Extremely poor experience…
I had a very poor interstate move experience through Allied/Berger.
During the sales process, I was promised a largely hands-off experience. That is not what happened. Nothing about this move was hands-off. I had to stay on top of the process constantly, and meaningful communication did not happen until it was already too late to plan properly.
My delivery window was April 10–13, but my household goods were not delivered until April 23. In the days leading up to delivery, I was repeatedly calling, emailing, and texting trying to get answers and coordinate, without clear information.
After delivery, the crating team came on April 24 and discovered damage, including a broken marble table and a $3,400 Samsung OLED TV that powers on but has no picture. The TV was fully functional before the move. The claims handling was equally frustrating: the marble table was treated like a generic replaceable top instead of a matching marble piece, and the TV claim was denied because there was no visible exterior damage.
Overall: major delay, damage to high-value items, and a process that fell far short of what was promised.
