Abraham was helpful to set me up for an…

Abraham was helpful to set me up for an excursion a few months ahead of our trip. But paying for it was cumbersome.
A month later we had to cancel our trip and they told me it would take 20 business days to credit. After that time passed, I asked them about the credit and Abraham said it takes 30 business days. Their policy stipulates 20 business days in writing. I called, texted and emailed Abraham but got no response. I had to call my bank and report the issue so I could get my refund. Their business practice is very unprofessional.

Not bad - but tour guide could be more friendly.

Did a zipline tour on the week-end, and was not exactly what I expected. Felt like it was pretty expensive for how long the tour lasted. The zip-lining itself was fun, but the tour guide acted like he really didn't want to be there.

I would definitely try zip-lining again, but might try a different company next time. Altogether, I would rate it 3-stars. Could definitely have been 4-stars if the guide was a bit friendlier to people who paid a lot of money to be there.

Trust Best of Hawaii’s Customer Service

I booked a 5hour guided kayaking tour I found on Best of Hawaii. It was with Sun and Salt Adventures Hawaii - Oahu: 5 Hour Guided Na Mokulua Island Kayak Tour.

Best of Hawaii's Adin has been a lifesaver and answered all my questions. However, the kayaking tour was not a great experience with a poor outfitting of a tiny tandem kayak and a pfd that was too big. My boyfriend is over 6' tall. He was paddling with his knees at his chest. He was so uncomfortable. We capsized because the kayak was so unbalanced and seats were not adjusted properly. My pfd was floating above my head because it was too big.

Our guide did not seem too concerned about safety or about using the best route with the tidal conditions. Best of Hawaii apologized for this terrible experience and did offer a customer appeasement. I appreciate Best of Hawaii and Sun and Salt worked with me on this truly bad experience. Best of Hawaii listened to me and was very understanding.

No refund

I did a reservation the 20th September (to have the tour on 24 October and they called me to change the tour because It wasn't available).
I had to cancel the 2nd October. They said 15-20 days to refund.....Today it's 13 November. STILL WAITING refund.
I called many times, I wrote emails...no answer.

Good at taking money. Bad at refunds

Very good at taking money and helping you get on a tour.

Very bad at providing refunds. Have waited more than 2 months. A lot of back and forth with Ana but still nothing. I really didn't want to write this review but feel like this is the only way you will respond

This is not the way we do business with Ohana

Well the first night we where suppose…

Well the first night we where suppose to do the Luau they canceled and said they would return my money never received it. My husband had to go to the hospital for dehydration so the rest of our plans was canceled I didn’t care if we didn’t receive the other bookings because I was just concerned about my husband but they said they would return the Luau and never received it.

I'm getting my refund !!!!!!!

As said in earlier I contacted Dept of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (Honolulu) about not getting my refund from BEST of HAWAII. Quick response from the DCCA was that Best of Hawaii are now posting a cheque to me for my refund. Staff at DCCA have been excellent and continue to followup until I receive my cheque (I'm in Australia). Contact them if you haven't received your refund. They WILL take action on your behalf. DON'T LET BEST OF HAWAII GET AWAY WITH YOUR MONEY

I cancelled my helicopter tour that I booked through these guys in May and they never refunded me for $660!! I have left voice messages and sent numerous emails but the email on their website is no longer active and nobody ever answers the phone. It is now August and I still have yet to get my refund. This company is scamming people for their money

Caution! on Refunds

Caution!!
Be aware that if you have to change (reduce) the number of guests on your activity reservation your likely to NOT get a refund. I had to cancel (on the same day of booking) one of four quests for an activity and the agent approved the cancellation. I was told I would get a credit on my CCard. Never happened even after several inquiries - and No response!

Book some-where else

. I had to cancel my booking in March I even had a rep. from the company call me and he assured me that I would receive my refund in 10-14 days. What a joke DO NOT BOOK ANY-THING with this mob. As far as I am concerned they are day-light robbers, and should be shut down permanently.

Do not book here!

I am trying to get in contact with your company for weeks now. By phone/mail/messenger/chat on your website/... No respons what so ever. You cancelled our luau due to the covid pandemic, I understand that, but we paid for it, about 305 dollars, so we expect a refund. When will we receive that? It's not a good service, when you don't even reply to all my mails! 😠 Our ordernumber RR7JA1N

Do not book with Best Of Hawaii Tours

I’m hoping by writing this review that even if one person does not book after they have read this, then I’ll be totally satisfied. We booked a tour in February 2020 for a tour in May 2020 to Kualoa Ranch. Due to the coronavirus this tour was cancelled by the operator and to this day 8th June this company has failed to refund or answer our numerous emails and do not respond to our phone calls. They do have a responsibility to refund their customers and by reading reviews here and elsewhere, obviously they should not have your business and I hope you take this into consideration and book elsewhere. Companies like this should be out of business!

I have left several voice messages and…

I have left several voice messages and emails with Best of Hawaii with no response to my question. I canceled a trip about a month prior to the reservation and have yet to receive any information on when I would get my refund. The website clearly states reservations can be canceled only 48 hours prior to the reservation so I don’t understand why I have not received a refund.

Kualoa Ranch Movie Sites Tour

The sales representative was very helpful over the phone and even allowed me to reschedule my excursion for a day that would work better for me as I was got sick and needed time to get over it to fully enjoy my time at Kualoa Ranch.

Darren the pilot did a great job

Darren the pilot did a great job, we were able to park right in front of a waterfall for our lunch stop since the clouds were covering the "normal" stop. I guess I don't know what I missed, but was THRILLED with what we got. So much beautiful scenery there on Hawai'i!

Good for someone's first experience

Good for someone's first experience. Show was great, service was very good. Food was a bit lacking in taste but at least it was all you can eat. Open bar was great and our server was very attentive and refilled drinks often.
