We ordered our wedding cake from BakeMyDay quite late, a month before the big day. From the moment we sent the first email enquiry, our experience was wonderful. Very quick responses, very helpful and kind service.
Our cake was a bit special/unusual request with space/galaxy theme frosting and we requested it to be fully vegan due to a big chunk of our guests being vegan. BakeMyDay fulfilled our vision perfectly and with beautiful artistry!

And let me tell you about the flavor. The cake was one of the best cakes either of us have ever tasted (and I especially am VERY picky about cake), and when it was served we were surrounded by guest after guest coming to rave about how delicious the cake was. People kept coming to talk about the cake and the crazy part is there was barely a single slice left over - and I have understood from the wedding industry it’s common to have to throw out a lot of cake. Not us! Almost everyone had seconds and we were asked at least a dozen times for the name of the company that made this cake. And have recommended it to friends since.

I know this review probably sounds too good to be true, but in all my honesty, the cake was THAT good. If we ever need a cake again we know where to go! Thank you BakeMyDay for the stellar experience!

Ordered our wedding cake from here. We were looking for something that wasn't very traditional and Ynja delivered a great thematic cake for us. I'm quite sure I'll order from her again some time :)

To run away from! The most horrible customer experience I ever had. They don't answer emails, they hire people who know nothing about the cakes and we are in a back and forth continuously. A hellish experience, plus the cakes themselves are nothing special (from the whole sample box, only one was palatable as they are too sweet - which by the way costs 250DKK, ridiculously expensive). So you are paying too many krones for the icing décor. I don't recommend. There are other places much better in Kbh

Terrible! The customer service is horrible!
I ordered a wedding cake from Bake my day, and the whole experience was really bad! The color of the cake that I got was not the same as I had ordered. But that is not the worst part. I had many emails correspondence with them including several pictures of the cake I had made an order of, and they confirmed that everything was ok. On the wedding day however, a totaly different cake showed up. We tried to call them several times to figure out that had happened, but they never picked up and did not even call back.
In addition, we delivered cake top decorations to the shop two days before the wedding that never showed up on the cake! The lady in the shop confirmed that everything was ok (again) and that they would make sure the cake top decorations would be delivered with the cake. This never happened. But the worst thing about all this, is the terrible customer service they gave afterwards! We went by the shop two days after the wedding to get our cake top decorations back and she did not know about it and spent over half an hour to find it. Later that day we got an long and offensive email where Ynja basically blames everything on us! Apparantly they had changed the color of the cake in the last invoice to dark grey (eventhough they confirmed it was going to be white several times). When I replied and asked why they changed the order in the last minute, she never replied. Also, she told me that I should have NOT stopped by the shop with the cake tops as the personal in the shop is only there to sell pastries and nothing more. Then I would at least expect the person in the shop to tell me this instead of saying that they would arrange the cake tops.
Im just shocked by the whole experience! Ynja never replied me back on the emails and on the phone.
Mistakes can happen, but at least I would expect some kind of apology or at least good customer service.
So if you want what you pay for - stay away from Bake my day!

Terrible cakes! :(

I wrote This in English so that everyone including the owners can understand the experience of ordering taste samples/ wedding cakes from This company.

We had to pay 250DKK for previous wedding cake scraps as a sample for our own wedding cake.

The cakes om the webpage looks great, but the taste test box that included all of the cakes.. that was some of the worst cakes I have ever tasted.

Everything was wrong.. the flavours was completely off.. the cream was sepperating, the cakes were dry and I Think it is crazy to charge 250DKK for taste samples.

Go to Lagkage Huset instead! They don’t charge for taste samples and they taste Munch better!

Amazing cupcakes and macaroons! Have been ordering from Bake my Day 2 years in a row and will definitely come back again!

The lack of precautions and defiance of OHS is disgusting.

Ordered my wifes 40th cake from Bake my Day and it was amazing.
I sent through a pic and Ynja actually made the cake better than the Pic :-)
Flavours were amazing and would defintely be back for the next time I need a cake!

Really bad customer experience and very unimpressive cake. It looks nice but the taste is not balanced and its just a lot of butter. My guests actually preferred Lagakagehusets pie next to it instead and we had to throw most of it out. Please stay away! They don't care if they make mistakes with your order and then they care even less about even when you try to get in contact with them to deal with it. They gave us the wrong cake and have not bothered to answer any of my emails.

