Just DON'T use this company!

I've read the excuses this company provides for their pathetic service. If they were half as good at fulfilling orders.....

Promised next day delivery cannot deliver…. Don’t bother if you need it quick

Won’t ever use again.
Ordered a bed for next day delivery on a Monday afternoon, by Wednesday I had no further correspondence from them so began to chase as I
was expecting delivery that day, an hour waiting on the phone no answer, left voicemail no answer, contacted by Facebook and Instagram finally got a response gave them my details no response again by Thursday lunchtime messaged and said if it’s not being delivered today I want a refund, I received a response quite quickly saying they would process refund 3-5 days.
This company quite obviously are offering something they can’t deliver. Stop making false promises and you might save yourself a lot of hassle dealing with customer complaints.

No response from customer service

Worst company ever

Worst company ever, so wished I had read the reviews first as I would not have touched them with a barge pole! Ordered a bed 3 weeks ago and still waiting so have asked for a refund. Will report to Ombudsman if I don’t receive my money. DO NOT USE.

don’t bother

don’t bother. Cheap beds but pointless if they never arrive.

Like the other reviews here we had a bed that was supposed to arrive a week ago, 6 emails, 2 DMs, 3 hours on hold later it never arrived, was supposed to arrive today and it still hasn’t despite a promise over email. Truly truly awful. Currently have no idea if this is even going to turn up since I can’t seem to get in touch with anyone - I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a scam.

Massively Failed Scheduled Delivery

Requested delivery date 2 weeks in advance. Took time off work to be in for delivery. Had to chase to confirm delivery would be made on 2/6/23. Advised by Eleanor at Bed SOS it was with courier for delivery 2/6/23 - between 8 am and 6 pm. No further communication from Bed SOS or Courier to explain why not delivered.

Requesting full refund at 08.30 am 5/6/23 as they have failed to deliver the goods - guess what - no response again to email. No attempt to call or to explain why delivery did not take place.

Wished I'd read all the negative reviews before I made a purchase with this company - I would not have ordered from them. What a complete shambles we have been strung along with a pack of lies from the moment the order was placed.

Worst experience ever without a doubt. Pretended the item had been sent and was damaged in transit. Couldn't provide any tracking or proof. Next day delivery is a complete joke. Slow to reply to emails. It's now been weeks and I still haven't been refunded.

Promise next day delivery so I waited in all day - nothing. No response to my email and no one picked up the phone after being on hold for 30 minutes. What a joke of a company.

Why offer next-day delivery if you can't fulfill it?

Unfortunately, there seems to be some confusion, we do not promise Next Day delivery. We end our goods on a next day delivery service; and therefore expect them to be delivered the next day. Despite us offering the customer FREE Next Day Delivery, BedSos pays a premium for the service. Unfortunately, issues with traffic/ roadworks/ weather/ road traffic accidents/ etc occasionally arise; this then has a knock on effect to the courier service. In such instances, which are outlined within the Pre-Contractual Agreement and on the T&C's of our website, we can only apologise for the inconvenience caused. The courier service is not part of our company and therefore we have no control over the logistics once it leaves the warehouse. Apologies that you suffered a delay in your goods - and then had the reviewer above you cancel the order for a full refund. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Nothing but excuses for not delivering

Having used this company for the first time, due to claims of next day delivery and the fact I needed the bed urgently, I placed an order. After it did not arrive for several days, after 3 working days and several unanswered calls, they managed to reply to an email. Having read other reviews between order and email reply, the reply didn’t surprise me. There was just an excuse as to why the delivery had not arrived. It seems this company is better at excuses than delivering orders or anything resembling customer service. Suggest avoiding. Obtained refund and ordered elsewhere, as I will do for 3 other beds required, so a good amount of business has been lost by them

AVOID THIS COMPANY. No one replies and no sign of the so called next day service offered

3 days of constantly trying to get through on the phones. No answer, messages left for someone to call, no one called. Emailed twice and no response. Ordered a bed, advised it would arrive next day between 4-6pm. Now had to take 3 days off work and still no sign of the bed or communication. I am so appalled at the service. I would like a full refund as we cannot wait any longer for a bed that may never turn up. Please refund order number 37467 and atleast respond to this review to advise that someone is actually working for this company. Since the phone cuts off after 47 minutes. Can't listen to anymore hotstepper hold music!!!!!

