High quality product, great customer service

Spoke to the customer service prior to my purchase, lady was very friendly and advised me. Items received the next day. Although I needed a size up once again I was assisted promptly and within 3 days I had the correct size. In a world where customer service is mostly done by bots nowadays, you can count on professionals here. 5 stars!

Bought a heated hoodie for my wife at…

Bought a heated hoodie for my wife at Christmas. Excellent product- very well made and easy to use. Only slight negative was delay with courier from base but in fairness it was Christmas.

Excellent customer service

I contacted Bertschat for details about the heated bike seat cover. I got my questions answered immediately and I ordered their product. I cannot speak for the product just yet but Michiel at the customer service was very helpful.

Exceptional customer service

I wanted to buy heated cycling gloves and Bertschat was one of two companies that got my attention.
I have not received the gloves yet but I am over the moon with the Bertschat customer service.
Every question that I asked them by mail was answered the next day on a detailed and professional way.
That was the reason I bought the heated gloves of Bertschat instead of the other premium company.

Had 3 batteries replaced

Had 3 batteries replaced, they would replace the battery and customer service was helpful but every-time a new one arrived it wouldn't charge.

Remarkable customer service

Remarkable customer service, they politely answered all my questions, and helped me with my issues. The product was shipped fast, and I could enjoy them within a couple of days.

Great customer service.

After posting my review, I was contacted by the customer service of Bertschat. It took a few weeks of exchanging emails, but as a result I have received not just a new pair, but the top range model of the insoles – Limited Edition. In order to calibrate the batteries, I have to discharge them completely and recharge three times, but so far I simply failed to discharge them. (This is, obviously, a very good thing!)

I wish this has taken less time (my first message was sent on October 24, I received the new insoles on January 8) but after the initial disappointment the experience ended being much, much better than I expected. I don't think I'd get that sort of treatment elsewhere. Special thanks to Michiel.

AVOID.

Product: Heated Insoles Elite

One of the batteries in my insoles began to fail. I sent the insoles for repair/replacement. After weeks of correspondence, here are the details:
1. The batteries are calibrated to last between 2:30h-3:30h on hottest setting. (My home test: 3.00h vs 4.38h.) That's some extra lousy quality control in the first place – the difference between 2:30-3:30h is 1.4x (40%). Also, according to the website, "You can heat up to 14 hours on a single charge. This is in ideal conditions.” I asked what the ideal conditions were, so that I could test this claim for myself. I received no response.
2. It's normal that one of the soles heats up a few degrees more than the other. (Quote from the website: "Built-in temperature sensor" – I wonder what the sensor does exactly, since it's not ensuring equal temperature?)
3. The battery failure – sorry, normal state – being 1.5x lower in one of them – was explained as "The batteries in the insole endure pressure, shocks and can get wet." I wear them strictly indoors, since I am disabled and very rarely leave the house.
4. After literal weeks of exchanges with the "excellent customer service" I asked for them to be sent back. I now wear them on the L setting for the left sole and M for the right ("a few degrees difference is normal"). This makes the right sole deplete faster, of course. I put it away for the night after using them for a few hours, the next evening tried to use them again. The left one worked, the right discharged overnight (it was switched off).
5. The battery capacity, given explicitly on the website, is "2,200 mAh at 3.7 V" yet one takes longer to charge than the other. I have no way to measure the claim, but if one takes longer to charge, it's simply not possible for them to have the same capacity.

When it's the company selling a product who determines whether the product is working well enough, you don't get to appeal. (This is why I tend to buy on Amazon, but I wanted to support a Dutch business.) So, with all that I listed above, I only have one conclusion: the quality of Bertschat insoles is appallingly bad. Do yourself a favour and buy something from China.

Terrible quality

I won't purchase anything from Bertschat ever again.

Very expensive products with low quality, which stop functioning after a few weeks. Zero costumer service or support.

Quality products, good customer service

I phoned a week ago to get some advice and the sales representative on the phone was very helpful. The products were delivered on time and so far I'm very pleased with the fit and finish.
Almost looking forward to the winter now that I have adequate ways to protect my hands and feet.

Faulty heated socks

I bought quite expensive heated socks, that would have been worth their money if it was not for the fact that they are very fragile. They broke twice. First time I got a new sock. Second time the other sock failed just outside the one year guarantee period. I think I cycled 5 times with these socks. I do not care to pay a bit more but I do expect quality and service. Bertschat has failed to deliver both.
