Great communication from their team

Great communication from their team. I ordered a stroller, stroller bumper bar, and rain cover. Delivery took around 5 weeks due to a delay, but they informed me promptly after I contacted them by email. Their response was quick, and they kept me updated throughout the process.

I would definitely recommend them, especially if you’re planning your nursery well in advance. If you have a little extra time before you need your items, it’s worth waiting a few weeks to save some money. Their prices, particularly for strollers and prams, are significantly better than many other retailers.

I purchased a travel system and newborn…

I purchased a travel system and newborn bundle in January, with my baby due on 5th July. We paid the balance in full in April, even though the final payment wasn't due until May. I was advised that the order would be delivered approximately five weeks before my due date.

After calling to update my delivery address following a house move, I received no further communication. By 28th May, I still hadn't heard anything about my order, so I contacted the company myself. I was asked to leave a voicemail and later received an email stating that if I contacted the company again within their 48-hour response window, my query would be moved down the response list. I found this very frustrating, particularly given the time-sensitive nature of my order.

Throughout the following weeks, I exchanged numerous emails with the delivery coordinator and was given several different estimated shipment and delivery dates. I also visited the store in person, where the staff could see my order but were unable to provide any information about its fulfilment or expected delivery.

Eventually, I received part of my order, including the car seat, ISOFIX base, and a few smaller items. However, the main item—the travel system itself—was still outstanding. When I contacted the company again, I was simply told that the remainder would be delivered over next few days.

As the estimated delivery dates continued to change, I explained that I was due to be admitted for a planned C-section on 22nd June and urgently needed the remainder of my order before then. Unfortunately, the company was still unable to provide a definite delivery date or any reassurance that it would arrive in time. At that point, I felt I had no option but to request a refund.

This was a significant purchase that I ordered months in advance and paid for in full well before the deadline. While I appreciate that delays can happen, the lack of communication, inconsistent information, and inability to provide clear updates were extremely disappointing. Expectant parents rely on these essential items arriving when promised, and I expected a much higher standard of customer service.

Car seat nephew

Purchased a car seat for my nephew, it arrived within three weeks as was advertised at the time of purchase. The staff in the shop were absolutely delightful and fitted the car seat into my sisters car when we brought it in. Amazing service I highly recommend.

Very disappointed with my experience

Very disappointed with my experience. The delivery took far longer than expected, and there was very little communication throughout the process. I had to chase for updates myself, and it was difficult to get clear information about when my order would arrive. Better communication and more reliable delivery would have made a huge difference. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend shopping here.

Avoid - save yourself the stress

Avoid. Just save yourself the stress and go elsewhere.
Ordered and fully paid in store in Dublin for almost €2k worth of items for our newborn in mid April. We were assured we would receive our order 4 weeks in advance of our due date.
We had to ring, email, and text many many times to get any responses and updates with constant excuses and ‘apologies’ but no deliveries. It caused us huge stress at a time we didn’t need it. We eventually ended up receiving our buggy etc after our due date. We had already spent further money elsewhere to be organised for our baby. All the while, the social media was running constantly advertising the products that they were not sending to us.

If I could give zero stars I would

I ordered an expensive changing chest from this company and mistakingly did not check the reviews as when you visit their store their staff are actually very knowledgeable and helpful. I was told there would be a 5 week waiting time which was fine. The item of course did not arrive within 5 weeks, it did arrive over 2 months later however product completely faulty, railings hanging off which meant it’s totally not fit for use. Baby due to arrive next week and this was our only storage unit for the nursery is absolutely not what I need.
Do not order from this incompetent company!!

If I could give zero I would

If I could give zero I would.
Expecting my first child and ordered a cot and changing table that were expensive. At the end of March. I was told it would take 4-5 weeks for delivery. It is now the end of June and like everyone else’s reviews I get the same email saying there are delays. And it will be with me in the next week, which it never is,
I constantly have to follow up with them as they gave no communication on any delays unless I contacted them,

Why sell a product that you can’t stock.
I most certainly will not be buying from them again.
Worst experience I have ever had with a company

If I could give it 0 stars I would…

If I could give it 0 stars I would Absolutely disgraceful experience from start to finish.

I placed and fully paid for my order in February, expecting a straightforward service, especially for something as important as a pram. In April, I was suddenly told the item was out of stock — two months after taking my full payment. Completely unacceptable.

From that point on, I was given nothing but false promises and runarounds. I was told on three separate occasions that my pram would be delivered, and not once did it arrive on the dates provided. Each time I had to chase for updates myself, only to be given another excuse and another new delivery date.

Now, the worst part — I am currently overdue with my baby, and still have no pram. Instead of resolving the situation, the shop decided to cancel my order entirely at the last minute. No urgency, no accountability, and absolutely no consideration for the position they’ve put me in.

This has caused unnecessary stress at a time when I should be preparing for my baby, not dealing with incompetence.

I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this shop. Taking full payment for items they don’t have, failing to deliver repeatedly, and then cancelling when it suits them is beyond unacceptable.

Ordered pram not supplied had to shop elsewhere at short notice

I ordered a pram from BabyDoc Shop in April after confirming with customer service that ordering then would allow plenty of time for delivery before my baby was due in July. The website stated a delivery timeframe of approximately 4–6 weeks.

