It all started with a simple curiosity

It all started with a simple curiosity: I wanted to see how the system actually worked. Was this just a game cheat, or something much deeper? To test this, I prepared a 'sacrificial' PC—a machine with no personal data or accounts on it. The first shock came when I saw the prices. Just think about it: a game that a massive team spent years developing costs around $50 for a lifetime license, yet these cheat developers are charging $50 for just one month. These guys have built a parallel economy so massive that they’re making far more money than the actual game studios; it's a literal trade of unfair competition.

The moment I made the payment, Ethel from Battlelog’s famous support team appeared. She was so polite and professional that for a second, I didn't feel like I was on a cheat site—it felt like I was shopping at a high-end tech store. 'Don't worry, Optimus is working flawlessly, I’m here to put a smile on your face,' she said, and sent me the installation guide. That was the exact moment I began signing the death warrant for my computer with my own hands.

The guide demanded that I tear down every single defense shield of the PC. First, I entered the BIOS and broke the most fundamental security lock: 'Secure Boot.' Then, I handed over the processor's virtualization powers to them. With Ethel’s 'kind' guidance, I personally kicked the guards out of the building. Once everything was ready, I ran the cheat.

I expected a simple menu to pop up inside the game, but the reality was much darker. The software slithered into the deepest parts of the operating system, infecting the very heart of Windows like a virus. Within minutes, the screen froze and the computer locked itself. When I tried to log back in, I faced the ultimate horror: my own Windows password had been changed without my knowledge. The PC was no longer mine; it was under the total control of Battlelog and that 'polite' Ethel.

I was left with only one choice: the infamous 'Hard Format.' I had to retreat to the Troubleshooting menu and wipe the entire disk from the ground up. If that computer had contained my personal data, bank info, or private projects, they would all be up for auction in someone’s hands right now. What I bought for $50 wasn't a cheat; it was a ticket to hand over the keys of my digital life to a stranger. After this experience, I realized that the shiny, professional interface of these cheat sites is nothing more than a mask for the dark format screen waiting for you on the other side.