It was a stressful situation to buy a bed

I ordered a bed on 13 March but the bed never came until now. It is also stressful to deal with BedSOS as they ignore my call. The level of trust we gave doesn't get paid back with what they provide.

I've also never seen the tracking number or a similar kind. It is very difficult to believe that they actually send the bed.

Hopefully, the service would be much better.

I have written 2 reviews now and neither have posted for some reason. This company is the most shambolic I have ever dealt with and they have caused my family a great deal of distress this week. We have been lied to day after day, sent emails that are not worth the paper they are typed on. The bed was advertised as next day delivery - turns out you don’t even get your bed 5 days after you order it. I have been promised a call from a manager (a lady called Eleanor told us this) and it is now the 19th March and still nothing. The worst was Friday 17th when we tried from 9 o’clock in the morning until 5pm in the evening (left about 7 messages, all of which were ignored) to speak to somebody. It is utterly disgraceful and I have gone so far as to report this company to Trading Standards and believe it or not, I have also reported them to the police. I believe they have stolen our money £640 in total - and not supplied the goods. In my book, that is theft! We had family arrive midweek to stay with us as we had a family funeral - no bed for them to sleep in so my husband had to go and buy an airbed for us to sleep on, whilst we gave relatives our bed. This company are shameful, faceless cowards who think the best way to treat their customers is to ignore them. Please, please, please take heed of this review, I am not a person who exaggerates the truth, this has been the most dreadful experience and I wouldn’t want anybody else to go through this. BED SOS…… SHAME ON YOU!!!

This has to be the worst company I have…

This has to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. They lie by offering next day delivery (the reason we ordered with them), they then do not answer the telephone (we were on hold for 2 hours without getting through) nor emails. So we are left over £600 the poorer with no bed no mattress and no obvious means of communication with the company.

I have now requested a refund and heard nothing.

Shambles of a company

The advertised next day delivery clearly doesn’t exist and is just a con to get the sale. Took time off work to be there for the delivery, and…… nothing.

Contacted Bed SOS who told me it wound be delivered that day. So I stayed in again, and……. nothing.

Still no bed now, a week later. And Bed SOS can’t even be bothered to contact me after my subsequent email.

Do yourself a favour and buy from elsewhere.

Multiple issues...

Where do I start.. numerous issues with this company.

I contacted customer services to ask if I would be given a time window of delivery as I work close to my house and wanted to be home for when it arrives. Told by both the courier service and BEDSOS that driver would let me know 30 mins before. I receive a call from driver once bed had been delivered saying I need to pick it up (Clearly no communication)

Once opening the parcels, I realised that there was no mattress included - as I ordered the bed and mattress together. Contacted customer services and they said it had been 'damaged in transport' so they are sending a new one out for delivery. This was a blatant lie as a couple of hours later I am told by customer services they have found confirmation of shipment for the mattress which is being sent by a different courier service to the bed.

No tracking whatsoever for the mattress, had to wait 2 days for it to arrive after the bed. What makes it worse, is I was at work and didn't receive any notification once it was delivered, I get home late evening and the mattress is just lent up against the front door on an open street. (Could of easily been stolen or damaged)

Once I start setting up the bed, I realise there is a stain on the foot board that I cannot remove - a small black mark about the size of a 10 pence coin. Looks as if ink as been dropped on it or something.

Not only that, there are no holes for me to screw the feet of the bed into the frame. I have had to use a drill to screw into the fabric and also the wood.

Would steer clear of this company as customer service is not the best.

Apologies you have had these issues. It appears this is the first we have been advised of the small black mark on the footboard. We are more than happy to have the supplier replace the footboard urgently to resolve this issue. In order to proceed with a replacement footboard we would near an image sending to customerservice@bedsos.co.uk showing the said mark. Please include your delivery postcode and/ or order reference number when emailing.

With regards to the mattress it appears the initial mattress was damaged in transit and therefore a replacement was raised immediately via the manufacturer, which is why the tracking had been supplied later that day and showed a different company; this is not uncommon within this industry. The replacement arrived the day after it was dispatched. We apologise that you were not home to receive the package. Unfortunately we do not own the courier and any requests such as courtesy call 20mins prior to delivery are a request only; we cannot guarantee that the driver will honour such request, hence why we advertise all deliveries as between 8am-6pm. You shouldn't have needed to use a drill, as the headboard legs attach to the wood headboard, which is upholstered with fabric, via self tapping screws. Self-tapping screws create their own hole, therefore no holes are needed at the manufacturing point.
Apologies that you didn't realise a drill was not required.

