I initially received a pair of shoes advertised as new, but the condition on arrival was disappointing: visible creasing on the leather, a broken lace straight out of the box, and worn shoe bags.
However, Barker’s customer service handled the issue quickly and professionally. They acknowledged the problem and offered a fair resolution, which I appreciated.
The shoes themselves fit perfectly and the quality is what I expected once the initial issues were addressed.
Overall, a rocky start but a positive outcome thanks to their responsive support.

Refurbishment process
Using the refurbished process.
It’s £150 for a full rewelt and rebuild. The quality is good but it’s not quite the level of quality you’d expect for such a high cost.
The welt isn’t quite sealed and both heels have clear gaps in them. They are small things but when you’re paying above market value for something you expect the best quality.

Originally purchased two pairs of shoes.glasgow brogues and brown Portsmouth loafers.I thought they were well priced compared to comparable makers.arrived quickly .both pairs were lovley especially the loafers.unfortunately they were half size too big.after many attempts at getting someone to answer the phone,even at two of the London stores I decided to phone the office and they helped me.my advise us if you live near London or on of the other shop locations take the shoes to them and get an instant refund or like I did exchanged them for a different pair

Purchased the Seb in Walnut Calf
Purchased the Seb in Walnut Calf, already have a pair of McCleans and used the sizing from them and the Seb’s were spot on.
Absolute quality shoes as always and will be getting the Glencoe later in the year for the winter.

The refurb service is recommended if you want to prolong the life of your shoes. As good as some cobblers can be — and even that is a challenge in parts of the country now — there is simply no substitute for getting your shoes back on the original last from which they were made.

Excellent Chukka Boots
I bought a pair of Chukka boots in an unusual but appealing shade of light blue. They turned out excellent--sturdy, elegant, comfortable out of the box, and eminently wearable.
My sense is that Barker isn't as well known in America as some other top men's shoe brands. It should be.

The shoes were way too big for the size. They were meant to be. So when I returned them, it cost me 15 pounds at the Post Office, as they do not pay for the return. If I didn't like the shoe, then it probably wouldn't have been as bad. I certainly wouldn't recommend anybody to buy them as they don't fit. The size they meant to be, I would suggest going to a retailer first. To try a size of their shoe on before ordering.And hope for the best I would say.The shoes were of lovely quality.Hope this review helped somebody else

Good quality shoes
Good quality shoes, the size chart link didn’t work so I ordered the wrong size. When sent back they took very little time to send a replacement. Customer service was good.

Quality and style is what made me buy them, it’s now my third pair now with the SEB Line.
the only problem I have is the insoles are bit hard, lack of comfort as the feel hard to walk on and don’t take shape of you feet and feel a bit flat when walking in all day not like trainers insoles but suppose I can change out the insoles for a comfortable pair but should they be included already for the price but that’s my opinion