Unfortunately, after placing the order, I experienced multiple delays and had to repeatedly contact the company myself for updates. Each time, the expected delivery date was pushed back. Eventually, I was informed that the colourway I had ordered had been discontinued by the supplier and would no longer be available.

While I appreciate that the discontinuation may have been outside the retailer’s control, it was disappointing that I only learned this after waiting several weeks and following up multiple times. At 36 weeks pregnant, I then had to source an alternative pram at short notice, despite having ordered well in advance based on the delivery assurances provided.

To their credit, BabyDoc Shop processed my refund promptly when requested and responded politely throughout. However, the lack of proactive communication and the repeated delays made what should have been a straightforward purchase unnecessarily stressful.

Based on my experience, I would be cautious about relying on quoted delivery times for important purchases.

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would, don’t dream of ordering from them. Currently still waiting over 3 months for items to which they can’t tell me where it is. Same issue happening my friends who’s due in 2 days and no baby gear

Huge delay and terrible costumer service

Do not buy there if you’d like to have your items before your baby is born!! We bought all expensive items you need to have (buggy, co-sleeper, nursing chair, car seat etc) there. They promised delivery in 4-5 weeks but took over 10 weeks and they wouldn’t reply emails or phone calls with the proper delivery date. Terrible costumer service handling the delay, they only talk to you to sell things, then they are extremely unresponsive. Stay away!

Unreliable

Had a great experience in this store when I ordered and paid in full for my Buggy/travel system. Was promised it would be delivered 4 weeks before my due date. I am now without any buggy or car seat with only 4 weeks left in my pregnancy. I ordered the buggy in January. I also ordered furniture for my nursery and paid in full in April with the promise it would take 2/3 weeks to be delivered to my home. It is now almost mid June and I have had to cancel all orders from this store as they are unreliable and apparently do not pay their suppliers bills and that’s the reasoning for all these delays. This business now holds a substantial amount of my money and I am arguing with them to get it back. Told a refund is being processed but still have not got any proof. I would highly recommend avoiding this business if you want to have all your equipment and the necessities you need for your baby’s arrival.

Unacceptable Service

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Babydoc and would strongly caution anyone considering placing a large order with them, particularly expectant parents who are relying on essential baby items arriving on time.
We placed a substantial order with the Limerick store on 6 April and were advised that delivery would take place during the week commencing 11 May. On 22 April, we received an email explaining that orders were running up to two weeks behind schedule due to fuel protests and the conflict in the Middle East. We were assured that Babydoc would be in contact closer to our original delivery date.
Unfortunately, our expected delivery date came and went without any communication. I had to contact Babydoc myself on 14 May to request an update. Although I eventually received a response, no delivery information was provided. I was then informed that some items would be delayed by a further two to three weeks.
As my due date was approaching, I became increasingly concerned. After contacting the Limerick store directly, some items were dispatched, but the majority of our order remained outstanding with no confirmed delivery date. I explained to Babydoc that, at 34 weeks pregnant, the stress and uncertainty being caused by the lack of communication and repeated delays were unacceptable.
What made matters worse was that, instead of providing a solution, I was asked whether I wanted to cancel my order. This was incredibly frustrating. Having spent months researching and ordering everything needed for our baby, the suggestion that I should simply cancel and attempt to source everything elsewhere so late in my pregnancy was completely unreasonable.
On 2 June, I requested another update and was informed on 4 June that there was now an additional one-to-two-week delay. I was also told that there was still no confirmed dispatch information available for our pram. At this point, almost nine weeks after placing our order, we had been given multiple explanations for delays but still no certainty as to when we would receive the items we had paid for.
With my due date now imminent, my fiancé had to visit the Limerick store in person because I no longer wanted to deal with the stress this situation was causing. We were offered alternatives for two items and a temporary pram, but that is not what we ordered. We simply want the products we selected, purchased, and have been waiting over two months to receive.
At the time of writing, we are still waiting on 11 items with no confirmed delivery date. There is no confidence that the order will arrive before our baby is born.
I also informed Babydoc that I wished to make a formal complaint regarding the handling of this matter. Despite expressing this clearly, I have yet to be provided with any information on how to submit a complaint or details of their complaints process.
The delays themselves are disappointing, but what has been most frustrating is the lack of communication, lack of transparency, and apparent lack of urgency shown throughout. This has been an incredibly stressful experience at a time when expectant parents should be preparing for the arrival of their baby, not chasing updates on orders placed months in advance.

Awful experience

Awful experience. Our car seat and ISOFIX base arrived a week late, and we're still waiting for our buggy, which was supposed to be delivered a month ago. We had our baby last week, and she was already a week overdue, so the delays have been incredibly frustrating.

The communication has been terrible. We've tried emailing both the shop and the Ireland head office in Limerick, but nobody ever replies. Whenever we manage to get through to the head office by phone, they blame the suppliers and tell us we should only be waiting a few more days. We've been hearing that for the last three weeks.

They've also disabled the phones in the Deansgrange store due to "low staff," although whenever you visit there seem to be at least two people behind the counter chatting and not looking particularly busy.

I would strongly recommend going to Mamas & Papas only if you're ordering before your 12-week scan, that might just about give them enough time to deliver everything.
