As first time parents, we were looking for research-based guidance for creating a healthy sleep foundation from newborn stage on. Batelle provides personalized care plus sequential asynchronous lessons that build on each other and make sense. They really listen and help you with your individual goals. The method is always respectful and responsive to baby’s expressed needs. Our 3 month old trusts his sleep space and routine. He goes to sleep peacefully, eats once during the night, and wakes up smiling each morning. We 100% recommend Batelle.

SO grateful to have had Batelle help us through sleepless nights, tantrums, and the bedtime battles. We had a wonderful experience with Batelle and highly recommend them to anyone struggling with their infant/toddler’s sleep. Our son is 2.5 and he was waking up multiple times at night and either ended up in our bed or us in his. We tried so many different approaches but none of them worked until we took a chance and invested in Batelle Sleep School. Now, our son’s bedtime routine is smooth, predictable, and he’s sleeping through the night! If you’re contemplating signing up, do it! It’s the best investment.

No sleeper turned into a sleeper!
Long story very short... We've had a horrible sleeper since day 1. Most recently dad was sleeping on the floor, multiple wake ups every night, struggled to go down & couldn't remember the last time little man slept through the night.
Enter, Batelle. Now he's down like clockwork with a full night sleep....see you in the morning. This program was worth the money & worth the sanity we gained.
Thanks so much.

Finally - a science and art approach - Cannot recommend Batelle more highly!
Cannot recommend Batelle more highly!! We had a TON of sleep issues with our second and tried so many things before she was finally sleeping through the night. Everything else out there is one extreme or the other - cry it out and sleep train/Ferber or attachment parenting. It was great to FINALLY have something rooted in science and data, but that also took into account the needs of my baby and the emotional safety/connection I so deeply cared about creating for my baby. It is a fantastic program and I’d recommend it to anyone. All of the content is great but the ability to have personalized advice in the moment or even send in my baby’s cries was a game changer.

We joined the sleep school when our…
We joined the sleep school when our daughter was hitting hard on the 8/9 months sleep regression. Waking every hour for a month, separation anxiety, needed to be held to sleep. It was painful and we didn’t want start co sleeping so it was nights after nights of sleeping on the nursing chair. We didn’t want to do cry it out and Batelle seems to be the solution. I’d have to say it was a great experience. The staff are all very experienced. There are a lot of support, chat groups, one on one zoom meetings, real time guidance. In just one week our girl learned to sleep herself and slept through the night. We never thought this could happen but it did. Crying is inevitable but we were there to support our daughter and respond to her every cry, soothe her, hug her, it makes the process a lot more bearable than the CIO. The instructions from Batelle are clear and precise. We know exactly what we are doing and if not the 24/7 live chat support is just amazing. That alone is worth every penny. I highly recommend it for struggling and sleep deprived parents. This really saved our sanity.
Batelle Sleep School: The 2 weeks is real!
Attention all exhausted Moms and Dads! If you're at all like we were last month, up at 3am at your wits end hoping that Dr. Google can solve your child's sleep issues, sign up for the Batelle free initial consult straight away. if you need to read further...I'm here to tell you the 2 weeks is real! I'm writing this with a glass of wine in hand at 8:30 watching my son settle himself to sleep on our baby monitor. I can't believe I'm writing one of these reviews.
We tried everything before finding Batelle, nothing worked, and honestly things just got worse the more we tried. Our 2 year old son was a sleeping angel since birth, but then his sleep schedule suddenly just went completely bezerk during the last 4 months! He would wake up multiple times crying, needing milk, randomly demanding food, demanding that we go for a drive or a stroll outside in his stroller, or just wanting to play with his trains. He fully owned us! When he did finally fall asleep, he had to be touching one of us in order to fall asleep..of course in the most uncomfortable places like the cold living room carpet, on the couch or on top of one us, leading to a full on WWF beat down for the rest of the night.
We were skeptical when we read about Batelle but even more desperate, and just like you may be doing now, we went down a trustpilot, reddit review rabbit hole to see if this 2 week guarantee was legit! We figured we had nothing to lose so we signed up for Batelle's initial free consultation. Turns out, one of the main reasons our son was resisting sleep was because he didn't "feel safe" going to bed. It kind of made sense but I think the idea of another night of dread, pain and suffering without a solution moving forward was more a of a catalyst. To be honest, I was taking copious notes at the beginning of the program in case I needed to ask for a refund but it turns out they know their stuff!! Thanks to Batelle's straightforward methodology we finally got the good night's sleep we all needed.
Their approach combines attachment theory and modern baby technology like baby monitors, cameras, and sleep sound devices, and incorporates different coping strategies to address push-back and tantrums. But best of all, it's NOT a cry-it-out method and shows empathy towards your child's individual needs. I know it sounds easy but you won't get to sleep nirvana without doing some work. Days 5-8 requires a lot of discipline and work. You will need to study the material (no more than an hour a day, usually less) but nothing ridiculous and now looking back SOOOOO worth it. It's much less work then trying to lose 5 lbs or getting to the gym 5x’s a week! Literally by Day 13 our son knew when bed time was happening, jumps in to bed and takes our cues. He sleeps 11-12 hours and wakes up happy and well rested. There is a maintenance phase where you may have to go back a few steps but once your child realizes that you're not going back to his old ways...it sticks. It's not a militant process so you can customize some of the concepts to your child which we really thought was instrumental in creating smooth transitions for our son.
We really liked that it is a remote program. We weren't keen on hiring someone to come in to our home at night. With Batelle you have the option to allow the 24/7 sleep specialist to log into the ring camera they provide, but we never needed it, but I do know that some families really benefited on difficult night. Our son adapted quickly to the "Hatch-like" light and the special hug blanket (since he was out of the crib)they send, and now he gets right into bed without a fuss. Another great thing is that they have ongoing support (not 24-7) for an additional 5 years which is amazing if you are going through another sleep regression, or need help planning for a long trip across time zones, etc.
We highly highly recommend Batelle Sleep School if you want your sleep back! We still can't believe we are sleeping again!
PS: The mobile app is very user-friendly mobile app and their customer onboarding was incredibly smooth. Whoever is running ops there did a great job!

