Have used babes in the womb several times over the years, 2007, 2008, 2015 & now 2025! The service is really easy to book online. Staff are extremely friendly and really go that extra mile to get as clear as possible images / video clips. Such a high standard professional service. We’ve booked early dating, reassurance, sexing, 3D, 4D scans over the years and have had an amazing unforgettable experience with all. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I would strongly suggest going to a professional clinic for Scans under 12 weeks. This company claims to do early scanning between 7-14 weeks but do not have a equipment for early scanning (trans-vaginal). This facility apeared to have a what looked like old equipment. Could not tell from website. As a result the sonographer could not see very much and was pressing down with extreme pressure. I have had pregnancy scans before but not like this! She kept saying I should go to NHS to have it done as she couldn't see properly and said that they can do the other scan. Which confirms they should not be advertising this! All she could see was the sac which I knew would be the case based on date range and wrong equipment. Yet she still took our money and gave us a scan picture which didn't show very much. Within an hour I was showing signs of bleeding. This did not cause my miscarrage but obviously caused some trauma to my body. She was extremely unprofessional and had no empathy. The receptionist was lovely although not professional enough for the environment. The place had a vibe of a run down makeshift beauty room in an old office space. You are made to wait in an area shared with other companies where they hold kids parties etc. If you are looking for 3D or 4D scans and are further on in your pregnancy, but not fussed for something clean and professional then it will tick the box. However, don't go if you are looking for a professional early scan for reassurance. Unfortunately, my partner and I didn't realise the NHS would provide such early scans if you contact them.

We came in last weekend for a 4D scan (third time coming here) and was very happy with the service that was provided! Baby girl wasn’t co operating so we were allowed to go a walk get lunch and come back, when we came back baby was in a really good position to get all the photos we needed!! The women explained everything and gave us different angles! We came here for our reassurance scan and also our gender scan and would highly recommend! Amazing service which also makes the whole experience enjoyable.

Got an early scan package for a friend as a gift. Their whole experience from start to finish was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Lovely experience, we came here with our 1st pregnancy and glad to come back with our 2nd.

We had a great experience getting early reassurance scans and a gender reveal scan many weeks later at Babes In The Womb. Reception staff were incredibly friendly and build up our excitement prior to entering the scan room to see our little baby. The sonographers were really friendly and took time to explain what we could see on the screen and even "zoomed in" on the baby’s heartbeat which you could hear over speakers in the room. It was amazing! We came out of the scans really reassured that out baby is growing well and felt so comfortable in such a warm and welcoming environment. Thank you so much.

Another amazing experience here! Before having our daughter in 2021 we attended babes in the womb approx 4 times for scans. Nothing matched the excitement we felt knowing we were going to see baby at different milestones. Early days, gender, 4D and reassurance scans. We are expecting our next little girl and have visited twice more for our gender and 4D scan once again. The staff compliment the business perfectly and are approachable as well as professional. Nothing is too much trouble for either the reception staff or sonographer. We have visited two other clinics in Edinburgh and this is by far our favourite. Don’t worry if baby is being shy because they always do everything they can to help you both out. I wish wish wish my partner would let me come more often 🤣

Staff are absolutely wonderful.
Answer each and every question and make you feel so comfortable.
Would recommend to all pregnant women!

We went last night worried and emotional as unfortunately our first child never made it.

The lady was fantastic she comforted my wife, gave tissues and just was polite.

Thankfully the lady gave us some amazing news and everything was fine ( massive weight off our shoulders )

I have used Babes in the Womb after being recommended them by a colleague and I'm so happy with the service provided so far. Darren and their sonographer has really made us feel at ease after a previous loss, and has went above and beyond to make our journey special. I have booked regular scans with them throughout the duration of our pregnancy knowing that I am in safe hands and look forward to watching our little miracle grow along the way thanks to Babes in the Womb and their fantastic services. Amazing value for money, friendly & helpful staff, clean clinic that adheres to covid rules. We luckily got to find out the gender of our baby at 17 weeks as we couldnt wait to find out. Would highly recommend Babes in the Womb to everyone and we will definitely be back in the future!

We have been to Babes in The Womb 3 times now and have had the best experience every time. We came for an 8 week scan, a 16 week gender reveal and our 4d scan, and every experience has honestly been magical. We will remember these days for the rest of our lives. I could not recommend Babes in The Womb more, this is my first baby and they ensure you feel relaxed and answer any questions you may have. Amazing staff, great room and overall fantastic. I had my 4d scan at babes in the womb and I can honestly say the whole experience was amazing been able to bring my daughter in made it even more special the staff were very welcoming and went the extra mile to make sure we got good pictures the scan wasnt rushed we got a good look at baby we all came away with massive smiles on our faces cant thank them enough for making sure we had the best experience🙂
