I recently lost one of my diamond earrings which were of great sentimental value to me. I contacted my insurance company who wanted me to send my remaining one earring away but I wanted it sorted locally.
Took the remaining earring to Baldwins Jewellery who arranged a quote which my insurance company accepted. They made a new earring for me to match the clarity and carat of the other remaining earring and the result is perfect! They were extremely helpful throughout the process and I would most definitely recommend them.

My mother gave me a 5 stone diamond ring that was far too big a style for my hand. I gave James a scrap of paper with a doodle on it and he created a 4 stone ring exactly as I had imagined it. Sean adapted my existing pendant with the spare diamond. The craftsmanship is outstanding.

I inherited a gorgeous Georgian diamond and enamel ring, which unfortunately was too small.
Took to Baldwins and have been absolutely delighted with the amazing job they did, Despite it being an old gold (15ct), you can’t see any difference other than it was returned beautifully polished.

It is always a pleasure shopping at Baldwin Jewellery of Tavistock as this friendly shop sells some unique designs that you cannot easily find elsewhere. For a small store this family run business carries quite a punch made special by its founder John Baldwin and more recently carried on by his son James.
Baldwin Customer Care is quick and responsive as I found recently when I lost the Diamond Eternity Ring that my husband had bought for me at their shop and I needed a written evaluation for my Insurance Company. I received it within a couple of days and without charge. This level of confidence and trust in their after sales service is so important and especially where fine jeweller; jewellery repair and loss is concerned. It is a feature of this business that you cannot put a value on but it is very impressive.

My engagement and wedding rings were recently resized and given some much needed maintenance, and I am absolutely delighted with the result. Both as gorgeous as the day they were purchased. Service was exemplary.

Exceptional, both my wife and I couldn’t be happier with the service we were given. From the well presented front of house ladies (apologies I didn’t get your names) who made us feel at ease.
Then onto James who took my wife’s rather battered engagement ring and said that a repair would be possible.
I have to say here that we were told by another larger jeweller who had repaired the claws on the setting previously that it was now worth scrap value and to buy another.
James told us what would be involved and gave us an upfront and quote for the work to be done with a time line.
Work was carried out to an exceptional standard, beyond what we were hoping could be done.

Really wonderful experience at Baldwins on purchasing a surprise wedding ring for my husband. Everything was done in secret from the ring creation to the engraving inside. No task is too small for Baldwin's, my wife needed a new pin for the strap on her watch, and it was fitted with a huge amount of enthusiasm and the bill was miniscule.