Sleep Success!
For the past 2 years our son has been waking up 5-7 times a night and needing someone to sleep with him in order to get back to sleep. I can honestly say after 3 weeks using this strategy, our whole sleep dynamic has changed. He is able to put himself back to sleep if he wakes up, does not need anyone in his bed and no longer uses milk at night as a soothing method. This has been worth EVERY penny!

Batelle saved my sanity…
I want to start out by saying that Batelle as actually helped me in a tremendous way. From the moment we contacted them, they have been assisting us in our goal of having my son sleep on his own through the night. The program they have in place is genius, and it’s certainly worth the money we spent on getting my son greysen to sleep on time and with a schedule on his own. The company honors its commitment, and treats its “ alumni” with respect and helpful tips all the way up until my son reaches six years old. I just recently chatted with them about replacing a sleep sack which has since started to tear slightly and they have been so helpful and always ask if things are going well. This company Batelle and it’s staff go above and beyond to assist their clientele.
My son is now 29 months old and was sleeping on his own for a year now and is getting anywhere near 11-12 hours per night straight through and 1.5 to 2 hours during the day for a nap. This experience with Batelle has been wonderful and if I can give them more stars I would.

This service has been a god send for my family. I was cosleeping with my 9 month old for 6 months, I was sleep deprived and being used as a breast feeding pacifier every hour EVERYrecommend. Som also could not self spothe at all. I needed to get some balance back in my sleep life. I finally grew desperate enough to pay for Batelle Sleep School. And let me tell you, the money was 100% WORTH IT! We followed the steps, played all the games, utilized all the tools and my son was sleeping throught the night and self soothing within the first week. I know every child is different but as long as you do all the activities and steps they give you, you cannot fail. 10 out of 10 reccomend.

