I too am starting to think this is a fraudulent enterprise. Nice website, took my money, heard nothing in six weeks, no response to emails or phone calls.

One star so far ..... hoping for more. Dont want to be another disaster customer like the ones below. Ordered 24/11 but nothing arrived by 18/12. Was promised it would be dispatched last week after chasing. But no confirmation of dispatch 10 days on - I have tracking but it has not got beyond advised to Parcelforce. Hoping thay can fix this ..... Jade has replied well so far - fingers crossed

Product is fine but communications and delivery are diabolical. Ordered two items 4 weeks ago first item received over a week late and didn’t include fixings which then arrived another week later. Despite repeated calls and emails all I got was sorry will chase it up but no certain on delivery dates.

I think this firm is fraudulent - I've paid the invoice and it's been months and despite chasing constantly I have never received anything.

Ordered bench slats over a month ago, they took the money straight away. No delivery and they aren't responding to messages.

AVOID!! Order through this compamy fs manufacturing but from their sister website harwooduk. They will unfortunately take your money and won't deliver. Ordered timber to the value of £725 on 18th September. They said it had been shipped multiple times but didn't have a delivery report and material never turned up. I was promised a 3-4 business day delivery time scale which did not meet my expectations. I've not received my order 30days later and still not been refunded after requesting one due to loosing 2days work due to thw order not being with me as promised.

Harry Ojari (company director) will not answer any calls and Jade markham (company secretary) will feed the same lies over and over when i get through by calling off a differnet phone. They log your number and ignore it.

The good reviews on here are unverified and if you give an honest review on their websites it will be deleted if not 5star

They also have benchslatsuk.co.uk and fs manufacturing with stores on ebay and etsy which runs under the same people so avoid all.

Unfortunately this has happened to many people so please don't be the next victim.

I'm going to make it my mission to let the local community and uk wide know what could potentially happen to them if you order through one of their website.

Granted you could be a lucky one and have your timber that you paid for, but unfortunately like many others I wasn't so lucky.

Started the process with trading standards. WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED ......

Now 1st October 24, I placed an order for some bench slats on 25th August 2024, I noted the delivery time and waited. I contact the company via their website and a few days passed the delivery date went by with no reply (I can’t recall how many days), I made a call I ended up speaking with some driving a car who said they would look into it and get it by the end of the week…
Also now 20 days after order I got a reply to my website message by email stating

‘so sorry for the delay on your order’….

We are running a bit behind, so huge apologies. I will chase this up tomorrow for you and make sure it is delivered by the end of the week.’
Oddly also furnished a Parcelforce tracking number which just says tracking status advised, having checked with Parcel force this
Basically means they have a record
Of a parcel but it’s not been picked up/scanned onto their system yet.
That was 20th September, 11 days ago.
Getting no where with Bench Slats UK I elevated a complaint via PayPal requesting a refund and will go else where (as well a emailing asking for a refund to be processed).
I shall update further when there is a final resolution.

I did a custom order for some Iroko slats & fixings for a Corporation garden chair I was restoring. Communications from Jade was excellent & within 4 days of me confirming my requirements with her I had my complete order delivered. Quality looks very good & very well packaged. Brilliant service & wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Excellent customer service experience, in particular from Jade, who was extremely helpful, accommodating and professional in dealing with my requests. The sizes were perfect and the Sapele wood slats were of good quality. I would not hesitate to recommend Benchslats UK to my family and friends, and I most definitely will be a happy “returning” customer.

I have in the past restored an old cast iron bench but the wooden slats were always a problem.
Well with Benchslat no problem first class wood, lovely finish, reasonable price, delivered to my door and nice people.
I recommend them without any hesitation.

Found the company on an internet search, I misread dispatch time for the delivery time so was disappointed when nothing arrived. Communication with the company now became an issue as emails weren’t answered and messages weren’t responded to. When I did get a response my mistake was realised. My order still didn’t arrive and again the lack of communication arose but eventually I was told a lack of product stopped my order. Overall it took over a calendar month from order to delivery but today it arrived and is exactly as described and what I wanted. If you are prepared to wait you will be rewarded with a quality product.

Can’t comment on quality of the bench slats, they never arrived. The website states delivery in 8 to 10 working days but I waited for over a month. Contacted them on a number of occasions and was always promised delivery next week, never happened. Got fed up and cancelled the order and demanded a refund. Was promised that would be done within 24 hours. A week later that hasn’t happened either.
Use another company.

I placed my order over the Internet. When it didn't arrive, I contacted the company and spoke to Harry,who apologised and rang me back after checking my order, which unfortunately not been put through by a member of staff. Harry promised my order would be with me within 2 days which it was. This was my 2nd order of bench slats and I am delighted with them

Staff were very helpful when I ordered my wood slats. When it hadn't arrived on a certain day they then arranged another day for it to be delivered by fed ex courier. Which was satisfactory. So well done to all the team at Benchslatsuk.

The day after my rant here on Trustpilot, a set of beautiful slats arrived. I had been incensed by weeks of the receptionist's false promises of delivery dates I then received a very honest call from BUK's owner Harry, with profuse apologies for my treatment, which I accepted. The product is excellent, and as long as the company admits to genuine delivery times which you can live with, you may be assured of first class slats.

Ordered a set of sapele slats, they were machined to perfection!

Putting the bench together was very straight forward, contacted bench slats UK regarding what oil to use and they recommend osmo oil this looked great.

Would definitely recommend this company.

Polite, professional Jade was excellent in sorting out a slightly later than delivery window. Slats were expertly packaged and produced to a high standard. I highly recommend this company. I had doubts reading some of the reviews but I have had a brilliant experience!

Ordered and paid for goods over a month ago. Poor communication never answered e-mails and when I did get to speak to Jade she simply was not honest. Said goods were out for delivery when they clealy weren't. Said she would call me back, never did. Frustrating experience, escalated with Paypal and got money back.
Update: The wood arrived,well packaged,to spec and good quality. Rest of order still to come. Spoke with Harry,he was very apologetic and had become aware of the poor communication recently. Promised to send rest of order and offered reduction to compensate for the previous poor service. All now arrived. Credit to Harry for actually doing what he said he would. Hence uprated stars.

It's interesting to see the reviews on poor delivery times. This also happened to me. Is there an excuse ...no, even if this is a small company. However it's how the problems are sorted out that is important.

Once Benchslats were aware of the problem, the delivery was sorted out.

The materials purchased are of a good quality and the wood looks amazing once oiled.

Would I recommend...the answer is yes. Apart from the delay in delivery, I received excellent quality materials and wasn't scammed. People can be so impatient these days.

I placed an order on the 10th May 2024. Delivery was quoted as 10-15 working days. After multiple chases, I received an incomplete order today, a mere 52 working days (allowing for the Bank Holiday). What I have received looks fine and good quality, but getting hold of the company and getting them to respond in a timely manner is near the worst service I have seen. At one point I thought I had been scammed, that is how bad it is.

Update: I was contacted by the company who said they had read my review and that they were a small family company and were struggling with orders and would like to send out the missing parts and would I then update the review. They sent me the same part twice, so the order is still incomplete. Trust pilot then contacted me to say if I didn’t update my review, it would be recognised as “genuine”. So how does this work then?
