While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. This technology is designed to identify and remove content that breaches our guidelines, including reviews that are not based on a genuine experience. We can’t say enough great things about Bradley Smith from Bandsintown for Artists. We had multiple old and duplicate artist accounts floating around Bandsintown, and Bradley took the time to trac... See more

Highly insecure website, only works without a VPN, shame, some bands I wanted to support by going to see them live even though I suffer with extreme social anxiety. But I'm not doing a financial trans... See more

App asks for all your life before you can actually book tickets. I just want to go to a concert, stop being so intrusive. Apps like that should be banned from events. I don't get who let them have mon... See more

PRIVACY CONCERN - Facebook Access Attempt

PRIVACY CONCERN
Tries to access your Facebook account without permission

On the band pages there are buttons and links to buy tickets to a particular show. Clicking to get tickets will open a new tab to another site. Before bandsintown.com sends you there, it attempts to access your Facebook account.
I got a warning from Facebook because my permissions are all turned off.

If you want to to see this:
1. Log into Facebook in another tab
2. Turn off "Apps and Websites" permission
3. In another tab go to any band page
4. Click a button to buy tickets to a show
5. You end up on a page in Facebook asking if you want to turn on "Apps, Websites and Games" so that the website can "request my facebook info" and interact with my facebook features.

This is bad. Stay away.

The problem isn't the destination website. It's bandsintown.com that's interacting with Facebook. I confirmed this by looking at the url sent to Facebook.

Do not trust for ticket alerts

Do not trust for ticket alerts. I saw a gig I wanted to attend, tickets not on sale yet and couldn’t see the date when they would go on sale.
I decided to sign up for notification when they go on sale.

The notification came through almost 2 hours after the tickets sold out, completely useless.

Use other means to find out when tickets go on sale!
