Better bedroom type descriptions

It would be helpful to have photos of the bedrooms and also to explain what as "double Standard", etc is. Is it 2 double beds, 2 single beds, what do you mean? We do not use "standard" in the US as a descriptor. Thanks.

Terrible Customer Service

For our 40th anniversary trip, my wife and I booked a hotel in Prague with our travel agent who uses Bedsonline they recommended the Alfonse Hotel. We had a terrible experience. The description we received was totally misrepresented. The accommodation was not at all what we were told it would be. The staff were terribly abrupt and rude. The room we were given was tiny and on the top floor with only a small pop up window on the ceiling. In addition, the elevator did not go to the top floor, instead it stopped one floor below our floor and we had to climb 12 steep steps with our luggage to get to the top floor. I asked for assistance as I had recently had a knee operation, however I was told there was no help available. The rude front desk person told us the hotel was totally booked and there wasn't another room available. We called our travel agent and he acknowledged there was a problem when I had him speak to the front desk person. He suggested we book another, more appropriate accommodation which he assisted us in booking, he said he would deal with the problem with the Alfonse Hotel with Bedsonline by filing a report. Our report was very detailed and we provided names, details and photos. The new accommodation took a couple of hours to find, we wasted almost a day dealing with this very unfortunate incident. The hotel we booked was $600 more dollars for 4 nights than what we paid for the Alfonse. After over 2 months after the incident our travel agent sent me a string of notes that he sent to Bedsonline who all but didn't respond until the agent had to re-send a number of follow up notes. The latest one indicated that Bedsonline had investigated and closed the report and gave us a 20% refund as a goodwill gesture, without ever contacting us to discuss the details. The note to our agent was sent by Samantha Gillingham. I asked my agent for Bedsonline contact information and he gave me Samantha Gillingham and Tommy Ryder's phone numbers. I called Mr. Ryder several times and left a message and received no response back. I then called Samantha Gillingham who was very curt and short with me, telling me I should not have been given her number. I explained what happened and all I wanted was a refund for the entire 4 nights charge from the Alfonse that we did not stay at. She took my information and said she would get back to me. It has been a week now and I haven't received any communication from her or Tommy Ryder. I injured my knee (that was operated on) by climbing the steep steps up and down with luggage and we paid $600 more for appropriate accommodation and we wasted a day of our anniversary trip. I am not asking for anything more than the total amount we paid for the Alfonse refunded back to us.
Based on this horrible experience, I DO NOT recomend booking through Bedsonline. Terrible customer service and terrible business model and ethics.
