I just ordered 3 ,yes 3 ,butterfly boxes.
How could I have been so stupid.......

This is a scam. The product is made in Hong Kong. If you decide to return it it must be sent to Hong Kong and you pay and get a 30% refund. Don't buy it or believe the story.

This is a scam. Ordered hedgehog house but it was not fit for purpose as no baffle and could not clean it. As previously noted to return you have to send back to Hong Kong. Very clever playing on people's love of animals. DO NOT HAVE ANY DEALINGS WITH THIS COMPANY.

If I could leave a no star review I would!! Hand made in Devon my arse ! Cheap mass produced crap not as described and when I’ve asked to return it , I have to send it to Hong Kong !!! Not back to “Devon” then ! Absolute bag of crap , don’t waste you money , feel gutted that I fell for it , lesson learned I suppose !

Wish I'd read the reviews first! Nell's hand turned rain drum. Tiny!!! Not as big as A5 piece of paper. Very overpriced

3 rain drums arrived today, yes, they were an inflated price. The advert stated that 2 mallets would be provided with each drum - there was only 1 mallet, it was stated that each drum would come with a hand written note - these were missing. The DESIGN FAULT is that there aren’t any drainage holes so when the drum fills with water it stops the sounds being produced!!!!

Well, I've been scammed with everyone else. I fell for Martha's music rain discs. Money was taken from my account weeks ago. I've tried contacting the co to see where my pkg was figuring it was coming from Vermont. I was provided a USPS # that turns out to be non existent and still says it is waiting to be picked up on the other end. Says I can check status by using Shop-something, but when I go to it, page is deleted. I've written numerous times, no answer. Filing papers against them.

An appalling experience.
I ordered a rain drum, which was unexpectedly tiny, and the first page of the instructions states 'avoid exposure to sun and rain'.
I have since seen reviews that suggest the company is planning to misuse card details sent to them, so I have cancelled my credit card.

Backroad Goods - Hedgehog house is a complete waste of money. Shipping took over 2 weeks as it does not come from some nice little farm in Devon, the advertising is very dodgy. It is useless for hedgehogs and does not provide any protection. Returns have to go abroad and they will just charge you for it, all this company wants is your money.

Pathetic excuse for a hedgehog house arrived, probably from china. Doing a deeper dive there's no old gentleman in Devon, it's an office at Heathrow. I could have done a better job. No written reply to my email and website closed. Total scam. Reported to bank, trading standards, and on FB

Product not as advertised. Definitely not a hand quilted bag mademin Tasmania. It is a cheap printed fabric from a Chinese company. Absolute ripoff.

Scam, "Reg's handmade hedgehog house" is shoddy cheap Chinese import, nothing like as described. Not one of the features described on the website exists in the product.

Avoid.

Well, I must have been having a bad day as I fell for the fake advert of Old Nell up North hand making rain drums.
What I actually got is a tiny out of tune item that is available on Amazon for 4.75!

I’m having the same problem at this moment. I thought I was ordering a nice hand crafted stained glass item, instead it’s just plastic and not at all what I was expecting. Also they placed an order for me and ordered too many. I want to return them and they are saying I need to pay shipping and handling. So frustrating. Stay away from this site is my best advice!

Scam. Don't buy anything from this site; it's all junk. I ordered four Cliffs Oak Lanterns that were supposed to be handcrafted, but they were all plastic junk from China.

Ordered a stained glass iron lamp. I would give them no stars if that was an option. I requested a refund. They said yes, if I ship the item to Hong Kong. The item had been shipped from Illinois. If I still wanted to keep the item I could get a 25% refund. Total fraudulent company. Part of this is I should know better. However, a company selling items if your items are crap, then I guess set up shop and try to sell crap. But totally lying and posting pictures of completely different things of what you send. In my eyes that should be shouted from the rooftops to all as a scam and fraud. Be safe and do not order from this website. They process your payment right away. But when it come to their 100% guarantee for refund. That is a lie too.

Definelty a scam. Product was mass produced and not hand made at all. CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD. This site has been flagged as potential credit card detail harvesting site. So maybe in 6 months they will use your credit card. They offers me 35% refund or pay postage to Hong Kong which is contrary to their website. I raised this transaction with my bank and they credited the money back and will pursue Backroads based on all the fraudulent details they presented to me pre and post sale.

Small, cheap, machine made... and the real JOKE... tge instructions say you can't pit them in the RAIN... SO SORRY I DIDN'T LOOK THEM UP FIRST.

Same as other reviews: cheap, mass-produced products dressed up with an inflated price (400% in my case) with false advertising of a handmade product. Furthermore, the returns policy is also falsely advertised. So far I have been offered a 50% refund and to pay postage, contrary to what is stated on the purchase site. I'll be seeking a resolution from the FCA and Ombudsman.