If I could give them 10 stars I would.
They have become my bakery to go. I don't usually eat cake but when I do, they are the ones I go to.
They have made all birthday cakes for my children (and mine) and all of them are extremely beautiful and well executed. I really recommend the french chocolate with salty caramel filling.
The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I experience once that my order had not gotten throw, so they prioritized my order on the day and personally delivered it few hours later.
Their seasonal cupcakes and boxes are a great gift and again... extremely tasty.
I highly recommend them as a bakery!

Amazing hidden gem! This bakery has everythung you need. Delicious cakes, donuts, cupcakes, cinnamon buns. My favourite bakery in Copenhagen. Must try!!

Have been in BMD on a couple of occasions. Love their Icelandic cinnamon buns and the staff is friendly and helpful. Looking forward to visiting again 🧡

Great look, good taste, will order again and recommend. With some tweaks will reach 4+ stars.

On Tuesday evening I ordered "last minute Unicorn" cake for my daughter's birthday to be picked up on Saturday.
On Thursday morning I had guests calling and cancelling their arrivals since their flights were canceled (Thanks corona!) Tried to call to the shop without any luck.
Facebook conversation goes something like this:
Me: I need to cancel
BMD: You need to cancel at least 72h before pick-up (seriously on a last minute cake for 10 people that you can order like day before?!)
Me: I really need to cancel
BMD: No, we have started on decorations already (To my surprise - the uncancellable decorations were 2 ears, a horn and a little thing where they MISSPELLED my daughter's name!!! For an experienced baker those decorations took what - max an hour?!) We start on decorations 3 days before the cake needs to be picked up
Me: Of course, let me pay for those and cancel the cake.
BMD: we already plan the week on Mondays, (remember, I ordered in late Tuesday evening!!) plan for all the cakes we have, how much we need to bake and so on, then make decorations a few days beforehand, and bake on Thursdays/Fridays, and layered together latest Friday. It's a long process to make these cakes and we already spend time for each order from the beginning of the week, therefore the rules need to be this way, unfortunately.

I was like fine, I'll freeze it and they gave instructions on how to.

Once the cake arrived - it was pretty, sure! But the name was wrong and the decorations were just butter...
Chocolate sponge was nice and moist, but the ONE layer of cream you get inside it - I mean it - it wasn't cake cream, it was pink butter with hint of raspberries (just like we ordered, but on website it states that it's a cream...) Oh, and the "cream" they use to cover up the cake - guess what? Butter!

I did send a picture of my order how the name should be on the cake and what they wrote, but oh well.. Haven't heard a thing from them.

AMAZING! Best wedding cake ever! It was an attraction in it self, the taste heavenly and the bride and groom are still fascinated that they nailed it!

The cakes at Bake My Day look too good to be true! But you know what, they are extremely good! This is the place to buy the perfect cake for your special event. My favorite cake is the French chocolate cake with saltet caramel! It is simply delicious. I also love the Red velvet cake with the cream cheese frosting. I recommend to check their instagram for inspiration about cake-design, they do magic!

These unprofessional and rude people ruined my daughters 4th birthday party. 

On March 29th I placed an order on their website for a unicorn cake for 20 people. I wrote in that order that I was going to be picking up the cake on May 1st at 10:00 and then I made the mistake of writing to them that I would be needing it at 11:00 so hence I was picking it up at 10:00. On May 1st my sister goes to pick up the cake and she is told that they haven't made it. THEY HAVE NOT MADE OUR UNICORN CAKE.

Then they tell her that they can have it done in 20 minutes, then 30 minutes and finally they tell her they'll need one hour. Mind you that their last-minute cakes which are plain compared to the unicorn cake needs to be ordered the day before at the latest. Which I assume means that they were just going to throw something together for us. Something sub-par. I can't imagine them making a good unicorn cake for me in 20,30 or even 60 minutes when their plain cakes need to be ordered 24 hours in advance.  They try to pressure us to accept this sub-par unicorn cake and tell us that we can talk about compensation later. The staff at the store, one of whom is the CEO's cousin tells us we'll be compensated later, she can't make any decisions so we'll have to wait for the CEO to contact us. Alarm bells are going off and I know that if I'm not paying attention I will get scammed by these people. 

I end up calling the CEO and she flat out refuses any sort of compensation even though her staff at her shop promised us we would be compensated. The CEO tells me that she can deliver the cake at the time when I need it which is 11:00. Um, what? That was not the deal. These people did not care, they tried to scam us and when that didn't work they tried to make it seem like I was the one being uncooperative.

Very good service. Enjoyed them very much. Delicious cakes!!!
