João was the best guide I have ever had. He has a lot of energy and puts all of it in giving you a great experience.

This was probably our favorite activity we did our whole 10 day vacation. João is an amazing guide, he is everything you want from a guide, knowledgeable, funny, high energy and hospitable.

The experience itself was awesome, all the places he takes you to via kayak or in his van are amazing and picture perfect. There were so people on my social media commenting on all the amazing things we did that day. I would do this tour again or another tour with João. Totally worth it

This is the best experience we had in Lisbon. Joao goes above and beyond to make this an extremely memorable day. Joao’s knowledge of the area, his energy and passion for the tour are fabulous, the food and refreshments were great and the jokes even better! Highly recommended.

João is an excellent guide, full of energy and he makes sure you are having the best time. The whole experience is well thought, always making sure you are well, safe and with water, wine and food at your disposal. I had lots of fun and will do it again

This tour was absolutely amazing and was easily the best part of our trip to portugal!! João was so funny, kind and supportive and made the trip super fun! We got to hear lots of stories from him while we were kayaking, cliff jumping, exploring and snorkeling, and it made the experience very unique!

João encouraged us to do all the activities whilst modifying it to suit the needs of those of us who didn’t quite feel comfortable jumping from the higher cliffs. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting portugal.

The price was very reasonable for all that was included as well - food, drinks, fun, adventure and a wonderful tour guide!!

What a great day. João was a wonderful and friendly guide; with lots of corny jokes that we loved. We kayaked, went caving, jumped some cliffs into the pristine waters, and got to try some delicious local bread and cheese, as well as homegrown grape juice and wine. After seeing similar tours that kayak around the same area, we can confidently say this is by far the best one for your money and for the overall adventure.
João was engaging and enthusiastic the entire time, which made it all even more spectacular. It was a great experience and we will do it again in a heartbeat if we're in Portugal.

Such an amazing experience! João was a fabulous guide and was extremely knowledgeable as well as fun with the highest energy. He really put in 110% all the way from pick up to drop off, you can tell he loves what he does. The facilities were amazing, and all the gear was provided even gopro footage! The weather was not the best so it made the kayaking and caving slightly challenging, but João made sure we were safe and kept spirits and energy up. We also had plenty of delicious food and wine, you won’t go hungry! Definitely one of my favourite things I’ve done in Portugal. Highly recommend this trip if you want a fun adventure filled day!

This trip deserves all the praise it can get! Absolutely amazing experience and should not be missed. It can be adjusted to experience and comfort level. Thank you for an incredible day.

My husband and I had a fantastic trip full of adventure! João was a great guide — full of jokes but also knowledgeable. He provided everything we needed and more, from water gear to food and wine. The whole day was thoughtfully planned and very enjoyable. We especially loved cliff jumping and exploring the caves. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique adventure!

João made the my best day in Portugal by far. His enthusiasm, energy, humor, and passion was immensely recieved and enjoyed. He guided us through so much fun via kayaking, cliff jumping and more. He has amazing music taste and puts in 5000% every time. I would recommend this tour to anyone and I'd love to live it every day. Adrenaline like no other is achieved on this tour. He makes you comfortable, fed, welcome and you NEVER have to worry about anything. Not even water. He shows you the best picture spots and every nook and cranny of goodness there is to see. I would book this tour in a heartbeat again. Thank you thank you João!!!

We are a family of four (son 10 and daughter 7) who have never rock climbed but wanted an adventure while visiting Lisbon. João and Miguel were amazing with the kids and taking them through everything. Our son was up for trying anything needing little encouragement and having little fear. Our daughter was a little scared at some points but with João and Miguel’s encouragement and their patience she was willing to try everything from rappelling, to climbing, to hiking over big boulders and even walking along a the side of the mountain while tied into a rope walk. This trip is definitely an adventure and unlike anything we’ve done before. We loved every minute of it!

The food was also great. The prepared lunch was delicious - one of our favorite meals - and even our picky eater children enjoyed it. And the home made grape juice and chorizo after the tour were probably the best of both we’ve ever had.

