Batelle’s program content and support…
Batelle’s program content and support from their team is what makes this different. After trying another method, I was skeptical this would work. But the focus on creating security and strengthening that for our son really worked amazingly! After 9 months of brutal sleep and bedtime routines, we are finally sleeping again!

Short answer: yes it works, my child is sleeping through the night.
Long answer: our baby was never a great sleeper, my husband and I were surviving off of 4,5 of sleep per night every night. She was always waking up, I would have to nurse back to sleep etc; but we were getting by.
Then 11 months hit, and the nightmare was on. She was waking up Every. Two. Hours. …screaming bloody murder. We tried CIO, rocking her, singing to her, the Ferber method, sometimes these things would work sometimes they wouldn’t. Often we would resort to car rides in the middle of the night just to get her to fall back asleep.
I was pretty skeptical of Batelle when first looking into it, thinking it was just a bunch of weird….nonsense….like their just gonna “take my money and run” kinda thing.
But that is not the case, you really do get what you pay for, especially with the 24/7 support for the 2 weeks (and they are FAST at responding)
They also teach a gentle method, which means bedtime is SO MUCH more enjoyable now than just letting my baby scream her head off till she falls asleep….and then waking up 45 minutes later.
She is now sleeping 9,10 hours straight! It is a dream come true! She is also a happier baby because she is well rested. I also waited a few nights to write this review to make sure my baby really was sleeping through the night and it wasn’t just a one time thing.
It is work what they teach you, and it does require patience (which is hard when you’re already sleep deprived) but if you can hang in there for the 2-3 weeks, It’s worth it.

We were exhausted and desperate
We were exhausted and desperate. Our 10 month old kept waking up every 2 hours and sometimes every hour. On a good night, he would wake up twice a night, but this would last for a few days only be disrupted by a developmental milestone or teething. He needed to feed to sleep and otherwise would cry. We had tried pick-up/put-down (epic fail) and modified Ferber with check-ins every 5 minutes lasted about 15 minutes. I found Batelle on a late-night google search, and it seemed too good to be true. I did my homework. Reviews were great, website looked good, accredited with the Better Business Bureau. We had an initial consultation, and I was cautiously optimistic, so we took the $1500 plunge. I tell you, this is worth it. It's 2 weeks later, and baby IS sleeping through the night! This isn't magic. You have to learn and work at it. There will be SOME tears, but you can always respond to your baby. They have a team of experts to help. In our case, we had multiple consultations about feeding because this was so closely tied to baby's sleep. He now eats much better during the day, and this helped our nights go better, too. The 24/7 chat is CRUCIAL. It was amazing to have an expert literally at your fingertips with an instant response when it was 3am and you weren't sure what to do. To say I'm impressed with this program is a huge understatement, and this is coming from a physician. I hope they publish their data so it can eventually replace cry-it-out entirely!

Our lives are profoundly different…
Our lives are profoundly different after two weeks with the help of Batelle.
My wife and I are both physicians and we have tried so many paths to help our 15 month old daughter sleep; nothing has worked. Until Batelle, we were waking every 30-90 minutes for evening nursing or calming. Our daughter would also wake most nights from 1-3am, crying, frantic and remain awake for up to two hours. We resorted to bed-sharing because that was the way we were able to maximize our sleep, which still amounted to only 4-5hrs per night.
Needless to say, we were desperate. I’ll also add that we’ve read several books, consulted with midwifes and lactation consultants on the subject of sleep. Never did I imagine sleep would be such a challenge, for so long. I wasn’t sure any program would work for her, I thought she would just have to grow out of her sleep problems.
Within the first few days of Batelle she was sleeping through the night, in her own room. By day 10, she was falling asleep without us in the room and sleeping 11 hours. After a month we transitioned her naps to her own room as well and she is now napping 2.5hrs daily.
Her sleep now remains uninterrupted. She is a different child, far more calm, with more sustained energy. She is so much happier now and is developing faster. We are immensely grateful for Batelle.
At no point in the program did we feel that we were ignoring her or being harsh. She was cared for at all times. This program is very gentle. Highly recommend!

The good and the bad
UPDATE: After a lot of broken communication and almost treats they did pay us back fully. They decided the option they had given us and that we had accepted was no longer but they came through.
I want to say I still use some aspects of batelle and I recommend giving it a try as every child and family is different and their method is soft and kind. Just didn't fully work for our family, but after about 2 months of us keeping the good habits our son sleeps alone. I do recommend but be prepared to have a fight if you need to be reimbursed.
After they replied to my review: so once I posted my review batelle send me a message and email, saying they experienced issues and they were going to refund us...again.
They have stopped answering following the email saying the would refund us for the 100th time. At this point we are looking at dealing with this at higher levels. This is rude.
Batelle had some great aspects. The idea behind everything you do is good. The ladder method is excellent and I will definitely keep it. Through this experience I was able to move my son from my room back to his own bed.
However, he keeps needing our close support which means we never made it to the last step and this well beyond the 2 weeks they say they can achieve. So we contacted them to be reimbursed which seems fair considering our son after 5 to 6 weeks of their help still doesn't fall asleep alone or sleep through the night.
They offered us to get half the price of the program reimbursed and keep access to the info and occasional help. To not fight and make everyone happy, and because like I said some of the info on the app is valuable I accepted.
Well now they have stopped answering us (for over 3 or 4 weeks now) and we still haven't seen the portion of the money they offered us back.
This is unacceptable as they didn't provide my family with what they promised.
Also, for families with more then 1 child it is not sibling friendly.

