Betblocker is totally rubbish, downloaded it, this site did not stop any gambling sites at all, was still allowed to play on any casino site i logged into, I am now another £10'000 down, is there any help out there at all?

This App is a complete and utter cluster unfortunately it blocked everything on my phone other than allowing access to gambling sites..
As per a lot of reviews I had to factor restset my phone

I can genuinely say that's the worst app. Understand that it blocks gambling sites and ads but for it to completely block everything that's ridiculous. Can't use Google, amazon etc. or even your email.

What a useless app. From the moment I downloaded it nothing but issues. It simple doesn't work. I was still able to access any gamberling site on the Internet or any gamberling app. I had to restore my phone to factory settings just to remove the app. If I could give zero stars I would.

It's great that it's free but thats as far as it goes. There are very few gambling sites that it actually prevents from being loaded. I've sent a long list of sites that aren't blocked to admin and they've told me they updated their list and to keep on writing them if I find more. I'm still able to access all of those sites. There are quite a few sites that have nothing to do with gambling that this app is blocking.
You're mission is fantastic but it is apparent the team involved with this app are out of their league. This is essentially a massive firewall that cannot be altered by the end user or admin.
If gambling is a problem for you self exclude directly from the sites and pay for an app to lock you out if needs be. This app will not help you

I installed this app and set blocker for 6 months.. since I installed the app I wasnt able to access Google and even my security home cameras! Everything was not working.. I searched everywhere how to delete as it was so annoying.. I managed to remove mine by searching for app permissions.. and then betblocker shows.. I just kept tapping on the slide option to deactivate and it was fighting with me for a while but then give up.. it then said uninstall at the bottom of my screen (thank god!!) Which then I pressed and then it went!! Never ever again!!

It is a disaster. Installed it. Set it up for 24 hours period. It didn't block half of gambling sites. Contacted support. Every 4 days they may reply and say sent us a screenshot we will investigate. 3 weeks later is is still blocking stuff and I can't even access paid blocking filter apps - AS THEY ARE BLOCKED. And nothing I can do. It's on my laptop. Even I uninstalled it, it still blocks 3 weeks later! I reinstalled so their support could try to fix it. I feel bad criticizing them as it's free and they are a charity, but it's dangerous help when they don't have the skills, time or resources to help people in sometimes suicidal states.

But if you have gambling problem, just try a paid version. It's not worth saving $50 when it doesn't work. I have lost 5k in last 3 weeks so!

I feel super low and this has just made my life worse.

I just want it gone so I can download and install something that works but so far, they have not helped me.

Why are people saying this app is difficult to uninstall it is not?

Don't do it. Once on you can't get off till the amount of time you set is through. That in it's self isn't the problem. It makes your phone so slow, and many sites you can not get into, even non gambling sites. I'm ready to buy new phone just to get away from it. Just go on to the gambling sites and self block yourself from them if you need to. But, really really don't download the Bet Blocker app. I did it for 3 months. Still have 2 to go. You will not be able to get it off. If you don't believe me, then only set your time for the least amount you can. And see how it goes. At least you won't be stuck with if for a long time.

Don't. Just don't! Worst piece of crap I have had the misfortune to come across. When I was downloading it, Kaspersky flagged it as having errors, e.g. not compatible with Win 10, etc. And let's not forget about the trojan that BetBlocker tried to download. I stopped the install and Kaspersky quarantined the rubbish from this app. I didn't even get as far as telling BetBlocker how long I wanted it in place for, or anything. But guess what, it is still in hiding somewhere on my PC, and has totally effed it all up as some sites I can access, and many which have nothing to do with gambling, I can't. Even the restore point doesn't work, due to this crap. So if you want to suffer the torture of the damned, go ahead, install BetBlocker. But you will regret it. I promise you.

Note: I have just received a response from BetBlocker. Do they not realise this review is nearly four years old?

I have used betblocker a few times but on the last download I couldn't get it to work, they were most helpful and now it's up and running

I downloaded this to see what it was like so i put it on for 5 days exclusion the 5 days ended 4 days ago and i can still not access anything it has blocked. Some websites it blocks i actually use and i still can't back on them. There is literally no way of removing it from your side. I do not recommend this app to anybody.

Refreshing that there is a free app for problem gamblers.
Unfortunately as mentioned in previous reviews this has rendered my internet at home useless. My phone now doesn't connect with my Wi-Fi . On my kindle however I seem to have Wi-Fi and so does my computer although a little slower. I've rated the app 1 star because my phone is pretty much useless at home regards web browsing but weighed up against a £1000 a month gambling habit I'm gonna persevere as if someone have me £1000 a month not to use my phone id take it. This is the worst item I have installed on my devices. My tablet barely works it's now desperately slow. My phone is largely unaffected. Plus I'm still perfectly able to open the very same sites the app is supposed to block. In their defence they were fairly quick in responding to my concerns but I chose not to follow things up as I don't want to risk any more damage but there are better option's out there and I wish I'd chose one of those.

Phone is slow on wifi at home. Got told to contact my wifi provider. So end up using mobile data to speed up use of phone but now data is being used and paying extra for addons. Except for that, app has helped, just fix issue when connected to wifi. Just want my blocking period to end now

Hi just to let you know that to solve the problem of not being able to access my fresh home broadband (wi fi) which is Virgin media I have had to factory reset my phone as the BetBlocker VPN would not let me access my home and other household wi fi's. Pror to factory resetting my phone I did what the technician from Betblocker suggested, but this didn't work.
BetBlocker need to take into account that when individuals instal BetBlocker on their phone that they may change internet provider and that therefore they will need access to that providers VPN as well as the VPN in other locations.
The product has not been fit for purpose due to this.
I have not got BetBlocker reinstalled on my phone and will not be reinstalling it. The product needs to take into consideration the problems it can cause for people.
I did not want to uninstall BetBlocker so that I could gamble again, I just wanted to be able to use the wifi provided by my new provider and to access wi fi hot spots in other locations. I ended up spending £20 to buy mobile data from giff gaff in order for me to access the internet on my mobile at home and in hot spots.
I actually would like compensation for the trouble BetBlocker has caused me.
I hope you will take the above comments onboard.

Terrible!! Everything was so so slow on my phone. Had it on my laptop as well and ended up wiping it just to get rid of the app.