Empty Promises Buyer Beware:
Empty Promises Buyer Beware:
Dear Parents,
I want to let you know that it is very unfortunate that we have not received personal contact with the batelle team in years! I wrote them this email about our V who is already 3 years old and explaining that many things have changed since we have started with Miss Megan at Batelle when it first opened. I shared that Miss Megan would lay out schedule changes according to progression of age and maturity. She kept regular open and personal communication through the app to check up on V and us. She would provide updates on the progression of soothing methods and nap changes. These are just a few examples of the support we initially experienced from her when she was there. Her personal touch made all the difference to help comfort our child and us in relation to sleep.
Now, V has outbursts of crying and waking up at night. Climbing out of the crib multiple times. We feel we do not have the same support as we started with Batelle. We have also found out through other Trust Pilot reviews that Miss Megan is no longer part of the Batelle Team. This is a total shock as Miss Megan was our guide throughout the whole process and I know the company was initially built on her method. With this news we do not feel the service is there in the same capacity any longer and is not living up to the standards and expectations of the program we paid $1500 for. Other families have said it feels like cry-it-out all over again. Something which we never will do. Noone has informed us of Miss Megan's leave and this is again a shock to us. Miss Megan was the reason why we called in the first place and put our trust throughout the whole process with our young one.
Given the circumstances, we asked for a refund in an email to the alumni team email. As we now feel we need to hire someone else to fill her shoes as the batelle organization has not been able to deliver on the guarantee of ongoing support through the 5th year and we refuse to do a cookie-cutter cry-it-out process. Due to the lack of developmentally appropriate ongoing support, we feel now more than ever we are back to where we started.
After emailing them this we thought they’d understand and be true to their word about a refund, but instead, they passed us around to multiple well meaning people and no one took responsibility! Polly wouldnt help. Katie wouldnt help. They kept telling me “its not their department” and would offer a link to someone else to book a meeting to ask for the refund but someone who isn’t even available much later from now. There was one opening but I had a meeting at work and could not miss it.
When I told them this, then they send a video that doesn’t even work. And then when they fixed the video, it was just a apology repeating they cant really do anything about it and they are sorry. No real solution. Just another let down. This is not okay. If you are in a regression and your child starts jumping out of bed 30+ times a night dont expect any support.
I am still waiting to hear from Emily about my refund as I was told by Polly that she “has made her aware of the nature of my complaint.” My complaint?! Anyway Its been more than a week. And they said “I have a lot of built-up anger” in the email response to me. Not very respectful to say when you have been up for hours patiently trying to help the child but not getting promised support. And I’m really not angry. More sad and worried more than anything. And I’m still struggling. The email said “batelle is fully committed”...then give my refund please, you have done enough as it is.

Brilliant
Thanks to Batelle our 7 month old went from bed sharing and needing to be fed back to sleep multiple times a night to self settling and sleeping in their own room all night. We are delighted with the experience, the team was hugely supportive through the process and we felt confident that no question was too small.

Transformative sleep coaching
With Batelle's warm, responsive coaching, I went from waking up every night every 2-3 hours to a crying 10 month old who had to be held and rocked back to sleep to sleeping straight through the night in three weeks! I feel like a new person.
The program provides useful data and structure, but also tailored the approach for my family. The team took account of sickness, travel, and our comfort level with crying, etc.
The encouragement and presence of the Batelle team whenever I needed them got me through moments where I otherwise would have given up or fallen apart. I felt seen, recognized, and understood.
Best of all my sweet kiddo is confident and happy in their own crib, able to put themselves to sleep, and we have improved our communication with each other through the process.

