Ben Baker Design in essence came about from my childhood love of tinkering, I would disassemble anything I could get my hands on then attempt to put it back together with varying degrees of success, It became a life long interest in how and why things work the way they do, it is a passion that continued throughout my life, I began my working life in graphic design and printing at my fathers “Instant Print” business, way back before instant print was a common thing. I loved the process of the machinery and the noise of rotating gears and hiss of the paper suction as each form and letterhead was delivered with a dust to prevent the ink sticking. it was a rhythm that is music to me. My love of Art,Design & Aesthetics was I moved away from home and into a new city and tried my hand at welding and fabrication something I enjoyed very much for a time, but I felt I wanted to travel, so decided to get a trade and train as an electrician, My electrical work enabled me to travel all over the UK and into Europe, installing housing re-wires at first onto installing and commissioning fully automatic car washes and automotive paint systems, after a number of years I decided it was time to start out on my own and work for myself, I got involved in contract work for property developers and through this line of work began installing pumps for water features and lighting systems in landscaped It was something that really got my interest back, here my work story comes to where I am now, I work full time in Landscaping and Garden Lighting installations and Lamp repairs. I could not be happier doing the two things I enjoy the most and calling it work. #Lighting Repair Near Me #Lamp Repair Shop #Google maps #Repair shop #London lighting

To entrust a valued object to a stranger you find on the internet is a leap in the dark. Right from the start, Ben was responsive, confident that he could repair my lamp, and did so. All I had to do was arrange a time to drop it off and pick it up - and it all happened over the course of a morning. What more can you ask?
Very pleased!
I've got my two lamps impeccably fixed in less than week for a very reasonable price.
I will definitely be using Ben service again.
Ben did a fantastic job rewiring and cleaning up my enormous antique standard lamp - and very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Took 6 varied lamps - some to be re wired with new fittings and some mended and rewired. All brilliant.
Ben did an amazing job restoring an old standard light I inherited. It is now working perfectly he kept all the original parts rather than replace with modern versions. Really happy with the quick turnaround as well. A great service
I found Ben in Google and asked him to repair an Artillery lamp that had not worked for some time. Ben did an excellent job re-wiring the lamp whilst keeping its authenticity. The finish was excellent and I was very happy with the finish. Communication was very easy and professional.

I found Ben Baker Design randomly on google. I needed to repair a halogen lamp that I have owned for almost 20 years. In fact, this lamp has become quite obsolete and finding parts was going to be difficult. I was very impressed with the outcome of the repaired work after about a couple of weeks. The parts needed were purchased, the lamp was working back to normal and the cost was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend the services of Ben Baker Design, very professional. You get updates regarding the progress of your repair all the way.

Ben restored 2 lamps for me. One relatively simple but the other more complicated as the original spot bulbs are not made anymore. Ben did an excellent job on both. They look great.

Ben is a very friendly and talented lamp fixer who was able to restore my limited edition collector’s lamp, in addition to making it easier to use by switching the plug head from a two/prong (US/JPN) to UK’s three-pin plug head. His price was very reasonable as well and I’d be happy to use his service again. Thanks Ben!
Great service from Ben, who managed to fix my lamp within minutes. He's quick to respond, polite, professional and it was a pleasure to get his help.
Ben took huge effort to transform an antique brass oil lamp into a working light. Talked it through thoroughly first. We are absolutely thrilled. Very reasonably priced and quick results. We 100% recommend Ben.
Excellent job from Ben, we’re very happy with the repair on our lamp, fast service and reasonably priced. Thank you Ben!
Ben rewired 2 antique lamps so they worked and were safe to use again. He used materials that were in keeping with the style of the lamps, they look as good as new! Excellent service
