Dishonest company not based in uk

Dishonest company not based in uk as website makes you believe, bought double duvet set payed over £50 and it is to small to be double and to large to be single.
Returns policy is a joke were it will cost about £30 to send back and they take money off for admin fee.
So please bear in mind these things before ordering anything from them

Totally dishonest bedding company

Bed Linen Online: I would give this company MINUS five stars if I could. I saw some 'black silk' sheets reduced from almost £100 to £59 on their site.(bedlinenshop.co.uk they were described as 'silk satin' and in the item description it said "You will love thIs 'PREMIER SILK' bedset" (my caps), Being a little wary I emailed them asking of the sheets were real silk or artificial silk. Back came an email from their customer service stating "All our silk bedding is 100% real silk" Reassured I ordered the bedset. When it came I was horrified. The items were badly sewn with white thread (on black 'silk'!!) and it didn't FEEL like real silk to me. Plus bedding that looks exactly like this which is 100% polyester artificial silk is sold on eBay for between just £20 & £25. I felt cheated. I searched inside the pillows and on the sheet for the fabric/washing instructions to see what it said the material was, but there were none which is in itself suspicious as even dirt-cheap bedding has 'fabrics/washing instructions' labels sewn in, So I was not happy. I wanted a full refund
Guess what? To get a full £59 refund I would have to return them and it costs £25 postage to Thailand. AND say they will deduct £39 from ANY returned bedding sets refund to cover the cost of their packing the order and shipping it out in the first place (although delivery was 'free'). So it would cost £65 to get £59 back. Although their website has a .co.uk address and they show a Union Jack beside it stating beneath 'free delivery across the UK' you get this £39 deducted from your refund. I believe these are the SAME bedsets as those artificial silk ones (made from polyester) sold on eBay for only £20 to £25 odd - read on for the proof I have now found that they are NOT silk) and I would have NOTHING to show for it. I emailed a complaint about this but they did not reply. Also they say you cannot have a refund if you do not return the goods in the original packaging. This is a JOKE! Mine arrived wrapped it tatty bits of obviously pre-used cardboard inside some cheap grey polythene with the excuse on a little slip, enclosed, that they had used 'recycled ' packaging to help the environment ho ho ho! The goods were so tightly squashed that that I had to prise a finger inside to be able to rip it open, there was no other way to get the items out unless you cut it. Consequently I threw the damaged remains of this cheap packaging in the bin as it was not reusable. So now they say I can't return goods (which I am legally entitled to do because they are "not as described') because I can't return them in the rubbish packaging they sent it out in. Check out their unrealistic and totally unreasonable 'Returns Policy' on their website) That cannot be right. Now I have actually found a label sewn into the duvet cover (they must have missed this one when they carefully removed the others) it says "100% POLYESTER. Sold to me as 100% real SILK. Oh, and although they have a UK address you have to return the items to Bangkok in Thailand. I send a recorded delivery letter to their UK address in Birmingham and it was not delivered because they refused to sign for it. I am going to seek legal help with this because they are contravening the Trades Descriptions Act of this country. Update: I paid via Paypal and they have looked into this this for me and have helped with postal charges to return the goods to Thailand. They and say not to worry as I will get a FULL refund through them with NO deductions (good old Paypal!) but I won't be happy until I actually get it back in my bank account. So if you don't want to be cheated and get a whole lot of hassle trying to get a refund - BEWARE I want to warn others not to fall prey to with this totally dishonest company and I will be exposing them and others like them in the new year on social media.
