As Diane said RUN DON'T JUST WALK AWAY from Big Ridge Outdoor Kitchens. I was a repeat customer because my first experience was good. My current experience is totally different. I bought both the kitchen and components from them. They clearly cut out too deep an opening for the grill, skillet, and power burner because they didn't take into account the thickness of the counter top....this leave an inch gap at the bottom of each component which looks horrible. When brought to their attention they said it was a safety feature they implement to have additional ventilation on the components. I showed clearly that the manufacturer states on their installation instructions a 16.5 inch deep cut out and they fabricated a 17.5 inch cut out.

Spoke with Debbie, Jodi, and Garrad (all family as it's a family owned company) and absolutely NO ACCOUNTABILITY.... They basically said I could have my installer redo the stone facing to cover up the gap.... That means taking off all the exiting facing and totally redoing it....cost and time.

This is probably one of the worst experiences I've had in recent memory. There are many options for outdoor kitchen fabrication and I would strongly recommend not even considering BR.

Once the island arrived (we live in Hawaii), it was very easy to put together and looks great. It is heavy so assembly takes two people. We are very pleased with the quality. We tried to order the same island from one of their resellers who insisted on charging us California sales tax when it wasn't due since it shipped to a freight forwarder and is unnecessary. This would have inflated the price by 10 %. Big Ridge understood that taxes weren't due so they saved us money. Well crafted island and a good investment.

We were very excited to receive out Big Ridge cabinet and BBQ. On assembly the granite backsplash was 48” not the 24” required and confirmed on the engineering print. I had to rent a truck and take it off site to a granite shop to be cut with a wet saw. When we installed the BBQ, it would not push back into the counter top, so needs me to bring a granite specialist to cut cut outs - there is a 1” gap (hole) at the back of the BBQ right now.

I’m not even sure I have the right grill because their is a 4” BY 30” gap under the grill unit. I will have to cover it with stucco after building in a frame for that section.

I have not had a response from Debbie, a senior service person.

Purchased cabinets and doors from the company. Cabinet panels arrived with no directions or fasteners. Owner responded to emails with a list of items I needed to buy and directions for me to print. Once put together, I noticed the cutouts were to small despite having buying the cabinet door from them New front panel and top support arrived once owner was contacted (he requested dimensions for all units - all ready given,.....). Front panel okay except burner unit 1 inch too long. Top support inches too short for depth so we has to modify so unit was secure all the way around. Owner was contacted on every discovery. Rarely responded and finally offered $316 for a refund which still has not been credited to my account.

I studied products on the internet for hours and could not find anything that was comparable to Big Ridge Outdoors and their outdoor kitchen modules. They took my drawing of what I wanted to do and redrew it to scale with the appliances that I chose and sent me the plan back for approval in less than 48 hours and on a Saturday to boot! I made a couple of changes and they incorporated them quickly and sent the revised drawing back for my approval. I thought the price was very fair and got discounts on all including the appliances. When the units arrived I was able to assemble them in just a few hours, no problem at all. Everything arrived undamaged and I am in the process of putting veneer stone on my Kitchen and the concrete counter top will be installed next week. The value and the customer servic was impeccable. Big Ridge saved me a lot of money.
