The four driver-guides were exceptionally thoughtful and helpful. Beautiful islands seen at ca leisurely pace that suited us older travellers.

Eunice was extremely helpful in giving us information before we booked. The car hire, hotels and flights were all organised for us on our self-drive tour of the Azores which made it very easy and stress-free for us. Highly recommended

Although not super communicative after buying the trip about what to expect, all the tours and the transfers were absolutely on time the tours were excellent in quality. The tour guides were great. As for the free days; it is easy to get taxis and the rates to the common destinations are fixed ( no price shopping) and the buses are easy to use.

Now that we’be been back home for a couplen months and rested up from our exciting adventures, I wanted to take this time to tell you again how wonderful you were to work with in planning an unforgettable experience.

We had a little “glitch” in our arrival from New York. The airport at Ponta Delgada was closed due to heavy fog and rain, so our flight was diverted to Lisbon. We were there for most of the day, and when we finally were able to get to Ponta Delgada, we had missed our flight to Flores. However, SATA Airlines arranged overnight accommodation at a hotel near the airport, issued us vouchers for taxi transportation and meals. We were very happy about that. It was around noon when we finally made it to Flores the following day, and Lurdes Noya was there to greet us and give us a 4-hour tour before she took us to Hotel Ocidental. She met us the next morning and we completed touring the rest of the beautiful island. She took us to the airport and even got us checked in for our flight to Pico.

When we arrived in Pico, Nancy Matos picked us up and got us settled into our accommodation in Madalena. We had a fabulous tour of Pico the next day with Nancy and the driver (I think his name was Gonzalo, but not 100% sure). It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed every minute of our tour and the knowledge both Nancy and Gonzalo had about the island.

The ferry ride from Pico to São Jorge was cold, but not unbearable, and we saw the most fantastic sunset. When we arrived in Velas, Antonio was waiting and got us settled into his B&B. Our guide was Luis Maciel; he showed us an amazing time, and we loved the entire island.

We were very happy to learn that Nancy would also be our guide when we got to Horta. It was Mother's Day in Portugal on the Sunday we toured Faial, so there were not a lot of people out and about. We discovered, and drove through the village (or I guess maybe a parish?) where my Avó Sylva’s father was born and raised - Praia do Norte. It was very special to know that I was where my Bisavó Joseph Antonio Leal was from.

Each island had it’s own unique character but each was absolutely breathtaking with their lush, green landscapes, the beautiful fajas, the non-stop ocean views, and the lovely people. We loved seeing every one of them. And, mostly, each of our guides - Lurdes, Nancy, and Luis - were fantastic. The three of them were so informative and knowledgeable about the islands, and very proud to be Portuguese. They were so patient with all of the questions we had about the islands, and would translate into English when we wanted to know specific words and even patiently helped us pronounce the Portuguese words correctly. Not too sure we succeeded very well, but they were always encouraging in our attempts. 😊

We had such an excellent time and hope to make it happen again. I can’t think of anymore wonderfully descriptive words to use to let you know how much it meant to me to work with you, and the kindness, guidance, and planning you did to to ensure we were able to have the vacation of a lifetime.

I will definitely steer any family or friends to you for any vacations they may wish to take to the Azores or Portugal - because I want them to have THE BEST travel planner ever!

In spite of a few initial challenges with our flights, our four island private tour (Sao Miguel, Terceira, Faial & Pico) was amazing.
Our hotel accommodations were exactly as described!
Our personal favorite, was Terceira and we would return in a heart beat!

Our sales representative was very helpful and knowledgeable in getting us the best deal possible for our trip.
She went above and beyond to accommodate us. My husband and I were travelling with our son and his family.

I own a tour company in New York and wanted to tour the Azores to assess if this destination would offer an amazing experience for my travelers.
The answer is ABSOLUTELY! Eunice planned an excellent itinerary for my 'scouting' trip. I explored three islands and all of the hotels were outstanding. The planned activities, flow of the itinerary and my two guides were excellent. I highly recommend this company. I am now bringing a group of twenty guests to explore the Azores in May.

From the first email exchange inquiring about a possible trip to thd Azores to the final changes, Katarina was amazing. We had an unusual trip planned in that we flew into Sao Miguel and left on a friend's sailboat from Terceira. She was able to make several changes after the initial booking to accomodate us seamlessly. The guides on each island were friendly and knowledgeable. The accommodations were comfortable, clean and in great locations. We have recommended Azores.com to numerous people!!!

We took the independent tour, with hotels and cars arranged for us. All worked perfectly and trekking around was a wonderful experience.

Usually when travelling, we travel independently however this time for our trip to the Azores we decided to employ the services of the lovely Catarina at Azores.com. This was by far the best decision we could have made. Communication at all times was excellent. She was happy to tailor our 10 day Azores trip to our needs. When a flight from Lisbon to Ponta Delgado was cancelled, meaning we missed our flight to Flores plus missed our private Flores day tour, everything was rescheduled so that we missed nothing. Our tours of Flores, Pico, Faial and San Miguel were exceptional. Once again because of rain in Faial, our tour was rescheduled to enable us to have a better experience. Our guides Lourdes in Flores, Nancy in Faial and Andre in San Miguel definitely helped make our holiday in the Azores one of our best holiday experiences. We had our trip organized by Eunice from the beginning to the end. Everything went perfect: pick ups, hotels, plane tickets between the islands, tour guides etc. Everybody was expecting us in due time and knew what to do. We are most grateful that we could just absorb the beauty of the islands and relax.

Our 2 week vacation to the Azores was Amazing!! We loved everything about our trip. The accommodations, exceptional tour guides, flights & ferries all worked out seamlessly. We obsoletely fell in love with the islands and the culture. I really felt connected to my lineage. It was truly a 10 out of 10 for a vacation. I recommend everyone to take a trip via this company. You won't be disappointed!!

We had an amazing experience in the Azores. We booked the 5 island, self driving package. The planning process was a breeze. Dealing with Azores.com could not have been better. The islands are magical, truly a hidden gem. We went in early April. The weather was a bit challenging but not a deal breaker. The Azaleas were blooming everywhere, but not the famous Hydrangeas (they are everywhere). Those bloom in summer, but we chose to avoid the crowds. Having a rental car on every island was the way to go. All of the rentals and accommodations went seamlessly. The hotels were beautiful, great staff, incredible breakfasts. If we had to do it again, we would avoid Flores, as it's a bit run down (although a beautiful island). We were pretty tired by then with all the flights and changing islands. It would be hard to choose just a few islands. They are all unique and stunning. I think Terceira, Faial and Sao Miguel may be my picks.
