Horrendous lack of communication and somewhat arrogant.

Many years ago both our neighbours and I had garden rooms built behind are homes with glass roofs popular at the time. This was done by different companies/builders. Over the years we had experienced what many have done in that the rooms were too hot in summer and impossible to heat in winter so we both elected to have them replaced. Our neighbours went back to their original company who fitted a new style of roof and we very occasionally observed the work being done. Being reasonably satisfied with what we saw, we approached this same company and had a call with Craig who did visit us. Initial encounters were OK and we received the full sales pitch but like a lot of window and door sales people professing to be from "Family Owned" businesses you had the sense very much given that we should be honoured and lucky to be deemed worthy of his presence!
Following these initial discussions we received both a quote and then a suggestion for a complete replacement. Whilst we were happy to proceed and wanted to book a date to match my time on leave in the UK, communication seemed to just stall. Repeated emails and calls just seemed to go un answered for lengthy periods. Requests for further clarity were met with distain and the impression we were simply bothering them. He once failed to show for a visit to our home which we had to return home for, and when I called to find out why, he seemed to think I should have realised due to the weather he wasn’t going to attend?! Not even a courtesy call?
After 3 months of chasing and receiving extremely limited or no response, I asked to deal with someone else in the company. These requests were all answered by secretaries who clearly have higher standards of professionalism than the sales team but they never explained until today that this “Craig” was actually the owner. This made some sense particularly when it came to the arrogance noted.
So essentially, if you contact them and take onboard entirely what they want to sell you without questions around what you may prefer, and then can wait months for any question to be answered, then these may be for you. For anyone else, either be extremely cautious or seek advice and service from others. I will not be able to comment on the quality of work as they simply didn’t do anything! So very disappointing.
