Beijing Banquet never again

Bejing Banquet Kilmarnock if you have vouchers pleased keep in the card as we were told they couldn’t honour one of ours as it wasn’t, luckily I had it in my bag but this (and their cut off cards )could cause trouble as it’s a receipt with a name of the staff member. We gave a £7.50 tip but we won’t be back. Food was luke warm, I wasn’t given a card for eating too much I was up 4 times for a spoonful of this and that trying to get something warm.I told 3 staff but by then service was over. The ice cream was good.
They need to pay attention to the temperature of the food and also clean the prawns or they’ll be red carded.

Food cold at lunch time.

We have been going to Beijing Banquet Sight hill for years never had any issues till today. Booked a table for a big celebration at 12-30 so not long opened for lunch, was so disappointed with a lot of the food as it was cold. I did say to 3 members of staff and the last one from kitchen just piled fresh hot chicken right on top of the cold chicken satay sticks that was her way of dealing with it. The noodles were cold as was the pizza and chicken and rice the hot lamps were not hot.
Most of the food was piled up on our table as it was cold, only thing that was hot was the soup. Very poor rating today still charged full amount for bill even although I complained.

Disgusting

I love a buffet but the food in the Beijing - Arkleston Rd, Renfrew was totally disgusting, No matter what I took It was cold, the only thing I did get hot was the mushrooms and that was because the kitchen staff had just put them out. Then I watched her bring out more dishes but instead of removing the old food she just scrapped it into the new food tray's, to me that could cause food poison.
The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly but I definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant :(

The go to of my choice

Staff are always cheery. Food is always nice. The new puddings are a nice change from the normal offerings. Hopefully they will keep them on

Had an awful experience at the…

Had an awful experience at the restaurant in Renfrew, sent an email to their customer services that night after our visit and after 1 week eventually got a reply from Ivy who is the Regional manager offering me a refund.
3 weeks on I am awaiting my refund and still not had any reply back from her after 7 emails and 6 calls to different restaurants to track her down and left messages.
Very unprofessional company and poor food standards and communication.
Thanks Julie

Not very impressed with the food and the variety was not as good I have been to the killmarock branch and I think that one is a lot nicer and friendlier than the danderhall one

Poor Hygiene

Visited the Bejing Banquet in Kilmarnock on 10th December 23 and whilst I was standing waiting for my food a woman commenced screaming and when I looked I saw a large rat running through the dinning area so sorry I won't be returning as if there's one there probably be more which now leaves me questioning the hygiene within this establishment the place and food were also cold and some of it very salty

the front of house man was very rude insulting and offensive

the front of house man was very rude, giving me daggers and funny looks (throughout the whole stay)

he referred to me, pointing at me, saying to my family "doses she want to stay in her high chair?"
(im disabled, im in a wheelchair) i can also speak as i already said hello to him. so for this to be done is highly insulting very offensive and very rude.

he then later almost knocked over my elderly disabled parent, and not once has he apologised to any of us. he ruined my day out. he is by far not a people person and should not be front of house

i have contacted the restaurant in question to complain via email. but i have not had a reply, not even an acknowledgement email.

just to point out that many people i know have told me the same things have happened to them, or their disabled families, and he is just as rude to young kids.

i used to like going to this restaurant, im not sure if i will ever go back now, thanks to him.

Beijing Banquet Kilmarnock Disability Discrimination

I have attended 5 times each time booking in advance as I attend with friends or my nurse. I have a Registered Service Dog who is well managed and mannered. Each time we arrive the Gentlemen complains that my dog can’t come in even though it’s against the law to refuse. He has seen her credentials multiple times and been shown the law etc around this and been told it’s a hate crime if he refuses and police would arrest him if I called them. He moves us out the way to either a closed off area or the furthest away when I walk with a stick on oxygen and can barley walk sometimes and I need to be close to the toilet as I have a hyper functioning ileostomy. He doesn’t care says that’s where you’re being put if you don’t you can leave end off. He has been shown governments regulations stating the restaurant has to make adjustments for the disabled person which he never does. All other staff are great and love Carly but he just won’t have it. Am assuming he is the owner. Outrageous and disgusting behaviour. Very discriminatory and vile. I have never had any issues with Carly ever. She’s flown with me sitting next to me on flight, gone to hairdresser, nail salon, supermarkets etc etc never a problem.

An awful experience and not Covid compliant

Booked a table at the Renfrew restaurant for 6 pm but had to queue regardless . Finally seated for 645pm . Not a great start and it got worse .
The restaurant was busy with lots of grown men wearing tracksuits and women wearing once black jeggings that had become translucent having been stretched over their ample derrieres revealing the horrors they were meant to conceal.
The banqueting area resembled a chimps tea party although i remember chimps having more table manners .
The restaurant had disposable gloves and asked for masks to be worn at the food area but many people didnt bother .
We found our table was next to the queue to pay and we had the added delight of maskless people standing right next to our table while we dined .
A restaurant for the Jeremy Kyle generation .

Awful

By far the worst experience I have ever had from a chinese takeaway, ordered chicken maryland and got 4 very thin wafer type bits of cold rubbery chicken and a large amount of cold chips, cost us 15 pounds and when we called they did not wish to know, glenrothes beware,

Very stressful experience.

Very stressful experience.
I booked this restaurant a few days in advance & was assured the booking was accepted. However, upon arrival I was advised they could not find the booking. After speaking with the manager, we were assured our booking would be honoured but would have to wait for tables.
I had booked for 16, we met the mandatory '5 household rule' for Covid regulations. After waiting outside, in the cold, for 20 minutes, we were eventually led to 4 different tables, one of which was for six of us, which was completely cut off from the rest of our party, which had three separate tables. The booking farce & bad seating arrangement was the beginning of what was to set the tone of things to come....
The ordering system was chaotic to say the least. We waited up to 45 minutes for some things to be brought to our table. Even then, they brought the wrong orders, they brought same things twice, most folk didn't get half of what they ordered. Honestly, I've never had the misfortune to experience such appalling service.
We were all looking forward to seeing and being with each other and the night was a complete disaster!
I asked to speak with the manager, who asked me to come with her. She took me to an area where the staff were all frantically collecting food from the warm basin maries. She pointed to a massive pile of meal order slips, 'this is what we have to deal with', she exclaimed. I was non too pleased that she should take me to this area to show me the orders & told her, this was not my problem, I advised her that I thought it was not appropriate to lead a customer this way. The manager was very apologetic & I did feel sorry for all the staff who were working so hard under exremely difficult and stressful circumstances. I pointed out to the manager that the restaurant was full to capacity, & that lessening the table covers could have made the service more manageable. She remained apologetic and pointed out that the government's 50% off scheme had begun and this was adding to the diners numbers in the restaurant. I told her that I thought this set up obviously was not working. She promised it would be reveiwed. However, this didn't help our situation or the situation for many others in the restaurant. I did speak to an acquaintance, who I knew, who was having a birthday meal for her daughter, and for which they paid a £50 booking fee. She told me her daughter was in tears because her night was going so badly due to the appalling service.
All in all, this was an experience that myself and my family, would never like to encounter again, ever! It was both very stressful and anxiety provoking. Here's hoping Beijing Banquet can salvage their reputation because if our night was anything to go by, I fear for the businesses future. From past experience it used to be a lovely place to eat.
