The Old Bait and Switch

These clowns had a property listed in airbnb in Killington, Vermont in late(ish) October. I put in the dates and the number of people who would be staying at the property, the web page returned a price of $1030 for five nights, which I found reasonable, so authorized payment through paypal.

They responded that "well wait, that price is for a 'long-term' rental", which in my mind is more than a weekend.

Apparently, they have the ability to change the rates and for some reason they had not. But they certainly figured it out AFTER they told me that the nightly rate was $400 PER NIGHT, and I could have the place for that, or not have it at all.

I complained to airbnb, but they said it was the host's decision (and responsibility to update their prices).
