Barrabes nació en el pueblo de Benasque, en los Pirineos.
En los años 90 decidimos abrir, en ese pequeño y aislado lugar, la tienda de montaña más grande de España, entre las más grandes de Europa.
Nos atrevimos porque apostamos por algo que, entonces, sonaba a magia: INTERNET: vimos una oportunidad única para quienes, como nosotros, vivían en las montañas.
Nuestra tienda online fue de las primeras de Europa en abrirse, en cualquier ámbito, y pronto fuimos una referencia en el comercio online.
A día de hoy, seguimos siendo líderes en el sector porque nunca hemos dejado de intentar mejorar y hacerlo lo mejor posible. Pero también porque nuestra incansable pasión por la montaña nos impulsa a que así sea.

AVOID- hide the fact they are not UK through discounts and then hit you with VAT bill
Hide the fact that there would be a huge import tax @c 25% of the cost of the items by saying items are discounted.
Will never use again- they will claim all this is on the website and it is but it’s not a discount it is clever sales tactics to hide the tax.

The way the UK handles import VAT post Brexit is a legal issue, not our policy, and we have to follow the legal procedures as you can understand. All of this is clearly stated on our site at checkout. In any case, we recommend you contact HMRC before making any future online purchases outside the UK to understand the laws regarding customs and imports.

Perfect fit
Toe and heel replacement pieces for my ski boots arrived in 10 days. Perfect fit and included new screws. Boots look like new again and will be safer as bindings locate as originally designed.

What a nightmare
Tryed to order a Northface coat using PayPal pay in three everything went ok until PayPal sent me back to the shop website to finish the order shop site kept crashing seemed like payment gone through with PayPal but could not finish the delivery part of the process with the shop, kept having to reboot the the shop website as it was crashing all the time finally managed to get back to the order to find delivery is not free and cost £15:96 for express delivery but the payment for the coat with PayPal was already completed had to go back into PayPal and send
£15:96 as a separate transaction the whole process took over an hour with all the messing about very stressful only to find 24 hours later the payment had been declined not due to to lack of funds so really unsure. Also no never received any confirmation email of order had to login and sign up to their website to find the order was in the process of been dispatched, but they sent an email to confirm order was cancelled whole thing was a headache. Have now ordered same coat from North Face themselves had to pay full price of £250,would have saved £50 with barrabes but much happier and so much easier ordering from North Face took 2 minutes confirmation email straight away UK company tracking well worth the £50. update turns out that there is a UK customs charge that is in the small print payable on delivery so I might not have even saved any money as don't know now how much that would have been, barrabes is a company based in Spain