We will raise a complaint regarding the goods being left propped up against the door as, although we offer free UK delivery (excluding AB, IV, FK, PH, etc postcodes), we pay a premium for the delivery service and would expect goods are delivered accordingly to the recipient. Apologies for the courier issues and the mark on the bed frame, which would have occurred at the manufacturing point as BedSos does not handle and unboxed goods for the mark to occur during storage. We are happy to replace this if you require. Please email us via the customer service email.

Ordered a mattress and a bed, only bed arrived then lied when mattress would be arriving!

Ordered a mattress and a bed, only the bed came. It was a Friday, rang up and after three times off the phone going to voicemail, someone answered and said the mattress was on a separate delivery and would arrive between 4-6pm. 6pm goes by, no mattress. And now, they’ve closed customer service for the weekend.

I have awful back problems and this means I’ve had to sleep on the floor as they haven’t delivered what I paid for and lied to me about when it would come. I am in tremendous pain from the bad sleep without my mattress and I have no idea how long I’ll be without a mattress and how much pain I’m going to suffer with.

On Monday I rang, they said it had been damaged in transit and another would be shipped next day to arrive Tuesday. It’s now Tuesday and I’ve been given… some screws. Yes, you read that right. I was given screws instead of a mattress. Customer service said they would send another out to come on a pre-noon delivery.

On Wednesday, I got tracking for the delivery by asking - this should’ve been given to me without asking. The mattress wasn’t on a pre-noon delivery, it was on a 8am-6pm delivery. So that was a lie again!

The mattress eventually arrived on the Wednesday, and it’s a nice mattress. The bed frame is nice too. So at least that’s a plus.

I’ve asked to discuss compensation, but I am being ignored by their customer service now.

Last and final update & edit - I chased customer service *again* about compensation. They offered a £30 refund. Considering I paid £629 for this order, £30 is absolutely abysmal. Shocking company, please think again before buying.

Update on 1 Feb - they haven’t refunded anything due to the fact I’ve left this truthful review of my experience with them.

Do not deal with this company, they will not respect you as a customer.

Many thanks for your feedback. We would have expected these complaints to be raised within the email correspondence you had with staff. Staff were liaising with you on a daily basis to resolve the missing mattress. The replacement missing mattress was sent direct from the manufacturer due to the damaged one being our last stock item for that model. Unfortunately, the manufacturers warehouse team incorrectly labelled a packet of screws with your label. This meant you did receive a packet of screws in error; which was unfortunately beyond BedSos' control. You contacted us and we raised the replacement for delivery the following day. The replacement was already labelled up at the manufacturer's end as an 8am-6pm Overnight Service, meaning the request for a Pre-12 Noon delivery was verbally requested. The mattress arrived around 9:20am, so therefore the request was fulfilled and the service we stated you would receive (ie: Pre-12 noon Delivery) was fulfilled. The offer of a partial refund was a goodwill gesture. We specify that we do not compensate for issues beyond our control, and unfortunately the courier issue and incorrect labelling was not through BedSos' error; however we were willing to issue a £30 partial refund in lieu of a goodwill gesture. You were happy about this via email, however then took to upload a review stating you were unhappy. It was explained that the £30 was a goodwill gesture for the mattress issue only, as there were no issues with the bed frame; therefore the bed frame did not need to be deducted via a goodwill gesture. As you were clearly not happy by our offer, despite accepting it via customer service emails, we refrained from issuing the goodwill gesture. At the point you stated in your public review that £30 is abysmal, it was clear that you did not want £30 refunding; therefore it was not refunded. Also, the review states you were ignored by customer service when you hadn't been ignored, all emails were answered well within our 24hr response rate. Also the mattress was delivered on a Pre-12 non delivery service. You have not been lied to, we have kept you well informed of the situation and how we would need to proceed with the issue. It would not make sense for us to refund a customer a goodwill gesture, which is not a UK legal requirement to do so in such instances, as you were unhappy with the offer but failed to advise this during communications with staff. The £30 was coming out of BedSos' pocket, not the suppliers or couriers pocket, leaving us at a loss through no fault of our own. As you were unhappy and called the offer abysmal publicly, we therefore retracted the Goodwill Gesture and advised you of these actions. We apologise that you had this experience with the courier and supplier, which reflects badly on BedSos, however we have put measures in place to ensure this type of issue does not occur in the future. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
