We send parcels abroad and they come to pick them up from our office. That worked well. BGPost takes it from our office and we pay them the shipping costs
In order to make it easy for them I wanted to bring a parcel to their main office in Plovdiv. The lady behind the counter told I had to open it in order for here to see what's in it. The parcel was properly packed for our client so now way to open it. The lady refused to accept it. On Monday we will cal them to come and pick it up from our office. No hassle, no opening, just picking it up for whipping to our client. Never bring a parcel again to their office!!

Terrible incompetent service. Took months to process a package sent from the UK. Had to call them at every step to ask them what's going and remind them to do their job. Every time I had to wait 30 minutes for somebody to pick up the phone.
They often scam people
They often scam people. I've tried to send presents to my friends in foreign countries these days - books, and instead of a letter, printed matter or Item of correspondence which costs much less, they marked it as a small package on purpose and put a priority I didn't ask for. So something that should've costed me 9€ (3€ per package), costed me 18€ in the end.
Also, be careful with the change and with the receipts. Always be aware and if you see anything wrong, do not hesitate to call their supervisor or the Commission for Consumer Protection (CCP).

During delivery my item was damaged. I've sent all proofs and got an email, that I can receive my money in the local Post Office. In the local Post Office they said, that they are waiting an official letter from Sofia's Post Office. We are waiting this letter more than 1 month already. Obviously they don't want to pay money for the damaged item.

A National Embarrassment
Bulgarian Posts are a living fossil from the communist era, and their “customer service” proves it, being stuck somewhere in the late '70s. I just called to ask what was happening with a parcel that’s been stuck at customs for a week now. I spent over an hour trying to get someone—anyone—to answer the phone. Took multiple attempts until someone finally picked up—and honestly, I wish they hadn’t.
The lelka who answered spoke like she’d never interacted with another human being before, and treated me not like a customer, but a nuisance. I was yelled at, spoken to like I was an idiot for not being intimately familiar with their opaque, broken internal processes, and then told to “just send an email” before she hung up on me without offering a shred of actual help.
Bulgarian Posts are a joke, and that joke hasn’t been funny in over 30 years. Nobody in Bulgaria uses them by choice. We all go with Speedy, Econt, Sameday, or literally any other private company. They've somehow wormed their way into handling international parcels, but with any luck, that won’t last much longer.

Can I give 0 starts? Because it is what BG Post deserves. Bulgaria used to be great...no longer, and it is because of the people who lack any empathy, motivation to work, are corrupted at heart! And specifically for BG Post, if they can drag longer, trust that they will! None tells you where is the package, why takes so long, none offer help...hopeless! I am ashamed to say I am Bulgarian in front of the world because this is the mentality in Bulgaria - me, myself and mine, nobody cares about others...
Absolute incompetancy
Zero communication about a package being stuck at the bulgarian customs, I had to find out by chasing up on why my package has not moved for 10 days. There are attached contact information that is supposed to be used for them to inform me if there is anything still needed for the customs and upon delivery.
No such luck, also lying about attempt of delivery, where I have a camera that records outside, and no such attempt was made.

In Cimitli, very bad treatment for American turist! Don't go to this area of Bulgaria! Nice and friendly city's in Bulgaria - Pernik, Sofia, Burgas,Barna! Avoid Blagoevrad and Simitli (Симитли)
Terrible service
Terrible service, people are mostly miserable and it's not as cheap as they make it to be. In the hotel we stayed staff were complaining about the salaries, they seemed to get very low salaries and expected to work extra hours without pay. Stayed in Sunny Beach at a new hotel that opened a few days before we arrived. Staff were nice but were not happy to work there. enough said.

Awful service. A letter took 2 days to be shipped from France to Bulgaria and now it's the 15th day I'm waiting for my letter... What if that was important???? I called the bulgarian post office (paid number... no comment) to hear that "at the moment we are overwhelmed" and no one is able to tell me when I will receive it ... I would have receive my letter earlier even if I was living on a lost pacific island. Shame on you BULGARIAN POST.

i never expirieced delays or bad customer service, i can only say that in plovdiv they are very nice, i use they are serviceses very often! In post office 4000 in the package area all ladies are nice!
They cannot redirect a package stuck…
They cannot redirect a package stuck 150 km away from my location to a post office near me. They just told me to go there and get it. I will always use DHL in the future, because they have the best procedures for importing into Bulgaria. DHL even handles every detail of customs on your behalf.
If I had used DHL, I would have received this package 3 months ago.

I recently had the misfortune of using the Bulgarian Post Office and it was a complete disaster. I sent two packages through them, and both were lost with absolutely no assistance or support when trying to track them down.
I recently had the misfortune of using the Bulgarian Post Office, and it was a complete disaster. I sent two packages through them, and both were lost with absolutely no assistance or support when trying to track them down.
In the first instance, they returned my package to the sender without any notice, even though the address was correct and they did not even attempt to contact the phone number provided.
In the second instance, I received an SMS notification that my package was at their post office in Sofia, but when I called to inquire about it, they told me they are sending it back to their distribution center on the next morning, even though the address was supposed to be delivered to the courier firm Speedy which was just a few steps away from them.
Their lack of customer service and communication is unacceptable. As someone who lives far away from Sofia, I was unable to pick up my package on the same day, but they were unwilling to help or even attempt to deliver it to the intended recipient.
I talked with a lady at the Hipodruma office in Sofia, but the service was still terrible. I strongly advise anyone to avoid using the Bulgarian Post Office at all costs. Their service is unreliable, unhelpful, and inefficient

My parcel is packed on 22.12.22 in Bulgaria now its 04.01.23 and its still there without anyone giving you any information, rather (its on its way) The delivery address is Denmark which takes 24-48 h with truck, i am wondering if im going to receive it at all.
