I have purchased many radios from Baofeng & always had good service.
Buying direct from Baofeng gives you a wide choice of accessories rather than just settling for a standard radio from other marketplace's.
Postage costs are very reasonable & when I have had to email them communication has always been great 👍
Many people slate these radios, just remember how much you are paying, they are not a £500 Yaesu or icom & deliver great value for money.

No sign of order & very unhelpful CS agents!

I ordered an item many weeks ago now, and have not received any updates other than a Royal Mail tracking number that just says the parcels awaiting dispatch.

I try reaching out to Baofengradio multiple times, and all I get is "pls wait 2 more days", "pls wait 2 days more" - firstly, very professional with the whole "pls", and "thx". Secondly, this is beyond a joke. 3 times they've asked me to wait 2 more days, and I've received nothing.

Will be filing a report with Trading Standards regarding their scammy behaviour, and charging back via my bank. AVOID!

Purchased two radios on 13th May and 15x days later they never arrived. Tracking information shows no dates and awaiting item. I have emailed Baofengradio.co.uk and they just keep saying wait 2 more days...
I have had to raise a dispute with the bank.

UPDATE: Still nothing arrived after 20 days and bank have refunded now as baofangradio.co.uk did not.

Update: Radios arrived on 4th June, far from smoothly. What do I do with them now? I have already received a refund from the bank. This has been a nightmare. You can not charge £9 for delivery and state 2-9days. This was 20+ days!!

This review is about the service received, not the product.

I ordered via the UK website. 10 days later, I had nothing from Baofeng, no order acknowledgement, no confirmation of shipping, no tracking details (covered in their shipping policy).

So I contacted them by email, confirming that I had checked our email server, including SPAM, and we had nothing from them. The response was immediate, asking me to confirm shipping details. I did this and again the reply was immediate, confirming my order number and advising me to check my email!

I replied again, pointing out that I had previously explained about the email server, and asking for confirmation of shipment, tracking etc.

I did not hear anything back. As it happens the package turned up later the same day.

So poor customer experience from the start, and missed opportunities to make it better.

Item arrived faulty, and they tried to charge me extra postage to send its replacement!

Order takes far too long to arrive. Customer service is fast to respond

Great radios, very powerful long range units.
Air band receiving is also very good, my son is very pleased with them.

Great quality equipment at a price that doesn't hurt. And a first class delivery service

Great communication, no issues whatsoever, ive ordered multiple times for various products, the wait time from China isnt even that long to wait either, usually dispatched same day, I highly recommend the Boafeng products, especially for beginners

Bought a pair of baofeng DM32's arrived in 9 days i think it was good packaging and great radios os software wasnt bad to get to grips with good transaction.

All what I know is that before I made my purchase I was hesitant and apprehensive of the brand and the online purchase and now afterwards I am most certainly going to be a return customer.

Baofeng UK were professionals and Baofeng China 🇨🇳 expertly package my product that humbled me for even doubting their excellence.

Moving forward all I will be returning for future business industrial and domestic.

worst kind of dropshipping. Ordered programming cable from what I thought was an English store. The goods are shipped from Hong Kong and now a month later they have not arrived. In addition, customer service is non-existent and their chat is never manned. So warning for Baofeng UK

Very disappointed with my experience ordering from Baofeng.

It has now been a month since I placed my order, and I still have not received the product. For the past two weeks, I have been emailing almost daily asking for a proper update. The only responses I’ve received are generic apologies saying “sorry for the inconvenience” — with no actual information about where my order is or when it will arrive.

There has been no accountability, and no meaningful communication. Repeated apologies without providing a solution or explanation are simply not acceptable customer service.

At this stage, I expect either a confirmed delivery date with full tracking details or a full refund. I hope Baofeng responds to this review with something more substantial than another generic apology.

Very frustrating experience.

Purchase not delivered, no communication from Baofengradio. do not use. terrible company.

Disgraceful company. Avoid at all costs. U.K. web address but based in Hong Kong China. Sent out faulty goods. Asking me to send £15 for them to send me a replacement. Then want me to return the faulty item at a cost to myself. So I’m stuck. I’m furious as now I’m left with a faulty radio that won’t turn on. One email a day contact with them so sorting anything is a waste of money. £40 wasted.

I have discovered you can buy this on Amazon to I suggest people use this covering themselves better if they get a faulty item.

I ordered a Baofengradio UV-5RIII radio labelled as a tri-band. It says: Frequency Range: 136-174/220-260Mhz/400-520MHz on the back and it even comes with a 220-260Mhz antenna. But there are only the (dual band) 136-174/400-520MHz frequencies available. The device does not allow you to manually select any of the 220-260Mhz frequencies. I wasted 6 hours connecting it with the UV-5RIII version of CHIRP software (which they recommended in order to change it) but that still doesn't support it! I've emailed them with the order number as they requested but they just sent me a link to buy another one! Grhhhhh.

I purchased some UV5R radios and I was blown away with the quality of them. I found that they could live up to their claim of long range and have achieved 15 miles hilltop to Hilltop with my family. I recommend them because they have other functions such as FM radio rechargeable removable batteries, program port ability support microphone or earphone and a LED light that helps when camping also it can quickly grab a broadcasting walkie-talkie nearby and this makes it easy to get onto PMR. I definitely recommend these to everybody who’s looking for something very very good that you would imagine cost much much more well done

Ordered a radio setup needed for weekend discovered they also ship from China so wouldn't arrive on time I emailed to cancel but was rudly emailed back it had been shipped and was to late to cancel ive contacted royal mail using the tracking details provided was informed after 2 days it was still with seller 4 days later no radio poor communication not happy its supposed to be on 48hr post errrrŕrrrrrrrr.
