Do not thoroughly review applications

I recently applied for a role through BestResources Recruitment in Sydney, handled by Belinda, and was disappointed with the process. Despite submitting a detailed application highlighting my 17+ years in FMCG multi-site management (including sales, operations, and team leadership in retail environments), the rejection email stated they were "looking at candidates from a similar FMCG multi-site background." It was clear my qualifications weren't reviewed thoroughly, as this directly matched what I have.

This made me feel my time was wasted, and I wonder if the role was genuinely available or just advertised to build a candidate database. As someone with extensive experience in fast-paced, multi-location operations, I expected better attention to detail from a recruitment agency.

On a positive note, their response was prompt, but overall, it left me questioning the agency's screening process. I hope this feedback helps them improve—perhaps by ensuring applications are read fully before responding. 1/5 stars.
