Bay Backner was commissioned at very short notice to provide a painted gift for a retiring cathedral organist - a view of his house next door to the cathedral, in dappled sunshine. She produced an absolutely outstanding piece within just a few days, inspired by a single photo. The resulting picture captured the spirit of the place beautifully and has been hailed a great success by everyone who has seen it. It is likely to be on the wall in the organist's new home for many years to come! Thank you very much!

Bay produced two wonderful portraits of our daughter that perfectly captured not just her features, but her character as well - all from a handful of photographs! Anyone commissioning a portrait will not be disappointed, this is something we will keep forever. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
