Spent £400 tree did not arrive and having a nightmare trying to get a refund

Update .. now they are stating they have sent another tree, with a tracking number that is not recognised, and lies upon lies, please do no order from this company m, asking me to stay in touch ….. with a chat bot

Terrible experience! Never received a full refund am £15 short plus they charge plus £15 return fee so £30 down in total..rip off. Do not use this company. Scammers!

Incredible trees

It was so easy to pick the tree I wanted, the site is easy to navigate as is ordering. Delivery was quick and with no problems. You had better like snow if you buy this tree it was all over the place. A small price to pay for a beautiful Tree. Now I'm like a child waiting for christmas so I can put my tree up and decorate it with my Granddaughter.

Stop thinking about it and buy the tree !!! Carnt recommend balsam hill enough. Tree Arrived within 3 days. The packaging and the tree feel and look very premium. All sections slot into each other so easily and light up. Very realistic looking with a nice warm light glow. Stunning tree! Went for the pre lit 7ft woodland spruce. Comes with a large robust storage bag, fluffing gloves and spare bulbs. Extremley happy with the service , got a big discount too as a sale was on. Carnt wait for christmas!

I have to say I was really surprised on the delivery of my tree I ordered it on a Friday and it turned up Saturday morning so it’s still in the box at the moment will be unboxing it over the weekend

Firstly, the tree arrived on time, excellently packaged, professional couriered. The directions were clear -we put it together seamlessly.
So we have it stored in one of the wardrobes & will see how it fares during Christmas when we decorate. This is a first for us ( a fake xmas tree) so hopefully we’ll be content with the result this coming Christmas 🎄

I can confirm that I received £260.10 from Balsam Hill on 12 November 2025, together with a separate payment of £15.00 from Balsam Hill on the same date. This means that I received £275.10 in total.

However, my original order confirmation shows that I paid £290.09, meaning there is still a £14.99 difference.

I find it particularly disappointing that your response suggests that I should contact my bank to establish what happened, when I have already spent many hours contacting Balsam Hill's customer service trying to resolve this issue. My experience of customer service was extremely poor, including dealing with representatives whom I found rude and unhelpful.

Rather than investigating the discrepancy, your response appears to simply suggest that the problem is with my bank. I have now checked my bank statements and can confirm exactly what payments I received from Balsam Hill.

This has unfortunately reinforced my original experience: not only was I unable to obtain what I understood to be a full refund without spending a considerable amount of time trying to resolve the matter, but I am now being directed back to my bank rather than having Balsam Hill properly address the £14.99 difference.

I stand by my review. I would be happy to amend it if Balsam Hill explains the outstanding £14.99 and resolves the matter.

Item was received very quickly, well packed and in perfect condition. The tree is beautiful and of lovely quality although it will need to be treated carefully as due to its design it is quite delicate. I will probably add some wire fairy lights to make it sparkle.

Very quick delivery, I cannot say I have opened the box yet but come December I will be putting it up. Hopefully it is the correct tree 🤣

The tree arrived in perfect condition

Fast delivery. Although I have not put tree up yet I can tell it will look stunning as foliage looks so real. Love the addition of storage bags and gloves to protect hands when fluffing out the foliage. Overall very impressed.

Wonderful tree. Tested it out to make sure the lights worked etc and easy to assemble and works beautifully. Quick delivery. Glad I got it in the sale as definitely expensive if buying full price.
