Barcelonaforrent.com is a scam.

- Condition of the deluxe apartment was completely different from their marketing.
- No effort made to fix the problems besides sending emails claiming otherwise.
- Personnel make threats on phone coversations to keep the deposit if our family complains about the flat.
- The agency kept their promise by rippin off our deposit.
- They are professional at what they do. Which is taking advance of uniformed tourists. Well, you have been now informed.

Avoid this company

We are very disappointed with the apartment we rented from the above company. We booked the apartment for 5 nights October 28- November 2, 2011. We were two families 4 adults and four 6-year old children. We arrived at 21:00 on Oct 28.
The apartment had a very good location but what a surprise when we entered the premises. The two sofa beds designated for our kids were literally broken and they had to sleep on the floor on a filthy sofa pads. The living room table was broken – had 3 legs holding only (pictures available). The coffee machine had no glass jar and the night lights in the living room were broken. The sofa mattresses and pillows were extremely dirty and filthy - I guess not washed for years. The bed linen were worn-out and with burn holes from cigarettes. Under the front door we found dead cockroaches. This is not the full list of problems we have experienced with this apartment. The management company representative promised us on numerous occasions to take care of the broken beds and to fix the other broken/missing things in the apartment, but to no avail. At the very end we concluded that this is a one-man company, because all our complaint emails, phone conversations and text messages always reached the very same person. It is a pity because the apartment had a very good location in the center of Barcelona. Forgot to mention that the security deposit for the apartment was charged, but not authorized/blocked on my credit card. This involved additional 5-6% fee in total to get the money back into my cc account.
