Extremely disappointed with SEHBAC.

I contacted them because my front door lock was not working properly. I was told that locks were not covered under the 10-year warranty, but as a gesture of goodwill they agreed to replace the security lock.

The locksmith who attended fitted a cheap replacement lock that was nothing like the original high-security lock supplied with the door. After I complained, SEHBAC assured me the correct lock would be fitted, but months later this still has not happened.

Since the replacement lock was installed, the door has been jamming and there have been times when we have struggled to open our own front door. I have even had to leave access through the back of the property because I am worried about being locked out. A bolt from the top locking mechanism has also fallen out, and the door is now making strange noises when opening and closing.

The whole situation has been ongoing for around two months and has caused significant stress and inconvenience. I paid a lot of money for this door expecting quality and security, but the after-sales service has been extremely poor.

What has frustrated me most is being repeatedly promised that the original security lock would be reinstated, only for those promises not to be honoured.

I would not expect this level of service from a company selling premium doors and windows. Very disappointing experience.

Great Journey so far, the surveyor Andy was excellent over coming what we thought may be a major issue, with a great solution. We are hoping the rest of the project, especially the build goes as well.

Our really positive experience of SEH started with a visit to their showroom in Ipswich. From the friendly welcome we received to the professional advice we were offered, the experience was faultless. We were given time and space to consider the range of options we were shown. We were looking for replacement patio and kitchen/diner double glazed doors and finally decided upon what we wanted after hearing about the pro's and con's of the options available.
The survey was arranged quickly and within a few days a detailed survey was carried out by Martin, clearly a very experienced surveyor.
We were kept up to date with the progress of our order by email and specific dates were given for the build and the installation. Communication was good throughout. The first installation date we were offered was not convenient so after making a phone call to the installation department, a convenient alternative date was quickly arranged. The installers arrived within the timescale we were given. We must mention the great people who installed the doors. Affectionally known as the 'half Beatles', John and Paul set about the task of fitting the doors with enthusiasm. Inconvenience was kept to a minimum and the floors and the areas close to the doors were protected with dust sheets and similar covers. Care was taken to minimise any consequential damage and where necessary, very minor 'repairs' were done to a standard ready for decoration.
During installation, the installers noticed one of the hinges had a minor defect. He immediately ordered a replacement which we anticipate will be fitted within the next week.
When John and Paul left, the areas that that had worked in were clean and tidy.
We are very happy with the whole experience and the doors have exceeded our expectations in terms and quality and look. Well done to the SEH team. Our experience has been exceptional, sadly, a rare experience these days.

From the moment we entered the showroom to the surveyor coming everything was dealt with amazing.

I'm really grateful to SEHBAC and especially Daniel Horne, the engineer, for replacing the glass in our double glazing units. All the upstairs units were leaking and had condensation inside. Daniel was very pleasant and efficient and straightened up some crooked units. I've since cleaned the frames and the windows look better than new because some windows had broad internal Georgian style battens, the new ones are much slimmer and look very smart. Thanks SEHBAC.

This is the second time I have used SEH BAC as the service has been excellent both in sales and the fitters. I will definitely have them fit my other windows when funds permit.

We had Stuart from BAC Windows come to measure our windows, and he was absolutely brilliant. He was incredibly friendly, polite, and informative, and he took his time explaining everything clearly. We ended up choosing another provider for this project, but I genuinely appreciated his professionalism and the care he put into the visit. A really lovely gentleman.

We had a front door & side window replaced. The installer was very professional Tim I believe.

We had trouble opening the door due to a small handle. I called the office and Steve James , install manager came on and we discussed the issue. Steve came the next day, suggested an alternative door knob. The part was ordered, Steve returned replaced the handle. Door so easy to open now.
Steve was very professional and took ownership of the situation. Many thanks Steve a credit to your company. Well done.

Very happy with our windows. Mark and Nigel, our fitters were fantastic! Very knowledgeable and worked efficiently!

So ok, Had the privilege of speaking to the same great people again this year. Had SEHBAC in last year , great bunch of people. Fantastic product. So this year was a bit more of a challenge than changing like for like. Window wise 😳. Needed to extend a French door to double the size in width. Both John and Paul ( the fitter’s) came out and smashed it as you would expect. BUT and it is a big BUT it was the smallest of details that I noticed this time. Paul had a door frame leaning against the house. He only went and placed cardboard behind the frame to stop it damaging the wall 😳😳 !! That is so tiny even i would not have thought to do that. John is an absolute legend his craft and knowledge is quite impressive. Been an absolute pleasure dealing with this company. Mr John Barr i thank you for your knowledge and expertise on knowing how I wanted and then delivering it. Hats off to sir. Would I recommend to anyone to deal with SEHBAC 110% absolutely. Thank you SEABSC👍

The whole process from quoting to installation was a breeze. The installation team were prompt, tidy and polite. After a few years some of the panels were "blown" but promptly replaced with no quibble by equally professional installers. Brilliant 👏

The service was first class the men arrived on time they explained what they were g going to do they clean up each day before they left .
There was one window that was wrong but that is being put right next week wrong Glass was delivered.

Communication with Salesman/Designer was great, range of products and availability to customise was great. From installation onwards problems arose, installers weren't supplied with everything to complete the job in 1 visit and unfortunately caused some unexpected damage during install. Chase to remedy damage was unsatisfactory, had to argue over a replacement part costing £2/3 and then got no forewarning when someone came to drop it off. Reasonable cost for the quality of the product, and good finance options explained clearly to allow best choice to reduce cost to me.

Unfortunately the previous owners had the windows installed by these unprofessional charlatans. £500+ to transfer a warranty, as percentage of install cost??? £50-100 would be a reasonable admin fee for what is a paper exercise. Clearly they know their product is inferior, as the 10YR warranty is effectively made worthless and it's more cost effective to use local installers and repairers. Steer clear!