False advertisement
Their advertisement sounded great: cosleeping is fine, breastfeeding is ok, no cry it out method. However, after signing up and paying I was told I should start the program after weening my child off or the program wouldn’t be as effective. I was also told I should move my child to his own room because the program wouldn’t be as effective as co-sleeping. I tried the program and my son didn’t do well in his own room and cried nonstop so we couldn’t advance to the next steps. I was told ‘no cry it out’ but there were many days that consisted of it and they said a little crying would be necessary. I feel cheated and when I asked for my money back (since they gave a guarantee their program works or your money back) they said they would have to keep $500 of the $1500 because I didn’t finish the program. Make sure you read the fine print. The only reason they have 2 stars is because everyone was so nice.
Best investment I’ve ever made
Best investment I’ve ever made. Our one year old has always needed us during the night as he had so many sleep associations - rocking to sleep, feeding to sleep, being held, etc. when we tried “CIO” he would work himself up so much he would throw up. We needed a gentle approach. This is has hands down been the most gentle sleep training with very minimal tears. It’s gradual enough to let your child actually adapt to the new routine. I can lay my son down in his crib and he’s asleep in 5 minutes. Truly a miracle.

Life-changing for our whole family
Our younger son has been a challenging sleeper since birth. I was very opposed to doing any sort of cry it out sleep training. We were perpetually sleep deprived and constantly having to negotiate whose turn it was to wake up with the baby (now 2). He would wake up multiple times a night and be up for the day by 4am.
My partner sent me the info for Batelle after they hit a breaking point — another hour plus bedtime where they couldn’t leave the room until our son was fully asleep. We agreed Batelle would be worth the investment, especially because they promised we would not have to leave our son to cry alone in order to get results.
My only regret is not trying Batelle sooner. We saw an improvement within 2 weeks, and in about a month our son was sleeping from 8pm to 6/6:30 am, with minimal fuss at bedtime. Our timeline was maybe a bit longer than some because we were traveling toward the end of the sleep school program.
I could say so many great things about the program, but I’ll focus on a couple that stood out for us.
1) the 24hr chat option is incredible. It can be so lonely and tough to be up at 3am trying to think critically about how to get your kid back to sleep. Should you go in, pick them up, wait a minute, bring them in your bed…there are too many options and you’re just so tired. Having a kind expert available to tell us exactly what to do was so, so helpful.
2) it’s expensive, but you get a lot for your money. All their articles and video content, the chat support, 1:1 video calls as needed, supplies including a ring camera and sleep light…plus they extended the 24hr support for us well past 2 weeks since we were traveling at the end of the program and our son wasn’t quite where we wanted sleep wise. And we have access to the content and support for years to come.
The strategies have even helped us support our older son, who is generally an easy sleeper but has the occasional rough night.
Keep in mind the program will not turn your child into a robot who sleeps through the night no matter what. We still have off nights, sickness, travel etc and sometimes he wakes up at night or gets up too early. The difference is that’s now the exception, not the rule. And we have a plan for how to address issues and don’t have to go searching through the internet for ideas, or argue with each other. Priceless.

Amazing program!
I had been rocking our little one for months to sleep and didn’t know where to start to support her in independent sleep. I researched a few approaches but many of them called for crying for periods that I wasn’t quite ready for. Thank goodness for Batelle. We followed and trusted the process, managed through the 4 month regression and when my daughter turned 5 months she was able to put herself to sleep, slept through the night, and did all naps in the crib vs contact napping. I’m so incredibly thankful to the team at Batelle and to Kim who was our coach and was always available to talk through questions. I don’t know what we would have done without the program. If you’re considering it for your little one- please do! It’s such a comforting approach that allows you to support him/her as they neee it and meet them where they are. Thank you!!

Saved on the brink of disaster
My husband (75 years old) and I (68 ) have been raising our granddaughter from birth. She just turned one in late August. She was born on fentanyl. Until she was about ten months old, taking turns sleeping with her worked fairly well. Maybe because of teething, she eventually started waking and crying every 10-30 minutes throughout the night. We gave her up to six little bottles a night. Our ability to be kind and considerate to each other dwindled. It was pretty unbearable. I had read about the Batelle school and we finally signed up around mid August. I actually couldn’t imagine our baby falling asleep in her crib or staying there all night. The Batelle group was kind, non judgmental, extremely organized and professional. As a psychiatrist of many decades I was very impressed. While we dreaded the further stress that making changes would bring, it wasn’t so difficult after all. In 2-3 weeks our granddaughter was sleeping through the night in her crib in her bedroom by herself. She falls asleep within a few minutes. Sometimes she smiles at her grandpa for a second before falling asleep. We love our Batelle team so much!!! You truly saved us.

