The AI and schedule that changed daily to fit my needs was worth every penny. I tried scheduling on my own and it takes hours. The multi choice taken early on set me up for successs. I honed in on my weaknesses and shored up my strengths. Isaac did the planning. All I had to do was trust BARBRI and study. Also, the Professors on the lectures were therapeutic for me. They would talk and my mind was freed from reading to connect the dots. They were entertaining and I looked forward to listening to them. I trust the masters: you can’t know everything just do the best you can. That is was Professor Freer.

Intense studying led to passing with ease

I leveraged the Barbri materials to the fullest but still felt unprepared. I needed a more strategic overview, especially toward the end as the bar approached. I resorted to paying for additional bar prep services more directed at this strategic summary approach.

Got me across the finish line. Got me prepared with the lectures I needed and pretty good practice questions. Essays for Virginia were good, and appreciated the use of old essays, although I still used a supplemental course specific for Va essays. Mbe questions were good although they were different than the ones I got on test day (not sure why this was). Overall a good experience.

The format of the study materials was very helpful. I have no complaints at all and could not have passed without Barbri’s guidance. I did not use outside materials to study (such as Adaptibar); I only used Barbri and I passed the California bar on my first try. That being said, whether you utilize all Barbri has to offer is up to you and your dedication to passing on your first try.

The combination of essays and MBE practice was valuable. I followed the automated program designed for me and it worked.

Thanks to the Barbri bar prep system, I scored 155 on the MBE even though I did not take Evidence or Criminal Procedure in law school.

The prepared multiple choice questions that Barbri offered were nothing similar to the mc questions on the actual UBE.

Lectures and preparation material was pretty good, as was the MEE testing material. But the practice questions for MBE were too focused on exceptions and did not mirror the style and/or subject material of the test-day questions.

It was really solid foundation. Passed the bar with fying colors

BARBRI was instrumental in my passing the bar the first time around. Their program is proof that if you work hard and took the necessary time to study and practice, you’ll pass.

No Prepaid Return Shipping for Books

The lesson plan is good and the lecturers are generally helpful. The physical books are not included. They require a money down deposit that is reimbursed when the books are returned. Return shipping for the books is paid for by the customer, not by BARBRI. The lack of a prepaid return label makes it expensive and inconvenient to return the books. Seems like the shipping could have been built into the cost of the books.

Many students have their bar preparation materials covered by their employer. That is one reason bar preparation companies have guaranteed income (in addition to ordinary law school classes failing to prepare students for the bar exam). It would be much easier to get employers to justify the various costs of bar preparation if they were all included in one payment.

I solely used Barbri to prepare for the July 2023 bar exam. The best feature is the planner. I am not good at planning a study schedule, but Barbri prepared a daily schedule of lectures and routine practices. I loved the lecturers and the constant MBE drilling, as well as the solid essay model answers. If you just stick to Barbri’s daily schedule, you’ll pass.

I trusted BARBRI because attorneys who I really respected had taken BARBRI and passed. Their predictions were very accurate. BARBRI predicted I’d pass the first time and I did. My passing score was 1% above what they predicted. Their reliable teaching methods and encouragement made me confident I'd pass.

Lectures are great. Essay feedback OK. Should require more MBE questions. Students should be doing 50+ per day / 3000+ total. Barbri only requires about 1600.
