BAUMAN MED ARE SUPERB PROFESSIONALS!
ABSOLUTELY, YES! CHOOSE DR BAUMAN!! After reading one negative review on Google, I was very apprehensive about Bauman, as I read one guy said that "the assistants do all of the work." But my experience proved this review inaccurate. The morning of my scheduled transplant (full frontal zone), I was entirely on the fence about canceling or not. My wife and I talked two more times with Dr Bauman's pre-op patient resource person (at 10pm the night before and 6 am the morning of the procedure). Here is how my entire experience went:
At my initial consultation with the confident Dr. Bauman who had all of the "right" answers, along with a bunch of high-tech equipment and medication he sells in his practice, it is hard to tell if he is all flash and not so much substance, or if he is as good as he says he is...
WELL, at 4 weeks post-procedure I can say I am extremely happy with my decision to go forward with my FUE hair transplant with Dr Bauman. I cannot express to you enough the consummate level of expertise and service that I received from him and his excellent team. From the time I became their patient, I felt cared for and attended to on a luxury-concierge level, including access to all of the staff's personal cell phone numbers. The facility is very clean and organized. Dr Bauman spent considerable time speaking with me and my wife about the entire process. I have concluded that he is an artist who approaches each patient differently. I had chosen NOT to cut my hair, so it was at least 3 inches long everywhere when I did my procedure. That is called the "VIP" approach, which is more difficult and therefore more time-consuming (2 full days).
Getting back to another person's comment about the medical assistants doing the work, I feel like that is disingenuous because Dr Bauman did as much as he could and as much as should be expected of him. He took every detail into consideration when shaping my hairline. His medical assistants are charged with dissecting the donor sites in the rear of my head and then implanting the hand-selected singles and multiples into the proper layout that was designed and dictated by Dr. Bauman in front of me throughout the morning. Another thing I liked, was his attention to detail with regards to the direction each of the donor plots should be laid for a more natural result.
After my procedure, every day for a week, it seems like they called to check on me and to answer any of my relentless questions. Dr Bauman himself also called me a few times to make sure I was taking the supportive meds and supplements with funny, charming names like "The Good Guys" and "The Recruiters". By the way... all medications, painkillers, washes, treatments, and visits are included with the procedure so there are not any surprises (other than the gargantuan procedure price itself, which is worth every penny if you can afford it).
The first two days I had no pain. The subsequent few days I had pain at the donor sites (never the front). After one week I went back to get my scalp washed. I could clearly see each and every implant, around 2200 of them packed in tightly. I was confidently and comfortably wearing a baseball cap by the middle of week 2 (ten days after the procedure). Now, as I write this review, it has been 4 weeks. I no longer need a baseball hat since a few days and nobody can tell I did anything. At least half of the transplanted hairs have released from their newly planted follicles (as is expected) and the remaining ones are so short and fine that they are not really visible. My scalp is slightly pink still in the implant zone, leaving a distinguishable line around my forehead, which is very easily covered with some coverup liquid makeup blotted just along the edge of the zone to fade out the pink area (thanks to my wife). I have had dinners with friends and lunches with family this week and nobody noticed a thing!
Over the next twelve months, my new hair sprouts will be coming up in place of the old fall-outs. If you do not see any further updates from me here by 2025, the Bauman Medical team did a superb job!
