I booked a car with unlimited klms then found that Bargain cars without my authority debit my credit card for extra klms travelled. I am still seeking a refund without no satisfaction with this company. Would never book with them again

I’m really sorry to hear about the billing issue - we understand there was an error with the booking and it has been rectified during your interaction with our staff.

These can take a few days to get through everything due to bank movements but rest assured everything is on its way.

We were never told about the free250km & .30c per km over the 250km. The way we found out was when we noticed $47 taken from our account. We then received 2 emails after the car return. 1st one was invoice for the $47 then a minute later we received the 2nd for all the information on the car rental which stated the information on the 250 free km & additional km.

Hi Ricky,

We’re sorry your experience wasn’t what it should have been. Your feedback matters to us and is being shared with the right team. We aim to have this information readily available on the rental agreement at the time of signing, as well as on the receipts sent out after collection; however, evidently, we can always aim to be more transparent.

The staff member we dealt with was absolutely fantastic. He was very helpful and friendly, professional and prompt. The car was perfect, clean and ran like a dream. The cost was so reasonable especially for the size of the car we hired. Highly recommended Bargain car rentals Darwin city.

The car we rented was unrelaible

The car we rented was unrelaible. Over two weeks the car refused to start about six times. We had to turn the car off and try again. One time the car nearly ran out of power to start. The car also had a habit of winding down the windows when you locked it. We only noticed this when we returned to vehicle after eating out. I had cameras in the car and was only lucky no one noticed. The car also had the gear change lever where normally the indicators would be. This was dangerous as one time I passed a car and when I iintended to indicate to return to the left lane I put the car into neutal. This was the worst experience I have had with a rental

Hi Paul,

I'm very sorry to hear about the experience you had in the vehicle. When issues like this arise, it's crucially important to contact us as soon as you can, as when a vehicle is experiencing a fault, we would like to swap you into another one as soon as possible. This is to ensure your safety and pleasurable experience with the vehicles, but also so that we can get the vehicle fixed as soon as possible, so no one else has to experience the same thing.

Good car but slow service

The car was good and acceptable in most ways though was unwashed outside.
The book out process was very slow and annoying which was evident by other customers becoming impatient at the long delays.

Be very careful if you hire from this company.

I hired the vehicle for 1 day. When I picked the vehicle up I was not shown to the vehicle or taken through it by anyone. On inspecting the vehicle I saw a chip in the windscreen which was marked on their inspection report ( although not accurately) so I didn’t do anything about (first mistake). On returning the vehicle it was inspected by a staff member who brought the chip to my attention, I went through the inspection report with him and he agreed it was on it. 2 weeks later I was hit with a$456 bill to fix the chip. I certainly will not deal with this company again or recommend them to anyone.

After having to find us a car to give…

After having to find us a car to give us one we had booked, we asked to extend the lease by 3 days & drop it off at the airport instead of in town. This was done by paying an extra $30 for different drop off. We thought this was pretty steep but what annoyed us most was we said we would be dropping off late at night for very early morning flight. What we weren't told was their drop off was 2kms away & we had to get Uber, which was another cost as was after hours. We were not told that it wasn't at the airport itself & 2 senior ladies how safe is that (very unsettling & on ones birthday too). Need to be told where to drop off is essential

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review.

While we do aim to get all vehicles ready for the time booked sometimes there are factors out of our control that mean there are delays, apologies if you have had to wait longer than your collection time originally booked.

Any vehicle that is booked to be collected from a depot and returned to the same location will generally have bookings waiting for that vehicle to return, any time we have a vehicle collected from one depot and needing to be dropped at another we need to also move another vehicle from the site it is being dropped off to the site it has been collected from to have enough vehicles at all of our locations to fill the bookings that have been made. The relocation fee is necessary for us to be able to facilitate sending the vehicle to another location.

Our depot locations are listed on our website but as it sounds like you have made this change after booking and collection it is something that should have been made clearer to you so I do apologise for this not being more clearly communicated.

we hope to welcome you again in the future to provide you with a better experience.
