The in-town location of the cabin is great! It is near Snow Summit and the golf course with lots of shops and restaurants a short distance away. The cabin is pet friendly and our dogs had a blast in the big, fenced-in yard.
The cabin is well appointed and had most everything we needed for a fun family vacation in Big Bear.

It was very comfortable. You feel like you’re at home.. you had everything you needed stay with cool cabins . You were close enough to all the areas so you could go do the things you wanted to do while there. We will definitely be using cool cabins again . They are legitimate thank you for a great trip & weekend

House very spacious has everything for cooking. Very close to stores. Street very quiet

My husband and I had a great time like we always do when we visit Big Bear; however, the slant in the cabin was too noticeable to ignore. The shower head was not ideal for such a small stall. I appreciated the clean bathroom and kitchen, but wished the spider webs inside and out were cleared away. There was a strong smell of natural gas through out the downstairs and the comforter on the beds were noisy.

Used big bear cool cabins before. Had some decent expectations for this particular cabin. The spa at bear trap cabin worked halfway. Either put it down to repair or don’t advertise a spa on the property. Only selected that cabin for the spa. Still used it but would have been more enjoyable with fully functioning spa. Signs in the rooms informing people that the heaters do not work is not a good look either.

The Cabin and the neighborhood was very quite and enjoyable. It is close to shopping areas, the Lake and the Village. The staff at Big Bear Cool Cabins was very helpful before and during my stay, and quick to respond to my questions.

I reserved the Grizzly cabin as my base for the Tour de Big Bear. The cabin was tidy and clean and the instructions were very easy to understand so I could enjoy the amenities. The kitchen was well stocked with cups, plates, pots, pans, etc so meals were simple to prepare. The bed was very comfortable and water pressure in the bath was excellent. The only downside was the cabin seemed to have too much furniture which made it feel crowded and cramped. I actually had difficulty finding a space to set my bike. Overall, though, I enjoyed my stay and will look to reserve it again next time.

The accommodations and the management company were excellent. The house was immaculate and among the best provisioned homes we’ve experienced. The large kitchen was well stocked, easy to work in and the appliances upscale. The bed/bath layout was ideal and the magnificent outdoor patio with views of the lake added great outdoor space. The management was extremely responsive and helpful to our few queries. We were very happy with our stay.

Everything about the cabin was great but I gave 4 stars because of a couple minor things. My family and I went to celebrate my Birthday weekend. The check in process was easy we had no issues. The cabin was supplied with soap,shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toilet paper, and towels in the bathrooms. They even had dishwashing soap, sponge, and trash bags in the kitchen. The kitchen had all the essentials for cooking. The cabin was easy to get to and was roomy so we all were comfortable. The only issues we had were there was a little bit of ants in the kitchen. Under one of the beds upstairs was a sweatshirt left from the previous renters so it wasn't cleaned thoroughly. A couple pockets on the pool table were broken, and 1 of the darts to the dart board. Otherwise we had a great time.

Excellent inventory of cabins, easy to navigate, intuitive website, cabins are clean, well-appointed, and completely functional. Instructions are clear and in-depth. I am a repeat customer who has always been happy with Big Bear Cool Cabins.

The cabin needs some improvements.

Fox Cabin was an uncared-for house. Two weeks stay (no alternative) and didn't complain endlessly to property mgt (not our style). BB Cool Cabins must know the poor condition of this house (they should drop this property). Our experience below (photos available), renters beware:

Exterior: Very short 15ft driveway drops suddenly into a ditch or onto the road--barely room for one big vehicle. Outside gas firepit didn't work, water-logged hot tub cover didn't fit (heavy), and rusty nails (pointed up) greeted our feet on the steps into the tub. Mismatched old cushions on deck chairs with some ripped and many stained. Deck bamboo sunscreen half missing and the rest in pieces. Old carpet scraps piled in a corner on Deck.

Interior: Overall dirty house (many spiderwebs) with worn-out, broken-down furniture, stained carpets and rugs, some old rugs had curled edges (trip hazard)--the double stick tape fix was gross and ineffective. Hot water tank popped and crackled into the night badly the 1st week--clearly needs service. Clothes washer sounded like a jet engine taking off--drowned out everything in the house. Primary bedroom was ruled by the outside temperature--freezing at night, hot during the day. Why, the bedroom opened directly into a sunroom without shades or proper insulation. A sliding glass door should have separated these spaces instead the owner jerry-rigged closet bifold doors that didn't fit and likely violated fire codes. Poor bedroom lighting, no closet available and the room smelled. En-suite bathroom window blinds were a tangled mess and inoperable. Poorly equipped kitchen, lacked hot pads or sufficient dish towels, had no strainer, minimal silverware, lacked cleaning supplies, dishwasher soap, paper towels etc. Dishwasher was not anchored (ridiculous), old fridge wouldn't keep food cold and ice dispenser didn't operate.

Wonderful vacation home for the whole family. Life long memories were made here, thanks to this cabin on the water.
Swimming, fishing, sunrises, sunsets, ducks, fishes jumping out of the water, bbq grilling, just to name a few.

We used Big Bear Cool Cabins for the first time and were pleased how quick and easy was the booking. We received the confirmation immediately with all the guidance and I formation about the property exact location and The City of Big Bear regulations. All the needed information was to us via texts and emails. We will used Big Bear Cool Cabins again.

Everything was perfect minus the weather. Was a bit warmer than one would like but that’s California! Coolcabins in the best!

Many things went wrong.. I already spoke with Director of operations.

Love the place and the people only thing the hot tub wasn't working but other than that I will bring my family back and go through cabin