Sleeping for the first time in years!
We enrolled our daughters who are 3 and 16 months as we hadn't slept through the night since our 16 month old was born and we were alternating who would take bedtime and then trying to get work done while managing wakenings until midnight. My husband then would sleep in a chair in our toddlers room, and I was co-sleeping with our baby who was waking up every 2-3 hours to breast feed. When we would get up for work the entire house was up and it was chaos. We were so tired. The program is expensive, but they were the only non-cry it out method we could find and something had to change. We decided to commit to the program and we couldn't be more grateful we did. I wish we had done it sooner. They are worth every penny and more. We didn't end up using the ring camera or their light system since we already had our own Hatch, but the daily readings were so helpful and the outlined plan is clear. The most helpful part of the program is the 24 hour assistance via text. We were constantly using our support team for real time guidance. They answer your questions instantly any time day or night. There were probably 2-3 nights that were pretty challenging in terms of wakenings. We chose to stagger the programs by about 3 days which ended up being good timing.
We now are able to leave their rooms right at bedtime, and our daughters are sleeping through the night. If one does wake, we are able to settle them down within 5 min using just the monitor. Day 12 of the program I slept 9 hours... I haven't slept 9 hours in 3 years.
I can't be more grateful.
In terms of areas of improvement we have only a couple small things.
1. I would say that it would be nice if the audio from the app that needs to be played in the kids rooms could come from a different device-you really lose the function of your phone during the first 6-7 days after your kids go to bed. You can use an ipad.
2. It would also be great if the app was updated so that you could easily switch between accounts if you have 2 children in the program. It takes several steps to log back and forth. Thankfully our team was willing to answer questions about both girls in one app often which made our lives easier.
3. Lastly there are some real time calls for Q&A on certain topics I would have loved to join, but the hours are tough for working parents. Having night time calls would have been nice.
Overall I would say that the support team is amazing, and honestly even with minor thoughts on how they could improve, this program has changed our lives. We have the 5 min bedtimes, we have them sleeping through the night, and we can wake up and get ready in the morning before they wake up. We were able to do this without having them cry it out. We were able to support them through the process. I feel human again, and we struggled with sleep deprivation for years. I remember reading reviews before we decided to join the program and hoping it could be us, but doubting. Now I am so very grateful and also feeling confident given the ongoing support until the kids are 5.
Highly recommend.
Their detailed approach was very Thorough
Their detailed approach was very thorough and offered plenty of support to get us through the process. they are flexible and are willing to give you time if your child needs it to progress through the steps. what took hours to get our child to sleep can now take as little as 10 minutes!
Can't recommend enough!
We decided to use Batelle after our almost 2.5 year old was up for hours on end in the middle of the night screaming for months straight. We tried other programs and nothing we did worked. It took a lot of commitment, and our daughter tested us pretty hard throughout, but Batelle was there at every step talking us through what was happening with real-time support. She is now sleeping 11 hours through the night and is patiently waiting in her bed until she knows its time for the day to start. Would recommend Batelle 10/10 times.
"I sleep in my bed all night!"
We decided to take the plunge and try Batelle on the recommendation of a friend after nearly 3 years of sleep deprivation. The sleep training that worked for our first child was not working for our second. The natural step-by-step progression of the Batelle program built trust between my daughter and I and she slowly began to feel safer in her own bed. I also took advantage of the live zoom calls on a few of the days to build my own confidence and game plan before bedtime. Now every morning my daughter cheers, "I sleep in my bed all night! Mama is proud of me!"
When you're looking for a little guidance and find so much more!
We made a pact that if our son wasn't sleeping well through the night by 18 months, and after reading all the books and trying all the tricks, that we'd reach out for a professional helping hand. What we found in Batelle was everything we could have hoped for in a helping hand - we found a community of professional, experienced, compassionate, and consistent people who were dedicated to supporting us and our son through the journey to find sleep independence.
We hadn't slept through the night in over a year, and as hard as that was, we felt the worst about not being able to give our son what he needed to get those long, restorative, developmentally-essential long sleeps. We were almost there and we had such a great routine in place, our little guy just needed to hold his mum's hand to fall back to sleep during middle of the night wakings. It was small, but meaningful, and after months sleeping on the floor next to his crib to try and help him find a way to keep sleeping, we reached the end of what was an unsustainable road.
Batelle gave us tools to build a better structure of security and trust for our son to choose sleep. And he did! We travel, there are a lot of environmental factors living in a bit city, and there have been many ups and downs as he's taken big developmental leaps week to week, but we have resources and knowledge of a process built on science and compassion that we know works.
