulations on an epic debut of your brand!

I bought the Flagship “temeraire”…

I bought the Flagship “temeraire” originally and upon receiving and seeing the quality and design firsthand as well as the great feel on wrist, had to follow up and grab the “Ajax” variant as well. Both excellent, beautiful time pieces. Everything is rock solid!

My favorite microbrand by far

I’ve purchased both the Ironclad and Flagship models. I’m impressed with the level of quality present in both pieces for the investment. Beautiful watches with their own distinct character for a great value. Shipping was extremely fast. Looking forward to your next collection!

Greg

Greg - I am sure this might feel like disapointment, however there are two main things to consider. First - screws do that all the time, especially when connecting two moving parts (dont thing about it as a spring axle) - this is absolutely normal thing, not uncommon, and much more expensive watches can have similar problem. However - the routine, and also good advice from many watchmakers is to either use a drop of glue, or even the nail varnish to the top end of the screw to ensure the screw on place. It is a practise known also in autosport, and many other things and products dealing with screws on vibrating, turning, moving or exposed places. Last thing - there is not proper and definitive technical solution to this, principally. You could put a nut on the second end of screw, via outside drilled link, to get thing done. Now consider the aesthetics of that. So as you can see, there is not much ground to play on. Also considering the price/ratio value, it would be pitty for yourself to loose trust for product/brand offering one really a lot, for peanuts - just for minor thing, which is quite normal and not a big deal. Enjoy the watch. They deserve it !

Axios Ironclad 40 - Northern Sky

A proper review of my Axios Ironclad would require a detailed narrative of a thousand words or more. So, I'll get right to the point: I like it. Highly recommended.

Quality control issues with bracelet

The watch itself is very nice. I have issues with the link screws on the bracelet backing out. I tightened them as much as I could without damaging the head, but after a couple of days, one screw almost came out. Contacted Axios, but disappointed with their resolution. Their response: “I'm so sorry for the screw issue. However, if you could tighten all the screws on the bracelet, the problem should be rectified. Also, some customers use a sealant called Loctite to doubly ensure that the screws do not back out.“
Not acceptable. They sell a defective bracelet and I’m required to buy Loctite to fix their quality control issue. I expected better.

Awesome watch, Axios Ironclad Northern Lights

Just received my Ironclad Northern Lights diver yesterday. I had read all the available online reviews and watched all the Youtube reviews before buying the watch from Singapore-based Axios. I was expecting a good looking watch with decent timekeeping performance for the current $550 US. As background on my point of reference, my collection includes Rolex, Omega, Panerai, IWC, and Breitling at the upper end, along with a variety of Seiko (USA & JDM), Orient, and Steinhart autos at the mid to low end of the spectrum.

The Axios watch that I received exceeded my expectations. In person, the finish quality of the case, dial, bezel, and domed crystal is better than I expected. The bracelet and milled clasp are very decent quality. The applied markers and dial finish are excellent and easily rival that of much more expensive watches. Finally, being an admitted movement snob that was a bit wary of Sellita movement quality never having owned one till recently, I have to say that this movement feels (upon winding and setting) like a high quality Swiss movement. Bezel turns nicely and has no backplay. On my timegrapher, the timekeeping is generally within plus or minus 4 to 6 seconds, and with a healthy and very acceptsble amplitude ams best error. I’m am now totally fine with Sellitas not to mention a bit impressed.

Finally, I have to compliment the Axios company owners on their awesome customer service. Communication and email response is extremely prompt and courteous!!! Not to mention the DHL free shipping, which was super fast. Singapore to Hawaii in about 3-4 days!

Thank you to Stuart, Elshan, and Justin for designing and manufacturing an excellent time piece for the price. And then there is “Kristine”, a gal that seems to be Axios’ primary customer service rep. She is THE BEST! and she makes the entire process of purchase & ordering, and arranging shipping really easy and fast.
