Paula Rego House of Stories
I have to leave one star but would rather leave none. To plan a visit on my wife's birthday to the "Paula Rego House of Stories" and on arrival be told in an off hand English manner "its not open" but the book shop and the café are and that "there are lots of other museums" was unbelievable, no mention of the paintings not being on display on the website and no explanation as to why not from the English woman on reception. my wife is still disappointed. It remined me so much of the England I left behind. We travelled booked accommodation and looked forward for months to the visit. I guess if you state the paintings are not on display you will not get the visitors so less cash comes in. We left with a number of other disappointed other visitors, one of whom had travelled from Mexico.
