Reserving a car here means nothing

Genuinely one of the worst dealership experiences I’ve ever had. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

We paid £99 to reserve a CX-5 on Thursday and were clearly told it would be held for us. I explained I was having surgery and couldn’t return until Monday, and was reassured this wouldn’t be a problem.

We arrived earlier than intended, on Saturday, for my husband to take a test drive, while I was still recovering, and were left waiting an hour and a half. Eventually after speaking to Keith, he informed us the car had been on another test drive. We were confused because we had reserved the car so why would someone else be giving it a test drive. He then informed us that another person was interested in the car and wanted to buy it.

When my husband and father repeatedly asked Keith a simple, direct question — “Has the car been sold?” — he would not answer it. He deflected, shifted blame, and avoided giving a straight response. After my dad pressed him to just tell the truth, Keith abruptly jumped out of his seat saying he didn’t like the accusation. We were asking for clarity and expressing disappointment - nothing more.

Only when I went to the manager were we told plainly that the car was sold.

The entire interaction with Keith felt evasive, defensive, and deeply unprofessional. Watching someone refuse to take responsibility in real time was astonishing. Yes, we got our £100 back — but that doesn’t undo the wasted time, the stress, or the complete lack of integrity shown. Never mind the huge disappointment that we couldn’t buy the car we wanted.

If this is the standard of service here, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Horrible business

Please do not buy from this "business"

They sell faulty cars

They tell lies when purchasing

They provide the worst after care service imaginable. They will literally ignore all correspondence when you have a problem

Please go elsewhere as you will only be disappointed

Luckily for us we had partly paid using a credit card and were able to recover our funds using section 75. A lengthy process though

Great experience

My wife and I have been buying our cars here since 2015 as well as getting our services carried out. Keith has always taken the time to find the right car for us - good value but within budget. Thanks again to the team at Ballyrobert Mallusk for looking after us!

AVOID at ALL COSTS

AVOID at ALL COSTS - Terribly poor - Sold a brand new es demo car with only 10miles on the clock. However the driver scuff plate was not fitted properly, the rear boot scuff film was not fitted at all, the centre console panel was severely scuffed, the car was not valeted, the supra guard was not applied properly all over, both the driver and passenger doors had been sanded back to take out scratches but not buffed/polished back up and despite raising all these issues with the sales person Neil and with management NO RESPONSE. Now waiting for the motor ombudsman to assign a case worker to get this all dealt with and resolved. AVOID AT ALL COSTS THIS DEALERSHIP

Bought an Audi A3 from Ballyrobert…

Bought an Audi A3 from Ballyrobert Mazda and living in Scotland, I had dealings with both salesmen, Ricky and Jonny to do with my purchase. Both guys were wonderful with keeping me updated and ensuring that everything went to plan. They dealt with the part exchange with my Audi A1, and this was collected from my home the same day as my Audi A3 was delivered to my door. Had an excellent experience with purchasing my car, and wouldn’t hesitate in using again. Thank you again Ricky and Jonny!

Delivered my Lovely Mazda 6 MPS to…

Delivered my Lovely Mazda 6 MPS to Mallusk to have a manufacturers recall repair to avoid a potential petrol leak on 22nd Feb 2022.
Car was in totally perfect condition on delivery to them. On collecting the car the following day, obnoxious petrol fumes were filling the car. I opened the 4 doors to ventilate our the fumes, and when I tried to open the windows, only the drivers window would open from the drivers door, the other three would not open . On returning to the service reception desk, the receptionist brought out a mechanic who said that that they had only removed the rear seat to work on fuel pump and never touched the electrics. This is untrue, as the trip meter miles were wiped and the battery must be disconnected before working on anything like the fuel pump. The mechanic said “ How do I know that the windows were working before you brought it in” .
I said “ Because I am the customer and I am telling you that the car was perfect.” The management completely ignored me and the mechanic said the same quote 3 times before we left , advising that I would contact Mazda UK . My son reprogrammed the window lifts in 2 minutes when I returned home to BANGOR- he just googled- reprogrammed window lifts after battery disconnect. Disgraceful customer relations by reception staff and a mechanic who neither knew, cared or was interested in solving my window problems - that were totally of their making.
A very damaging experience and impression of Ballyrobert Mazda Mallusk.

Disappointing service, mistakes made.

What started as a relatively pleasant experience turned sour come collection day for my new car.

Usual test drive experience, the sales person was nice enough to deal with. I had organised to trade in my car as part exchange towards a new (non-mazda). I Changed insurance etc, and drove the 45 minutes to collect it a few days after paying the deposit etc.

I mentioned that in checking the vehicle reg online I noticed an issue with a previous MOT, and enquired whether it was sorted... only to find out, that on collection day, there was no MOT on my new car.

After a long wait in the show room, I was told by Andrew Kelly that I would have to wait until after the MOT was completed 48 hours later to take delivery of the car.

So I had to call my insurance while stranded at the dealership, add my original car onto my new policy so I could get home... to wait 2 days for my car to arrive.

While waiting for the call back from my insurance I realised that there were no car mats in the new car, something which we had mentioned on the test drive and was promised to us (and is actually mentioned in the wording of the original listing) which may sound small, but when you are spending over 22k on a car, you expect things to be perfect.

Deciding that this didn't feel right, I called to speak to Gregg Brown, the sales manager and cancel. While initially polite and apologising, once I insisted on a refund (and was refused compensation for the small insurance excess I had to pay for adding a second vehicle to my new policy) basically had the phone slammed down as soon as the refund had been completed.

Will not be taking my business here again.

Untrustworthy car dealership

Been dealing with ballyrobert for years and recently my sister in law brought her car for a mot check and service which said it would cost 700 pounds to fix for the mot pass! Which was totally untrue as she got a local mechanic to look at the car the car past the mot without the 700 pounds being charged by ballyrobert I trusted this company for years now I've lost all trust in this dealership as I recommend the dealership to my sister in law and work colleagues I'm not be using this dealership again and in the, process of handing my car back

Update
Rang ballyrobert management totally didn't want to do anything about it and trying to hand car back
Please avoid this dealership with all costs!!!!!!
As no doubt I will provide proof and documentation
Thank you