We enjoyed the a quick dip in the ocean after our rock climbing. We brought swimsuits with us and were able to change in the bathroom on site at the beach. We didn’t spend too much time at the beach and the water was very cold but it was a picturesque beach and the views on the drive back to the Beyond Adventures headquarters were gorgeous.

This was definitely one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Portugal and I can’t recommend these two as tour guides enough!

Joao went out of his way to make sure we had the most fun filled day of our vacation. This is a great experience for a family with adventure seeking teenagers.
All equipment was included, and the food was excellent. His family casa (where you suit up) has showers for a quick rinse after the trip.

Awesome experience, highly recommend it! It’s a must do for adventure lovers! The experience exceeded my expectations as there was so much we did on the trip. Such a beautiful area! The tour guides were amazing, super knowledgeable and made the whole experience an unforgettable one! When I go back, which I definitely will, one of Beyond Adventures’ experiences will be on my list of activities to do. Loved it!

The tour was really great! The activities kajaking, snorkeling, caving and if you wanted to small cliff jumping were awesome. The tourguide João prepared all the equipment and everything we needed, even towelponchos for the beach picknick. João was energetic and fun and told us a lot about Portugal culture and the Nature. During the whole day he made sure that everyone was safe and having fun. We would definitely do it again.

All the gear was provided which ensured our adventure was safe and fun. We explored the caves which was such a cool experience. The water was cold but made it all part of the adventure.
The food provided was delicious and gave a peak into Portuguese culture.
João and Miguel explained the countryside as we drove through it and created a fun and comfortable atmosphere.
We had such a fun trip and would recommend to anyone visiting!

From the start to finish, the experience was filled with fun and positive energy! Joao and Miguel were incredible and gave us the best time!

It was super organised and all the equipment was supplied (and of great quality) so no fears if you’ve not done anything like this before! Also… they have thought of everything! From wetsuit socks to bags in bags for your phones/sun cream.

The whole day just wizzed by because it was such fun! They were so knowledgable and energetic, they really kept the entire group positive and happy all day (the dad jokes and Disney music helped too!!).

The start of the day we got to try a local delicacy and have some coffee/tea/water whilst we all tried on wetsuits/life jackets etc so everything fit properly. We also got to meet Joao’s dogs who were a welcome treat (and super cute).
Once you’re geared up they take us to the beach where we will start the activities (possibly the most beautiful beach we’ve ever seen). The kayaks were great and sturdy, and then we went to the cliffs to do some cliff jumping. There was no pressure but the support and vibe was great so everyone wanted to give it a go!
Then we had some snacks (which are always welcome) and did some more cliff jumping before exploring some caves. The caves were so cool and not scary for those who are scared of small spaces like that.
We then did some more kayaking and snorkelling before heading to the beach for some yummy lunch - there was no end to the food and it was a perfect meal post-activities!

After lunch, we got driven to the most amazing view of the island/beach area and took some pics.

We were then taken back to have some refreshing strawberry and grape smoothie, and some more local/homemade drinks/snacks before being dropped back to the drop off point.

Everything was thought of and so it was such an easy day! Best of all, it was recorded on the go pro they have, so all images/videos then get sent to us via a link so we can see it all and relive the amazing experience.

We would honestly do this again and again, it was such a wonderful part of our trip and we will never forget it.

Everything from start to finish is so well organised and catered for. Beautiful place they take you & really allow you to enjoy the day, with cliff diving, cave exploring, snorkelling and then nice kayak rides around. Joao & Miguel are also just really nice guys which makes the day so much nicer , thank you Guys

Joao and his team were amazing! Friendly, hospitable, funny, and easy going. The food was amazing, best thing we did in Lisbon. Would 100% do again.

I can't do justice to what a great experience we had with Joao. He really takes care of everything for the day and took care of our whole family. The trip was adventurous enough for the 40-somethings and teen/tweens, and also they did a great job making it manageable for the 60-somethings who aren't so agile or confident. The area is shockingly beautiful, but what really made this itinerary special was exploring the sea caves and snorkeling, which seem to be unique to this trip.
We also really loved his assistant for the day and need to give a shout out to Miguel, and the dogs at his family farm!