There is nothing more meaningful than feeling like you're not alone during some of the hardest moments of parenthood. At 3am when we were exhausted, our Batelle team were there with us in real time chatting through steps and solutions, or just giving strength and comfort; at 9am going to work after a long night, they were there to talk through ideas on calls and to champion the efforts of our little guy learning and growing through the process.
Batelle is everything we could have hoped for - we were just hoping and looking for a little guidance, but it was so much more than we could have expected. Sleep for littles can be really hard, but you don't have to work through it alone, and that's the difference worth everything.
I’m so grateful for Batelle
I am so happy I chose Batelle. My almost 17 months daughter is now sleeping thru the night in her crib. I gave birth at home and since the day I held her in my arm she almost never left by my side. We co slept and especially after one year old she became very heavy on night feeding ( to the point where she needed to nurse every hour) also every hour during the day and always fed to sleep. It was very very hard to break the habit.
We first looked into other sleep training and had a call and worked with “Sleep Sense” consultant for few days leaning about their method. From the first call I knew it wasn’t for us. It was so opposite from everything I believed in. The style was very masculine and even the consultant was disempowering me and shaming me. Made me feel like a bad mom. How my daughter should be sleeping thru the night at this age and what I’m doing was not healthy etc… plus their way was the only way the baby will sleep thru the night and make you feel like you have no power but follow and listen to this sleep coach. Cuz it’s not empowering education to the parents we just follow them on the days of “crying it out nights” happens. They won’t share too much before the day. (Their Online course was better but nothing special but make you think their way is the only way) it’s set up like they have the power and control over vulnerable sleep deprivation mom. At the end, I, of course didn’t do their cry it out method. My gut was telling me there must be a better way. But it stressed me out so much and we wasted so much money on them.
But I found Batelle soon after and from the first free consultation to the end of our journey. They didn’t not disappoint but kept exceeding my expectations. The material on the app was so educational and it just make sense. (I’m like this is what it supposed to be) I can’t believe the old cry it out method is still out there. Batelle method is super gentle approach and very effective. More feminine and nurturing for the baby! Reading the materials and watching the video the night before with my husband together was also very nice to reconnect with my husband.
The support was so amazing. Very empowering and supportive. They responded me anytime and right away even at 3,4am. I had so much emotional support. The journey did take 2-3 weeks but made everything so much easier and enjoyable. I highly recommend Batelle and I am so grateful.
I also feel very empowered as a mom to make the right decision for my daughter and know that I used my instinct every night for my daughter’s emotion, condition and also the sleep environment(some nights were cold and hot I was able to support my daughter as needed, never left her alone by ignoring til the morning)
This is where we are at after 3 weeks: my daughter is 16 months almost 17months. With Batelle we were able to naturally wean her from nursing every hour all day to now ONLY 3 times a day(morning, before nap and 30-40mins before bed time) She love her room and bed time routine. When she is sleepy she said night night and points to her room wanting to go to her room. She doesn’t mind going to her crib too. When I turn off the light and she lay down I stay close to her crib until she falls a sleep but usually takes 5-30mins max without crying she self sooth by singing, talking and playing laying down by herself and falls to sleep.
Then I leave her room and my husband and I sleep in the master bedroom with the camera. I hear her turn and toss but she sleep thru the night until 5am around this time she wakes up and calls me so I go into her room and I tap her back and body brush her body and she falls back to sleep until 7am then she wakes up happy and wanted to come out from the crib and want to nurse happy.
Weaning her to now only 3 times a day is already so huge for us. Now she enjoys the solid food a lot more too. Her sleeping until 5 am may sounds early but I am already so happy compare to being woken up every hour and her latching on me all night long. So I totally don’t mind waking up at 5am to check on her.
I notice the day she had full day out in the sun. She falls a sleep faster and sleep longer. Plus I can see that she TRUST me that I’m there even tho I’m not in her room and she feels safe in her own bed. Even though we don’t co-sleep anymore (many nights i miss her- I almost want to go to her room to sleep) but I know we are connected and have trust and in this way, I feel very at peace.
We are so grateful for Batelle team now and forever :):):)
Thank you!!
Lifechanging, honestly…
We went into this with the mindset that we’d be happy with any improvement, even slight, and with the assumption that it would probably take months for our daughter to fully improve. She ended up sleeping through the night by the fourth night of Sleep School and we can now put her in her crib awake, say goodnight & leave the room, and she puts herself to sleep. We would look at each other in disbelief each night that we were seeing such improvement. Not to mention we also weaned her off the pacifier at the same time! Such a wonderful and supportive experience. Looking forward to continued learning as we navigate new challenges soon like travel.