I was desperate but skeptical.
My toddler is 14 months old. And that’s how long it had been since I got more than 6 hours of broken sleep in a night. Bedtime was an hours long battle every night, she would wake up demanding milk (we breastfeed) 2-3 times a night, and would routinely wake up for the day by 5:30. Nothing I tried had worked and I was desperate. I found Batelle and was skeptical that it could work much less in the time frame promised. But with the money back guarantee I felt it worth the risk. Within a week she was fully night weaned. And ten days in she slept through the night for the first time in her life! Thanks to the method she no longer fights going to sleep and bedtimes have become a peaceful 15 minutes. Batelle gave me my sanity back and did it in such a way that my child and I have never been more bonded! If you’re even thinking about it, just do it. You won’t regret it.

Batelle is incredible!
Batelle has been an incredible resource for our family. We had a very challenging sleep journey with our 10 month old and Batelle partnered with us every step of the way, even when we were ready to give up. They offered compassion and support and helped us navigate through each hurdle with grace (and we had MANY!) We credit Batelle with improving our entire family dynamic, and are so grateful to the entire Batelle team for helping us find sleep! We’d highly recommend Batelle to all parents.

Batelle is absolutely life changing. We went from our child LITERALLY waking up every 20 minutes to sleeping through the night in under 20 days. I don’t know what we would have done without Batelle.

I found Batelle through recommendations…
I found Batelle through recommendations of other parents and so happy I did! I never wanted to sleep train but I liked how this was a no cry it out program (although there are tears) and I got to support my baby through these big changes. My 10 month old did not want to sleep in her own bed in her room and was nursing like a newborn. I didnt realize the bad sleep associations I had created and was one tired mama! Within 2 weeks my baby is in her bed in her room all night and is night weaned!! We are both getting more sleep and rested. I like that they give you information to read, can ask questions on the app and have night support when you are not sure what to do or just need the motivation to continue. It was worth every penny I spent and so much more. I am forever grateful to the Batelle team!!

10/10 recommend (as a skeptical person)
I was VERY skeptical but also very desperate because our son was up every hour at night from 4-6 months old. We were paired with our coach Kim who is amazing, responsive, knowledgeable and compassionate. The thing most important to us is we did not want to do cry it out in any way and Kim helped us work within our boundaries to get our son sleeping. He went from getting 6-8 hours of non consecutive sleep per night to 10-11 hours uninterrupted. She also helped us decide when to night wean. It’s worth every penny.

Such an amazing service
Sleep school was worth every penny! These people are truly angels. We’ve learned so much and they’ve been there through so many ups and downs (we just completed a 2nd round of sleep school). The 24/7 support is unmatched and these people are so kind. It’s unbelievable. What an amazing service. Thank you, Batelle. So much gratitude 💜

I had given up on sleep training my daughter, nothing worked. Then my wife found Batelle and through their slow transition methods my daughter is now going to bed on her own and sleeping through the night! 10/10 would highly recommend!

As a founding parent of the Batelle sleep school I am so beyond sad to see the direction this company has gone.
As a founding parent of the Batelle sleep school I am so beyond sad to see the direction this company has gone. What once was a one-on-one concierge sleep program is now seemingly an AI crap shot with zero direction and absolutely no real customer support. My son is 3 and I signed him up for the program when he was 11 months old. I contacted Miss Megan and wanted to work directly with her after reading her reviews and her methods online. But in order to work with her I had to sign up with Batelle, so I did. Nonetheless, I was so impressed with the one on one care I got with her. She was fantastic. Her process was tailored to our family's needs and she helped us get the much needed sleep we deserved. However, my son had an ailment and came in bed with me about a year ago (sometime after graduating the program) and I just have not had the bandwidth to do the work to get him back in his own bed again. When I reached out to Batelle for support (left 2 voicemails on their phone number on google and sent 2 emails to their support team) I received ZERO response. I went onto their app (which I never really wanted to use as it was not part of the program when I initially went through it, I was met with candid responses from what seemed like an AI bot. I was asked a novel of questions (WHAT BUSY MOM HAS TIME TO ANSWER VIA CHAT 50 QUESTIONS ABOUT HER CHILD). I requested a call and was told I HAD TO USE THE APP. Then I reached out on IG, not until I commented on one of their recent posts explaining my disappointment did I finally receive a reply from a person. I just finished speaking with their Operations Manager, Gigi, and requested a refund since the initial person who I sought to work with and paid to work with, is no longer with the company and since they clearly cannot hold true to their guarantee of ongoing support until age 6. I was told I could not have a refund even though I have an email from the initial onboarding stating I could have a refund if the program did not work and if I was unhappy at anytime. I am hearing from other parents that the program is no longer Miss Megans method, and its clear that the people running it are not properly trained. They are also claiming on their website to have the biggest team of sleep experts. This seriously sounds like false advertising and should be looked into. I am not interested in more negative experiences with this company. PARENTS BEWARE! Sleep and development are critical times for your child!
