Avoid – dangerous car and poor aftersales

We bought a Fiat 500 from Ben Kemp Limited and it turned out to be a serious safety issue. The car repeatedly went into limp mode at around 60mph, suddenly dropping down to 30mph on a 70mph road. This happened while my 17-year-old daughter, who has only just started driving, was behind the wheel. It was extremely frightening and could have caused a serious accident.

We reported the fault and were told it had been ‘fixed’ twice, yet the exact same problem kept happening. Clearly the issue was never properly resolved. We also had to replace two front tyres ONE WEEK after delivery after an apparent ‘clean bill’ of health on the MOT. No advisory’s when the tyre centre I went to also said the back two tyres only have 2000 miles left in. Makes sense perfect sense that they do in - house MOT’s!!

Now, despite the car being unsafe and unfit for purpose, they are dragging their heels over issuing a refund.

Based on our experience, I would strongly advise avoiding this company. Safety and customer care have been very poor.

Decent old fashioned fair service

Thank you for fixing my Range Rover pragmatically and nowhere near the cost amount of works main dealer had said.
Becs is super and Henry a gent. I think Matty & Jack in the workshop could fix anything ‘no problem’.
Loan car + can do attitude + just nice people to deal with thank you

MILEAGE MISREPRESENTATION AVOID!!!

I purchased a japanese import Audi S3 from Ben Kemp who supposedly specialise in import vehicles, and I was led to believe it had only done 39k miles. After completing a VIN number check I found the Official Japanese Auction Records and the car had actually done 62k miles.

I was told they do not provide any documentation from Japan at the point of sale and now its clear to see why!

I raised this issue and was not given an apology or explanation as to how this occurred. I was told I could return the vehicle to them for a refund even though they were aware I was not insured at the time to drive the car and the battery had also died after just a few days. Staff were rude and not helpful at all but I have since received a full refund after lots of back and forth

If your considering buying from here, highly recommend paying for a report and not trusting what they have advertised.

AVOID!

Ben Kemp LTD Land Rover Norfolk.

Ben Kemp LTD Land Rover Norfolk.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TRUST THESE PEOPLE.
Sold us a DAMAGED DANGEROUS vehicle.
These people including Ben Kemp himself sold us this knowing our childrens lives would be at risk, after multiple attempts fix the vehicle Ben Kemp Norwich told us “There os nothing wrong with the vehicle”

Well well well… so we took it to Land Rover Norwich (he’s besties and what a mistake that was) Land Rover Norwich said “there’s multiple problems that are severe but we have fixed them”

Our thoughts were …. Something fishy is going on here so we got an independent specialist to check the vehicle as we could smell smoke.
GUESS WHAT!!!! The vehicle was in fact NOT ROAD WORTHY with a FAKE MOT BEN KEMP GAVE IT!!!!

WHOA!!!!!!! The vehicle making its way back to you and I have my 31 thousand pounds back!!!
You should be ashamed of yourselves ALL OF YOU! one day your kill a family with your scrap cars YES THEY OWN AND FIX SCRAP PRESTIGE CARS!!!!

Do not put your family or loved ones near his vehicles, it’s only a matter of time before a driver kills themselves or an innocent person due to their incompetence.

Absolutely disgusting and bad practice with no thought in mind other then MONEY!

WARNING!!!!

WARNING!!!!
Avoid at all costs, or search the Internet for experiences
Worse then mine.
31 thousand pound!
Range Rover sport 7 seater.
Day 1: smoke from the engine compartment either side of the engine within hours of buying.
In autotrader photos I noticed an air bag light on, I questioned this prior to committing to purchase, I was reassured “it’s just because the ignition is on without the engine started” so I assumed they know what their talking about.
Same day 1: air bag light on while driving NICE!!!
No warranty given, STILL DAY ONE! Power loss WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR!
Had to pull up on a side road and drive at 5mph to get get home!

Emails sent, phone calls made, excuses were made “o he’s off this week”

BUT HANG ON DONT YOU WANT TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON WITH THE BEST LOOKING CAR IN YOUR “SCRAP YARD” YES they share land with a car scrap yard! So this all makes sense now.

The bottom line is, I got sold a dud for a load of money I work hard for, they don’t respond to emails so I’ve had no choice but to THANK GOD! take this up with my bank who I took the finance out with, now that have to respond because your stunning big pile of dog sxxx is coming back just the way YOU LET ME DRIVING 150 miles HOME KNOWING I COULD OF CAUSED DEATH BY DRIVING THIS MOTOR.

Being a driving instructor by trade saddens me to leave such a bad review for any business BUT I’m one of the good guys that help keep our roads safe and there’s YOU who can flip it upside down just like the other horror stories I’ve read here.

Wow, this is one for Trust-pilot, and just in case you don’t respond to this (I know you won’t) where I’m about to leave this review will permanently cause you financial loss and that is exactly would you need to happen until you learn NOT to put us innocent people in these terrible & dangerous situations.
