Legit

Shortly after I placed my order I began to question BM's legitimacy because I'm so used to getting email notifications immediately after about shipping. I also couldn't find, but a couple reviews and mostly hearsay on Reddit. After nearly a month I called and was told it would be just a bit longer. Finally after 31 days since my purchase I got an email that my order would ship. I got my order 5 days later and went to a local precious metals store to have them verify. I got confirmation that my metals were authentic and was relieved. The experience was less than ideal but I give them a five star for great CS and for selling legit metals.

Awful 1st Experience.

I attempted my first-ever order with this company and agreed to pay for it with a wire transfer.

I initiated the wire transfer and my bank's fraud protection team blocked it, stating I'm the first-ever customer at the bank (a giant, well-known bank) to send a wire transfer to Battalion Metals.

The bank representative recommended I not proceed with the transaction.

I contacted Battalion Metals via email and there was no response.

Via text and no response.

I called their support number and reached someone who told me orders are not cancelable but that they would see about an exception.

They stated their would be a roughly $400 fee for canceling because the spot price of the metals had decreased in the days since I agree to place the order.

I expressed frustration because the whole situation was caused by their wire transfer process.

What I learned is that a wire transfer initiates the creation of a brand new account at Battalion Metals' bank, Wells Fargo.

The rep said "Don't worry. You can trust us."

I said "I've banked with my bank for decades and this is my first order with you. I'm going to trust their recommendation over yours, sorry."

I expressed that it didn't seem fair that I should have to pay a cancellation fee when it was Battalion Metals' wire transfer process that created the red flag with my bank.

I waited on hold for a long time for them to process the cancellation and they said they'll have to "Get permission" and that someone will call me eventually.

I will never do business with this company.

Awful customer service.
