Struggling to set up my membership on…

Struggling to set up my membership on the app and book classes; amazed by the support and help I got from the call centre. Kirstie, is an absolute angel ; wow her patience and customer service totally brilliant. I’ve been told that I need to desperately loose weight and signing up for classes was the first obstacle which was made easy by speaking to Kirstie. Thank you.

Good instructors, very poor customer service

Good instructors, but very poor customer service and cancellation is unnecessarily complicated. So, the instructors are generally amiable, conscientious, and know what they are doing. However, cancelling swimming lessons is unnecessarily complicated: they request you to give a month's notice and to pay for an extra month at the start -- essentially, you need to plan for a cancellation 2 months in advance. For a swimming course at £30 per month, this seems just too convoluted and a money grab. Trying to engage with their customer services was just unhelpful. Would avoid to use again in the future, if we can help it.

Review on worse.org!!!!!!!

I have renamed this organisation worse.org!!!! I can hardly begin to catalogue the huge number of issues surrounding bookings with them. After weeks contacting them but every means possible apart from carrier pigeon I am finally recognised on the new system and also as a senior so can now get lower bookings fees so can book myself rather than having to go in to get an override on the amount. No apology, no message, no email - just suddenly noticed one day! For today's class the tutor was a no show due to petrol difficulties. A credit was promised when we all arrived to find this out but no it hasn't been so as this lot don't answer emails, chat questions, online messages and not even the phone (rings then cuts you off) I'll have to trot round there yet again to sort it out. I wish they'd sort themselves out - yes we are still in a pandemic but plenty of other businesses are contactable. I can't say they have poor customer service because frankly they have none at all!!!!!

Bullies!

I, my husband and 11-year-old son decided to book a swimming session at the Shankill road leisure centre Belfast, and what we saw was infuriating and sad. A middle-aged member of staff screaming at the top of his voice at a tiny 9-year-old girl for dare straying towards the deep end of the pool. The vicious way he spoke to that child was sickening and disgusting. The child was terrified and was visibly shaking. Her parents were not there, she was out with friends. I asked the child if she was OK and ended up consoling her until she and her friends left the pool. A while later an elderly gentleman with whom I can only assume was with his grandson entered the pool and were causing no trouble, this time a younger member of staff decided to single these two out for more shouting and abuse, his aggressive body language and choice of words towards this elderly gentleman was completely unnecessary. The old man left the pool clearly angry and embarrassed, and who wouldn't be? They must have only been in the pool for 5 minutes! Feeling angry and with a wee bit of sick in my mouth now, I sent my 11-year-old boy towards the deep end to see the possible reaction of the lifeguard, and guess what? This aggressive lifeguard said nothing! Zero! Nada! Looked the other way! Why? Well, maybe it's because my hubby is 6,3 and somewhat mean-looking, even though he is a softy a heart. I maybe should not have sent my son swimming into the deep of the pool to gauge a reaction from this young aggressive lifeguard but please understand I hate Bullies as most people do! So please if there are any members of staff from the Shankill leisure centre reading this, I have a message for you, you're not hard men. You may scare children and can pick on elderly people who are out with their grandchildren but you would not dare say anything to a fully grown man who looks like he can handle himself. Quite simply you are Cowards. Reported what we saw to the manager and she brought me into her cluttered and very messy office. How anybody could work in that mess is beyond me. I explained to her the behaviour of her staff and she just shrugged it off, clearly, this was not a problem for her. I asked her would she like her own children or elderly relatives to be spoken to and treated the way her staff spoke at the patrons but she could not relate. No empathy whatsoever. An odious little person indeed. Funnily enough, this same managers name appears a couple of times in Google reviews of the Shankill leisure centre giving 5-star ratings each review. I wonder how many more members of staff are writing fake reviews, or maybe it's just a coincidence. One thing I do know is the Dregs of society are working at the Shankill leisure. People, find another leisure centre and STAY AWAY.
