Ben, is first class race coach. He is direct and straight forward and always focusing on only a few things at time ( get the big gains first, then the smaller gains). His coaching allows me to go from top 10 runner in Caterham races to competing regularly for podiums / fastest laps I used him for 6 years since 2017 and stopped this year only because I am going rallying for a change His experience in Caterham's in particular are second to none although I am sure he could take an amateur racer in any car and help them find speed and race craft. Ben is the most professional and effective race coach I have worked with. He is extremely knowledgeable, and his approach to helping you find time simply works. He is a great person to spend time with also... Evan if he did go faster than me in my own car! Very highly recommended!

I recently had a one to one session with Ben at Bedford. A supurb coach with incredible driving talent. The structure of the day is first class and Ben tailors it to suit your skill level & learning abilty. I'm a novice about to start my first racing season and I found the day invaluable. My lap time improved substantially on the day with lots of advice to take away and work on. Highly recommend- I've already got another session booked.

Ben is a great coach - just had a day with him at Donington - clear and concise feedback given, using VBox to compare where I was losing time against a reference lap he set on the day in my car. Noticeable laptime improvement during the day.

Spent a day with Ben at Donington. Really excellent coaching in wet and dry conditions. Made a huge difference over course of day - very comprehensive service including full use of VBOX with throttle traces and pedal cameras etc.

Ben is a great coach who i have worked with for three seasons. His systematic approach to technique development and building pace is highly effective. His input is crisp, clear and direct.

Ben can give you lots of advice and data but for me I learn best from experiences and that's where Ben is brilliant. With him driving my car (and me as passenger) all the words would suddenly make sense and I could properly understand what the car was capable of and how it should feel when you are pushing.

Had several session days with Ben over the last year, most 1 on 1 but also a shared day. Both formats are good.
Always sessions been fun but always equally great analysis of your driving. This is followed by clear feedback and suggestions to improve lap times. The atmosphere is professional and Ben is adaptive to your own feedback if you need to work on one particular area.
Overall you will leave the day faster ready your next track/race day.

Ben is an excellent coach, extremely methodical, a very clear communicator and a reassuring presence alongside you in the car. He is also very personable ,easy to get along with and a staggeringly quick driver.

Ben Clucas can jump into any race car on a busy test day and within a few laps produce a record beating lap time. But it’s not his raw speed that makes him such an outstanding race instructor. It’s his unique ability to analyse data and transfer his knowledge to both novice and experienced drivers. Other instructors will make you faster, Ben can make you a race winner!

I started racing last year and was seriously "off the pace". My first day with Ben completely reset my understanding of what a Caterham can do and since my second day I've been competitive in my class. This year we've done another couple of days on different tracks which has enabled me to compete with people with many years of experience at those venues. Ben is an easy guy to get on with, communicates driving concepts well and makes the day fun. He also provides tailored notes which are very useful to look back on.

I've been coached by Ben once (Bedford) and look forward to going out with him again. Riding as a passenger with Ben is eye-opening as you will see how the limits of the car look and feel; this is invaluable. After my day with Ben I had a much better understanding of the physics of the car/tyres/track and how driver inputs relate to bringing the car to its limits. He doesn't just tell you "go faster into the apex", rather he tells you the driver inputs required to get you there.

Ben has been coaching me for a number of years and his input into my driving technique and in learning race tracks has improved my driving and made tracks days more enjoyable. He is very patient and shares his knowledge with a smile.

Ben offers a very professional service and is well experienced in tuition. He was quick to figure out how to get the best out of the day with me and the areas i needed to focus on improving. I would highly recommend anyone at any level of racing to have a day of tuition with Ben.

A highly skilled driver who also has excellent coaching skills at many levels. He took me through the Caterham series up to 310R and on into historic racing.

Ben Clucas is an amazing race coach who has the rare ability to induce improvement in any level of race driver. My personal experience was as a struggling driver in the Caterham Tracksport competition. He helped me achieve my best championship finish. Ben is highly observant and patient. He identifies specific points you can work on in each session so that you are not overloaded with feedback and can gradually improve. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
