Irate Insurance Agent
Jason called yesterday and I could tell from the start that he was not in the best mood. I listened, went over his advertising needs, and then transferred him to my boss for the final decision. My boss explained that we could not take him on because we already work with an ACA client, which creates a conflict of interest.
Instead of having a normal conversation, Jason hung up and immediately escalated the situation into a full argument. The tension was unnecessary and honestly disappointing. I am sorry that his insurance business seems to be struggling, but taking that frustration out on others is not the answer.
Watching a grown adult throw a tantrum because they did not get exactly what they wanted is not a good look. At some point, the behavior crosses from unprofessional to downright embarrassing. I hope he finds a healthier outlet for whatever he is dealing with.
