Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield is no good

I signed up for anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield medical insurance through my temp agency and I have found they are an abject and complete failure. My insurance cards failed to provide any information that would allow me to contact them directly. I tried over a dozen times and couldn’t even get anyone on the phone. Also tried connecting online and as it turns out, there is no way for someone in Texas to reach anyone. I’m going to cancel this insurance on top of the fact they’re charging a $300 deductible BEFORE I can see a doctor. turns out this insurance company has one of the poorest customer service ratings online listed. Do not sign up for this Insurance. It’s a waste of your money your time and you’ll be denied service.

First of all the website is confusing…

First of all the website is confusing when you’re looking for a doctor that they cover, and when you talk to customer service I don’t trust that they are telling you the truth. My plan only covers freestanding services. My husband had a colonoscopy at the hospital because that’s the only place available and the doctor scheduled the appointment, they pre authorized it then refused the authorization. So his bill was $12,000.00. And they would not cover anything. I pay a large premium for this a month. People can’t afford to pay these kind of bills. I had blood test at hospital because the clinic could do them. My bill was $1500.00. They wouldn’t cover anything

HELP,PLEASE! We have already one review thinking we…

We have already written one review thinking we could see the light at the end of the tunnel but now Medicare and Blue Cross once again are not communicating, for some reason we made annuity payments from 2003 to 12-31-2024 but some how they say we had not prescription from 2022 to 2023. We are being charged a penalty now because of negligence. More forms being sent in to prove of the lack of communication between Blue Cross, Medicare, and now our new insurance. Why after almost 3 months am I still on the phone with OPM, Medicare, and Blue Cross at least 3-4 hours every time I call. And now I’m wasting more time filling out reviews. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed speaking and listening…

I really enjoyed speaking and listening to my representative she was very helpful,kind,and respectful in explaining the policy to me . She was very knowledgeable about what the policy would be able to do for me compared to the policy I was in. She answered all the questions I had about it the policy, I was very pleased to of gotten her, her name is Michelle Archangle and she was so nice to talk to her and I told her that I had never heard her last name before, she was such a pleasant person to talk with and as she transferred me to talk with another person she made sure that everything went well and made sure if I had any questions whatsoever to just call her back she gave me all the information I needed and I thanked her for it and when I talked to ERICK HE ALSO kept me well informed about the wellness program and he said he would be able to help set up my appointments and he also gave me his information and also let me know if I ever had any questions about anything to just call him back at anytime. I’m very grateful for the two representatives that I had the pleasure to talk to today , I had never had any questions about experience with a company as I did today I’m so happy I called. I was truly blessed thank you so much.

Snakes

If a prescription costs more than a couple of hundred dollars, Blue Cross denies coverage and then denies the appeal sent by my doctor. This has happened multiple times. It is almost comical how they simply refuse to pay for expensive medications.

This is a fraud company

This is a fraud company. They process your claim incorrectly and leave you on your own and would not process it again even if you prove that they are wrong. They charge me incorrectly several times and I am literally frustrated with this company. I request you all please don’t buy insurance from them.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Fed Employee…Fraudulently trying to penalize seniors!

Blue Cross Blue Shield Fed Employee Program Drug Coverage. Shame on all of you! Throwing us onto a new federal drug program, sending convoluted information in the mail, and threatening to penalize us $ if we don't show evidence of coverage (we're already paying $1000/month health ins). YOU covered us for the last 15 years. What evidence do YOU need? Where do we get evidence? Do we need a lawyer? We are senior citizens. For God's sake, help us. We call, we get disconnected. We call again, they tell us to ignore all mailings. Then we receive more letters, more threats. We call again, BCBS is shut down for a meeting. What decent business does that? HELP!

Fully automated phone menu

Fully automated phone menu. No chat support. No way to reach a human. Misleading recordings that imply they might connect you to someone, followed by the system saying to go to the web site, then disconnecting. This is a new low in cynical, passive-aggressive attitude towards customers.

Blue Cross Blue shield is not as great as everyone thinks

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that their rating is so low. I now have Medicaid and Blue Cross Blue shield of Oklahoma is refusing to refund the premium that they charged me, which was over $700. I have incurred overdraft fees for other charges that came through while I've been fighting with Blue Cross Blue shield. I was told I needed proof that I have other insurance before they'll cancel it. I took a photograph of the front and the back of my Medicaid card. But now they're not answering the phone. Their hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central standard Time. It is currently 8:04.

BCBS Global - Horrible Int'l Claim Process

This is just the common nightmare experience you'll get with your health insurance. We pay nearly $1,700.00/monthly for health insurance premiums! We are having huge troubles and wondering IF we'll even get reimbursed for a Mexican health care urgent care visit, my wife had to have for a skin abscess infection. We've supplied them with everything possible to support this claim!! It's always a major fight and hassle. What's wrong with the United States of America health care INSURANCE industry LEGAL scammers?! So damned aggravating. Profit, profit and more profits. Screw the insured, right? We're so screwed in the USA.

They won't give you credit for payments even with proof

They are horrible. Their representatives are not trained and do not speak English; they don't know the difference between a dentist or doctor to help a question. They do not honor a request for another supervisor or representative and keep playing the clueless game.They also do not provide service. Due to a representative messing up, I have to call in to make my payments EVERY time I see the doctor. For example: I went to physical therapy today and had to pay my same monthly premium for the third time (I even gave them the receipt number and they still couldn't understand I paid it.) I don't have hundreds of dollars to toss around. If you are financially able to sue them for fraud, you'd help a lot of others. If you have a choice in another insurance you'd be wise to take it.

How dare this company pursue charges…

How dare this company pursue charges against Briana Boston? First, you deny her claim, then you press charges against this law-abiding wife and mother for noting that your company's heartless behavior is what resulted in an attack against a insurance CEO that the majority of Americans understand as being the result of the cruelty and greed of companies just like yours. Have you no self-awareness? You should be ashamed! Drop the charges and pay your customers who you owe them on claims. You may think you're suppressing dissent by allowing police and the judicial system to treat this woman so harshly, but in fact you're only further fanning the flames. Do what's right for once.

Drop the charges on Briana Boston

Briana Boston said words that many people were saying as it was trending with no obvious means to follow through with that threat. She was angry (rightfully so) because dealing with insurance companies is the worst. You should drop the charges on this poor woman and try to have some integrity. I know that’s a big ask.

Free speech is an American right even if it makes you uncomfortable. To deny her the medical coverage she pays for and then police her outrage is nothing short of criminal. Justice for Brianna Boston, someone who has the American right to not rot in a jail for a thought crime.
