Great service and price
An excellent way to rent a vehicle and so much cheaper than the airport pickups. Just a quick phone call and then a short pickup ride to the depot. No fuss at all. Staff were friendly at both pick up and drop off was a cinch. The car we rented was basic but suited our needs for the 15 days we had it. We would definitely use Bargain Car Rentals again.

Collecting vehicle was great
Collecting vehicle was great, smooth, unfortunately was hard to understand staff member.
Got early call asking where their vehicle was, that it was due back a week ago, we still had it booked for another week.
Drop off was quick & easy. Taking their time to refund holding deposit, it's been 5 days & waiting.

The airport pickup was efficient. The customer service was first class. The vehicle was well presented . The price was very reasonable.
My advice to anyone booking through a third party…do not tee up insurance until you pick up the vehicle.

Third time renting from Bargain
Third time renting from Bargain. Would come back. There was an issue where concerns with someone else's rental got mistaken for mine, but the girl at the counter got it cleared up. She was excellent.

Plus booked corolla or equiv on expedia and was given a subcompact mg which was like driving a motor mower and unsafe on freeway let alone to travel any distance or yo up mt wellington
Wasted a day returning it and paid substantially for an appropriate vehicle for driving any distances or hills

We can see you're in discussion was our team regarding the fuel, so we won't discuss this in the review response.
We are sorry that the vehicle you received did not line up with your expectations. 3rd party booking sites will often show examples of the size of vehicle you'll be receiving, even if the example is not a vehicle in our fleet. This is why on our website, we only use size categories such as Compact Automatic.
And the run-around regarding the lost property is just poor communication, and we are addressing how this occured with our team.

Recommended. Although be careful as they shut relatively early with last shuttle 30 mins prior to closing so it's risky if you have an evening arrival. We only just made it after a delay in Melbourne. Short wait for shuttle to arrive, quick at the desk, car was fine considering the price. Efficient return and shuttled back easily.
