On their website it looks as though they have lots of excellent 5* reviews on here, Facebook and Google. Pricing seemed too good to be true but contacted them anyway over a week ago about cash bar hire for an event this August. They haven’t bothered replying back to my emails or to return my calls so we’ve gone elsewhere. Their website clearly states they will contact you straight back! They evidently don’t want our business.
Having since looked closer at their reviews from Trustpilot on their website, they are from 2017, nothing more recently! I have also looked at the reviews on their Facebook page but can’t see any at all! I couldn’t see any on Google either!
A company not to be trusted! If you need bar hire, do as we’ve done and avoid this company.

Booked for a hen party! The morning of the hen i received an email stating the bartender had injured his hand and would be unavailable to attend, nobody available to replace and conveniently the main office was closed (not that they ever answer the phone anyway)! Not even the courtesy of a phone call! Would not recommend!

Hired some bars from these guys - nice little bars and easy set up. Will use again!

We used Bar hire Company for a party in December and it was fantastic. James was great to deal with over the process and Tom organised it all perfect for us. Nothing too much too bother and our guests loved it. Would recommend as i know they have changed management since the previous reviews (i was worried too).

We were connected with Tarin through Barhire to support us with bartending needs for our wedding. She was personable on the phone and we were feeling good about it in the beginning. Unfortunately, this was jus a front. Tarin fist got our wedding date wrong and, when approached about correcting it, would not directly reply or answer any questions and seemingly avoiding our inquiries. She set deadlines for when she would be sending us the outline of our bill and next steps, but then never followed through. When approached about the struggles surrounding communication and lack of follow through, she encouraged us to look else where... 30 days before our wedding... Do yourself a solid, avoid working with Tarin at all cost. It's not worth the stress. I would give negative stars if I could.

I got in contact with James who was great with prompt responses until the full amount was paid. From this point communication was dismal.

I ordered a hedge bar which ended up being a box with artificial turf stapled on it. When I complained I was told that they reserve the right to supply similar bars. I was then asked to strip the turf and have a rustic look. Request for refund was declined.

This effectively ruined my wife's 40th.

I booked the BarHireCompany.com to supply a wedding bar in the summer of 2017. The booking process was smooth and the sales representative was very capable. When it came to the day of the event everything was in-place on time and the bar team that served our drinks were professional and attentive. They even lent our catering company glassware as they didn't have enough glasses with them for the welcome drinks. If I ever get married again (joke) I would use the team again. I booked with a lovely consultant who accommodated my group at the last minute. I was grateful. The mixologist was 1 hour late. The bar was delivered 30 mins late and the delivery man wanted to dump the bar, glasses and drinks at the reception area not where it was needed. He expected the client to carry the heavy bar up the stairs. The mixologist when he turned up seemed unaware of what to do and the drinks were not particularly nice. He took too long to mix drinks and could only make one type of drink. To compound matters, at the end the bar and other things were not collected by the company by 11.30pm despite my request to do so. I could not reach the events manager on the phone, nor could I reach the person I booked with. I found the whole experience awful. Never again.

We used BarHireCompay for the refreshments at a Proms at Freemasons' Hall Concert this year. Two performances with around 3,000 customers to be watered and served with drinks before the performances and at the interval. Before the event planning and site visits were undertaken on time and very professionally. Set up on the day was effective and service on the night very good. It was a very hot evening and the need to service the customers quickly efficiently and without complaint was difficult. Oliver and Lilie managed the team well. We would recommend them for this type of event in the future, well done.

However we are still waiting for the agreed proceeds from the event, 8 months later! These proceeds are for Charity!

Perhaps the company is not as robust as it purports?

I would like to warn anyone against using the BarHireCompany.com .

The initial contact was great, prompt replies on quotes and a tailored service promised. Sadly as soon as the deposit was paid, the owner stoped replying. Eventually less than a week before the event, Oliver Pugh replied that the deposit had been 'sitting with accounts' and the booking would now have to be supplied by a subsidiary company, and they could only offer the standard bar. Despite confirming that we would like to take the reduced service, we heard nothing - no one showed up to run a bar on the night. We ended up having to buy our own drinks and ask people to help themselves. Not the easy party preparation we were hoping, not to mention had paid for. We will be chasing to get the deposit returned, but given that the phone rings out and emails go unanswered, I imagine this will take escalating.

Further to the reply below I would like to point out that we spoke to you on the 22nd of June, and then sent the deposit on the 23rd, complete with the reference number you requested. The bank statement shows the money leaving the account, and it was a classed as a 'faster payment' which means it was in your bank and available within two hours. I personally sent you 19 e-mails and called you 23 times. None of which were responded to. The lady hosting the party also called you numerous times and emailed. Neither of us had any attempts at contact from yourself or this mythical 'other company'. I can assure you that if we had we would have been grateful for the call.

I'm glad you're happy to refund the money, however I guess it should come as no surprise to me that you've obviously not read your emails - as we've already requested the deposit be returned.

I hired this company at short notice when another company folded just before my wedding. They were brilliant. Professional and re assuring with a great friendly approach. On the day; 3rd June 2017, they just arrived, set up and it was like they had been there forever. They applied for the licence and took all the stress away. I am delighted to recommend BarHireCompany based on my experience booking them to run the bar at our wedding party in a marquee for 150 guests. The communication, from our first enquiry, throughout the build up to the event and on the day itself was excellent. The phone was always answered with a warm and helpful attitude, questions and enquiries were answered immediately and followed up with emails that assured us that our requests had been understood and put into action. On the day, the bar set up looked fantastic. The three staff were extremely friendly, organised and capable. The whole thing ran really smoothly. We had great feedback from our guests saying how well the bar was run and how great the staff were. A fantastic service from beginning to end.

Bar Hire Company were exactly what we needed for our ad hoc post-concert party. We are a small charity and they were incredibly generous and accommodating for our needs, and made the night so easy for us. Their staff were very friendly and coped well with a busier crowd than expected, and contributed to a great atmosphere on the evening. We will certainly be going back to them for our next party!

Great looking bars and quite robust. Highly recommend. Oliver was very easy to deal with and completely understood my needs. We loved them so much we have asked for bespoke bars to be hand made for us to use in future.

Bar looked great on the night and very professional, only slight hitch was ran out of prosecco!!
Some money got accidentally left on the bar and this was refunded into my bank which was great and a huge relief!

If you're looking for a mobile bar then this is the company just for you! I have used them on multiple occasions as I'm a London based event manager and can't fault the service I have received! The LED bars are fantastic, fridges are always nearly brand new, staff attentive and friendly, office quick to respond with the answer to hand! Totally 5*
