Had a fantastic experience with John D. driving the bus. Incredibly informative and engaging, and very funny too. I had hoped the driver would be the same when we got back on the bus after our tour of... See more

The Coastal Tour is a definitive recommendation! Especially the walk alongside the coast is beautiful and spectacular. The seats in the buses are umcomfortable though - that’s a bit of a drawback.

So normally these tours are a nice way to just sit and get a general knowledge of the area, but this tour was awesome! Our drivers and guides were Tanya and Freo, and they sang us traditional irish so... See more

48 Hr Premium Ticket - mixed feelings

48 Hr Premium Ticket.
Didn't start well as we had an over 30 mins wait for a red route, standing in the pouring rain. The audio commentary was so so but not quite loud enough. The app we downloaded was pretty useless. The map function was not very good and we found no way to access the real time bus info.
However after lunch, we boarded a blue route bus with Declan Tracey as our driver and guide who delivered a friendly, informative and humourous commentary worthy of 5 stars. Our final two journeys not so good- another digital commentary, then a live red route commentary but not as clearly delivered.

The bustour was ending terribel

The bustour was great. When we hopped of for ouwer last location, we asked the driver if it was right that the last bus would leave at that location at 18:35, as mangent in the flyer. He said be here at 18:20, the you be on time. We where there around 1800 houres. After contact the latest bus had left at 17:40.
We had to take a different drive. Is coastes is lots of time and money. So we were not amused

Great tour and live tour guides make it more fun!

So I purchased my tickets online and was told I purchased the wrong ones and could not have my teenage daughter on unless I bought another ticket so that was frustrating then I understand the protest caused a problem with the routes and bus wait times so I was very happy when one of the guys in the red jackets walked us to the next stop and kept us posted on the next arriving bus because I had 2 small kids In the cold had I not had issues on the first day with my tickets I would’ve given the rating a full five starts honestly the amount of care the young man showed to help us and Other families made me give the big bus tour a 4 stars here I love the live tour guides but I was sad that of all the tours we have taken around the world this is the first time we’ve had issues.

This was a great way of getting around…

This was a great way of getting around to all the sights in Dublin, however some of the drivers were very dull or had a recording going of the facts instead of live commentary. The other thing that was very frustrating was the timing of the buses at pick up sights, we would be waiting at a bus stop for 30+ minutes and when your trying to pack as much as you can into a 1-2 day tour it is very much a waste of time, especially when we would be standing at the bus stop and while we were standing there 3-4 of the green "do Dublin" buses would stop at the bus stop to pick up people that were on that bus tour before one of these buses would stop once. Another thing that was time consuming was having to do the FULL tour every time and getting kicked off at stop 1 and being told to wait for the next bus. There's two routes, why not have both buses going to the same stops but one is doing the tour clockwise and the other doing the tour counterclockwise this way people that want to go from stop 2 to stop 22 don't have to be on the bus for an hour before getting there.
It's an overall good experience and it was a 'cheap' way of getting around to the tourist attractions but very time consuming.

Fantastic tours

Fantastic tour. Drivers were knowledgeable and entertaining. I cannot single any one driver, we had a two day ticket which we extended to 3 days. Michael was the driver on our first bus and he set the tone for every other bus. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Dublin
