Playing Field Levelled - Confidence Boosted!

I absolutely loved this way of applying for a job. It is such a huge confidence boost to know that one is being evaluated solely on the ability to DO a job, as opposed to age, race, where you went to school etc. Would highly recommend this to any potential employer.

I just applied for a role

I just applied for a role. I don't know if I'll get even an interview but the I did appreciate the process of answering questions. I think it's a good way of applying. It means you have to be serious about the role and you get to understand a little more about it before you even get to interview.

I just hope that they have a system for weeding out AI responses as I am sure a lot of people will revert to it.

Thank you for the opportunity to complete this task. I appreciated that the exercise reflects real publishing work and allows candidates to demonstrate both linguistic accuracy and marketing sensitivity.

The instructions were clear and transparent, and I found it helpful that the assessment criteria (style, grammar, and spelling) were explicitly stated. This made it easier to understand what was expected and to focus on producing polished, publication-ready text.

Sharing anonymised feedback with Usborne Publishing Limited also seems fair and constructive, as it promotes transparency while protecting candidates from bias in the hiring process.

Overall, the task felt practical, relevant, and professionally designed.
